17 Chapter 17

~Omni Pov~

It has been two weeks since Cid's relationship with his sister has gotten so ambiguous.

Apart from his ambiguous relationship with his sister Cid also spent it training both Alpha and Beta.

After Cid started sharing stories with Beta she has gotten a bit more relax and is a bit more determined. She also gets less distracted while fighting bandits and doesn't get as disgusted as she used to.

The three of them could be seen in a open field awaiting for Cid's order. Cid then proceeded to sit down on the floor with his legs crossed and while sitting down he started to summon multiple shadow soldiers.

And as the Shadow soldiers started appearing he said to them "I want you to fight them, while I do something. They should help you learn how to fight if you ever find yourself being surrounded.

It should also help you be able to learn how to fight enemies that comes in waves and doesn't grow tired"

After thinking about it for a while Cid then summons Igris and said "Help them out, you're the best swordsman I know so they should be able to learn alot from you"

Igris just nodded and brought the girls with the rest of the Shadow soldier a bit further away from Cid to let him concentrate on what he is doing.

'I have been neglecting it since I haven't really used it, but my mana core has been in the beginning of the silver stage for a while. I think it's time for it to finally reach the White core stage'

And with that Cid closes his eyes and starts concentrating on the Mana around him and started to pull it closer towards him.

And while that was happening Both Alpha and Beta were surrounded on both sides. They stood back to back covering each others blind spot and as they stood back to back they both shot off at the same time going in opposite directions

With a sword in their hands both Alpha and Beta kept attacking the soldiers and parrying their attacks. In some occasions Igris who join the fray and send sword slashes towards them and guide their sword in the right movement.

Alpha with her abundance of magic power was moving at an incredible speed and weaving her sword masterfully

Although Beta didn't have nearly as much magic as Alpha she made it up with her versatility and graceful movements.

And while they continued sparring Cid broke through each stage of his silver core and was about to make it into a white mana core.

'Well let's get this over with already. I really haven't had any uses for my mana core, so I have been neglecting it so I better just upgrade it to the highest stage possible.'

After compressing Mana and Purifying it for 5 whole minute a crack appeared on the silver core after a while, more cracks then began to appear until...

*CRACK*

*BOOOM*

And as the silver core broke a white shine took its place which was followed by an explosion causing the ground to cave in slightly due to the amount of Mana it released and the pressure it exerted.

And as the white core finally formed Cid breathed out black smoke, expelling out all of the leftover impurities.

'While moving my mana along my body and examining my White core I still felt that it wasn't enough, it feels like I could do one more thing with it.'

With these thoughts Cid delved deeper into his mana core and after fully examining it he thought 'I see so the next step is the integration stage' after thinking about it for a while an idea suddenly came to mind'

'What if I integrate it into my black heart. If I do this I don't got to worry about it ever being destroyed, I get, theoretically, an infinite amount of never ending mana, and If it does get destroyed it would just regenerate right back to how it was.

Since it would then turn metaphysical, meaning that even if it exists in the real world, it also exists in my soul or more likely spiritually.'

And so with that Cid gently wrapped his mana core with Ruler's Authority and a bit of magic from his Black Heart and started to slowly and carefully move it towards his heart.

He was being careful in order to not break it cause if he broke it he would have to start over again which would just be an obnoxious task.

So with great care he slowly moved it and as he kept moving it, his mana core and black heart made contact and as they touch a purple light soon spread across his chest, which lasted for a second...

'I can feel it. Such an abundance of Mana, luckily my mana control is impeccable. My very own heart has turned into a Mana reactor, with this I don't ever have to worry about ever running out of Magic and the possibilities are endless'

When Cid opened up his eyes what he saw shocked him, every single one of his shadow soldiers has started coming out of his shadow and started kneeling before him.

Alpha and Beta at this point just looked around not knowing what is going on but quickly followed everyone else's example and knelt down as well.

And when all the shadows came out they spoke at the same time "CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR LIEGE THE SHADOW MONARCH FOR GROWING EVEN STRONGER IN POWER"

Cid listening to all this just rubbed the back of his head in a shy manner and said "Awe thanks guys" while looking around his shadow soldiers, he then stopped when he spotted Yukihime.

Afterwhich he recalled back all of his shadow soldiers except for Yukihime and the group that was sparring with Alpha and Beta.

"Since when did you grow 9 tails Yukihime, last time you only had 6"

Yukihime then bowed slightly and said "It's thanks to you, your Majesty. We don't know how but what ever you just did has made our strength and power grow even stronger"

Cid grew even more surprised 'She could now even talk'

Cid then gave her a nonchalant nod and recalled her back into his shadow.

'So they grew even more powerful, cool. I'm really becoming closer and closer to an unimaginable existence'

Seeing that it was getting late he started stretching and said "That's enough girls, we have our daily hunt to commence"

Hearing him both Alpha and Beta stopped what they were doing and nodded and came closer to him.

Once they were close enough he called back all of his shadows that were training them and proceeded to summon Kaisel and fly into the distance.

The only thing I could say to that is

Sooooo yeah alot of people were saying that his black heart has infinite mana i just thought it just boosted it, apparently i was wrong, so I fixed it, there.

And the God of compromise does it again.
