30 Chapter 30 Alt POV

Epsilon was many things. Talented beautiful, her master's greatest confidence and tool were just one of the many qualities that she would proudly declare. But above all else, she wasn't stupid... Hell, none of the Seven Shadows were stupid except for Delta.

So when she was separated from Jake via whatever magic used by the facilities to send him away, she knew her master must have accepted the teleportation for his own reasons as she could feel through her blessing that Jake was merely deeper in the facility rather than far away in another country or something.

But either way, Epsilon knew all too well what Jake would want of her, as she drew her sword that was strapped to her side. "Beatrix do not kill him," Epsilon said flatly but the only response the steel-hair-colored elf gave was her grip on her katana tightening to the point that the magical threads creaked under the stupidly strong grip of the older elf.

And the arrogant blustering from Nelson wasn't helping as he seemed oh so assured of his victory even with his little clone tricks to say nothing of the powerful clone of the Elf hero that could give Beatrix issues with how we were being drained of our mana.

"I am only going to kill him a dozen times," Beatrix muttered with her katana glowing with a dark silver light as she held it to her side and Epsilon sighed with a wry smile coming to her face as she realized fulfilling Jake's orders to capture Nelson for interrogation may be impossible with the man's cloning technique and whatever foul magic that was being used to summon their ancestor the elf hero Olivier.

So with that realization out of the way, Epsilon snorted and then drew upon her blessing from Baldur and coated her sword with light that didn't draw so much mana from her before she joined Beatrix in fighting off the clones like projections of Olivier that were although very fast but lacked the strength such a hero should have.

"You can make clones... But you are far too weak." Beatrix coldly spoke as she cut four Nelsons in half with a single swing of her sword and even as the ground was completely covered in the blood of the slaughtered clones of Nelson and even as some clones broke rank to flee from the frigid-faced elf who cut them down with no mercy, most did not and just brainlessly ran forward to bring their swords down onto Beatrix who just carved through them.

"You have lived for literally millennia... How are you this pathetic? How have my ancestors been hunted by rats like you?" Beatrix snarled as the pure hate she felt for her own childhood of pain and the pain of losing her sister and almost losing her niece broke through the cool bland facade she typically wore.

Now she was a living monument to the hatred Shadow Garden had for the Cult of Diabolos... She wasn't one of the girls that obsessed over Jake's every word, thought, or move as she overcame her own demon possession as a child but that pure agony as her very own magic and anima sought to tear apart her body with mutations would never leave her for so long as she lived.

So despite her distaste for how she saw her beloved niece's abject worship for Jake, she knew he was the apostle for the higher beings that finally deigned to send help for the mind-shattering suffering people with Demon Possession went through so she allowed it knowing Jake wasn't going to harm Alpha beyond some possible heartache due to his inevitable philandering.

Even as Beatrix was deep in thought about how she could steer her darling niece away into a more mentally sound relationship with the man she obviously dearly loved. She still took her precious time just cutting apart Nelson's clones, oh she was willing to let the man surrender and whatnot... But until he did, she took great pleasure in killing three of the fat bastards with every stroke of her beautiful katanna's swipes.

"Olivier hurry up and kill them!" The clones roared but several Olivier projections couldn't best Epislon's beautiful and perfect swordplay which was enhanced with divine light that would remain and fly through the air with each swipe of Epsilon's sword.

Finally, though it drew to a head when Beatrix slashed open one Nelson's chest and but instead of just that clone falling down all the clones in unison vomited blood and a small smile appeared on Beatrix's face as she could feel with own highly attuned magical senses the vomited blood that carried the purest magical energy between the dozens of Nelson's. She had found the original...

And then with a flex of her mana enhancing her body to even higher levels that made even her trained body twinge in discomfort, she blurred in front of the true Nelson and as his eyes dramatically widened with true fear at realizing his danger, Beatrix raised her sword and then with a crack noise, she brought down the capped shaft of her sword onto Nelson's forehead.

She then watched him just collapse at the abrupt shock to his brain and just to make sure he was unconscious she kicked the man in the jaw... Two to six times, but she didn't bother keeping count honestly.

"Olivier disappeared when he became unconscious... And we need him alive so dont break his ribs" Epsilon spoke out dryly and Beatrix looked up from where she was slightly jabbing the fat man with her sheath to see if her would react to being beaten a bit.

"Ah alright." Beatrix said sadly as she slowly sheathed her sword but even as Epsilon grabbed the man by the back of his coattails to drag him behind her, she coudnt help but sneak in a kick that loudly broke the the man's knee making the tub of lard whimper in his unconcious state.

With Epsilon pulling the man away incase her next kick went somewhere more vital. "Lets go find Jake... I bet he alreadly picked up a new orphan with no memories or anywhere to go." Beatrix said flatly and even though she didnt show it, she adored seeing the overly concious fellow elf Epsilon try to refute the bet.
