With that Yuma was finally able to get off his phone.
He checked his watch it was already close to eight.
He was about to head back to the kitchen to check on the breakfast when the head maid came in to inform that all the breakfast arrangements have been completed .
With the work files in toe Yuma left his quarter and headed for a secret destination remembering last night's conversation with Father Fernandez .
.....
" What?? Father please... I don't think it's a good idea. You know how he reacts when it comes to his past . You want to put more gasoline on already burning flames, why not try something else??? "
Yuma's heart trembled at Father's words. He couldn't believe that a person like Father would come up with such a plan.
" Father.. I'm being completely honest, the plan itself is extremely good but the question is will it work on master ___"
" I understand your concern Yuma but this is the only way. I want you to deliver the news. We can't lose anymore time the we already have. "
Replied Father Fernandez with authority maintaining his calm composure cutting Yuma's words mid sentence.
Failing to convince Father to change plan he asked in a solemn tone.
" So what you want me to do is tell him to visit a place which once was so called 'Home' for him. "
" I understand your delimma Yuma but you must make this plan work. I'm counting on you. Remember one thing Yuma, the first step of revenge is to free him from the shackles of his own past. " Father replied in his calm voice.
.....
Thinking about last night Yuma reached his secret destination which just happened to be the restricted section of the library.
The library inside the villa was nothing short of a world class corporate library containing an exclusive collection of both physical as well as electronical books. The library was divided into two parts one was the common library housing the collection of books which covered three-fourth of the area while the rest of the one-fourth was the restricted section. The restricted section mostly housed the company records, reports etc.
Both sections of the library was divided by a special glass built with a biometric lock which not only scans palm print but also the retina of the person. The only one to have access to the restricted section of the library were the core founder members.
Yuma entered following the procedure and headed straight for the back. At the end of the restricted section sat a large sofa set behind which was a wood worked wall closely resembling the terracotta works. The wall was divided into six equal rectangular pieces ; three on above and three below. Each piece displayed different design .On the opposite side of the wall was large floor to ceiling window with a small balcony. The library was constructed to be specifically facing the east side of the island. It didn't show much of the ocean but the lush tropical forest of the island.
Standing in front of the sofa set and the wall Yuma intently stared at the magnificent lotus swan crystal piece. Both of them were expertly created to hide their true purpose. Pressing the swan of the crystal piece the lower middle piece of the wall immediately turned like a rototraslating door revealing a secret passage.
Yuma confidentily strode in; closing the door from inside. For a moment he just stood there. This place always fascinated him; on one hand was his master's past and on the other was his roots.
To his left was a closed chamber which housed the one and only link of Aahil's forgotten past; to his right was the symbol of Aahil's roots and upbringing in his forgotten past.
Yuma pressed the intercom system of the chamber and waited.
...
Meanwhile on the other side.....
After shutting the bedroom door behind him Aahil walked away aimlessly ; he was suddenly thrown into utter chaos. In his eyes ran the images of his dream from last night. His mind hitched at the chronology of the happening events .
Stopping abruptly he found himself in front of the restricted section of the library.
Giving a thought for a second Aahil entered and head of the secret chamber.
Over the years this chamber was the only place that gave Aahil a glimpse of his past.
Behind the closed doors of the this secret chamber was a room with plain white wall . On the opposite wall of the door hung a moderate size wall photo . The photo was that of his deceased mother. Other than that there was nothing else in this room. Lighting the oil lamp Aahil saw his own reflection on the glass of the photo .
Over the years, this room has served as a link between Aahil and his unknown past. This room was the symbol of his weakness which reminded him that he too was a human after all.
He looked up to the woman in photograph, she was a young woman in her early thirties. She had a tender look in her eyes and a loving smile. One look at her and people could see how caring she was.
" Father said to me that you are my mother, but to be honest I don't even know you.
He said that you are dead, but I don't feel the sense of loss.
He said you left a safe under his care and scarificed yourself to protect me, but I don't understand that why would you do so for a person who doesn't even know you?
Who exactly are you??
What is your link with me?
Till date I haven't found any answers to these questions. Till today you are a mystery Aahil Oberoi is unable to solve.
Father said that he finally has a lead in finding the key of the safe that you left in his possession for me.
I just want to ask you , will the safe give me the answers I seek or is it just facade.
I know you think that I am an ungrateful coward for not having looked for information about you where I can get any information at the snap of my fingers . But what can I do if I am scared?
I'm scared to find out what exactly happened to you. I'm scared to find out what exactly we relate with each other because I don't know what I should do after that.
What awaits for me in the depths your identity is what scares me but now I am left with no choice. I have reached a point of no return.
But last night's dream have turned the tables against my favour.
Was that.. burning woman really you?? "
Aahil was finally able to voice his dilemma and questions that haunt him in the depths of his heart.
The moment he heard that his mentor has summoned him back to school and has a lead in finding the key , he knew that this visit back to the country will be no ordinary visit.
Ding!! Dong!! Ding!!
The intercom ring interrupted his train of thoughts.
Leaving his inner turmoil in the hands of time he took a few deep breaths to calm down his anxiety and gain his composure.
At the breakfast table Yuma handed Aahil the work files, read out his schedule and reminded him of his flight in the afternoon.
Aahil didn't show much response but made carefully note on the points.
Yuma was about to take his leave after breakfast was over but stopped.
" Make sure you clean that room once in a while. "
His words were direct and meaning was obvious. His face didn't betrayed any of his inner thoughts. He didn't even spare him a glance. He was lazily flipping through the pages of a file as he casually dropped the bomb as if whatever he said wasn't anything out of ordinary.
