Chapter 1: The Beginning

In the starless night sky, a helicopter could be seen soaring through the sky. Only its navigation light could be seen blinking in the eerie darkness and the sound of its rotor's heard in the still silence.

Currently, six figures were present inside the helicopter including the two pilots.

"We will be landing in Tokyo in a short while milord." An elderly man said while facing a young man.

"I understand." The young boy said as looked out of the window.

This is our protagonist Hikaru Akiyama, a 16-year old boy and the heir to the Akiyama Family, one of the most influential and strongest families in the world. Hikaru has deep-black hair which has a tinge of dark blue in them alongside a pair of pitch-black eyes, again with a tinge of dark blue. His complexion was generally pale because of his circumstances. Hikaru was a generally tall boy, standing at a little more than 180cm with a rather fit physique and an attractive face.

Sitting beside him is a young woman, also 16-year old. She is Ai Hayasaka, the representative maid of the heir of Akiyama. Ai is a beautiful young girl with blonde hair that is usually tied up at the left side of her head with a blue scrunchie along with a pair of striking blue eyes that adorns her face.

The elderly man facing them is Seven Akiyama. A Strategic-Class Magician under the service of the Akiyama Family and the one responsible for the safety of the heir of Akiyama. Seven is an elderly man with a warm smile that can put someone at ease. He has grey hair alongside a pair of dark-blue eyes.

The other man accompanying them was the financial advisor of the heir of Akiyama, Edward Goldhand.

"Milord please sign these documents before we land." Edward said while passing Hikaru a stack of documents.

"Damn, how many months worth of work did you make me do these past few days?"

"Only a few dozen milord, nothing to worry about. It will keep the paperwork from stacking when you return or whenever you come." Edward said as he guided Hikaru through the paperwork.

"This is exhausting."

"Do you want something to drink milord?" Ai asked Hikaru with genuine concern.

"It's okay. I'll just finish it first." Hikaru said as he started signing the documents.

"Reminds me, I want you to continue the Artificial Eidos Recreation project. It will probably need Father's approval, you can consult your older brother about that."

"I'll take care of that milord." Edward said.

"This one should be the last." Hikaru said as he signed on the last paper before manipulating the Eidos of the paper in a unique way leaving a hidden mark on it. It was the mark of the Akiyama family which can only be granted by the Current Head of the Akiyama family and the heir of Akiyama.

Eidos is the individual psion information body of a phenomenon whereas Psions are the particle manifestations of intention and thought, simply speaking Eidos is the composition of the information body that is made up of Psion.

"This will suffice." Edward said as he collected the documents and placed them inside a briefcase.

"We have arrived milord." Seven said as he got up from his seat and walked to the exit of the helicopter before jumping off it while the helicopter was still in mid-air and was preparing for the touchdown.

"This should take care of it." Seven said as he utilized a branch of weight magic to nullify the impact from the fall before engaging chain-casting and deploying numerous protective spells using his Unique CAD.

"This way milord." Seven said as he beckoned Hikaru to follow him after the helicopter finally landed.

"After a few hours you will be escorted to the pick-up point where the bus headed to The Advanced Nurturing School will leave from."

"Okay. How much time do I have until then?"

"4 hours 29 minutes. Do note that Hayasaka will be coming alongside you acting as your childhood friend and will be taking care of your needs."

"I was aware of that already, anything else?"

"None at all. You will be provided with your uniform and necessary accessories in a short while. You may rest here in the meantime." Seven said while opening the door.

"Alright."

The helicopter had landed at one of the corporate buildings owned by the Akiyama Family in the midst of Tokyo. It was a 50-storey tall building that provided a birds-eye view of the landscape. It was generally used as the HeadQuarters of Autumn corps, a CAD manufacturing firm under the Akiyama family's tutelage.

"May I come in?" A feminine voice could be heard from the other side of the door.

"Come in." Hikaru said as Ai entered the room with some clothes in her hand.

"This is your school uniform milord." Ai said as she neatly arranged them in the closet.

"Ah, yes. By the way, Ai, do you know anything about The Advanced Nurturing Highschool?"

"I had been provided with a 500-page directory regarding it, so I assume I have sufficient knowledge about it."

"Is that so? Why don't you tell me about it?" Hikaru said as he sat down on the couch.

"I'll be glad to." Ai said as she sat down while facing Hikaru.

"The Advanced Nurturing Highschool also known as Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School is a school established by the Japanese government to nurture the young people who will support the country in the future. It boasts a 100% employment and college entry rate, and with thorough, state-directed teaching methods, it spares no effort in pursuing the nation's desired future."

"Acceptable, now why don't you tell me the Akiyama Family version of it?"

"The Advanced Nurturing High school is a school established by the Japanese government to produce and scout for individuals who are highly exceptional in specific fields and who as a Non-Magician can possibly beat a magical using sheer intelligence or other attributes. The school was established alongside the First High School to ensure that Magicians didn't dominate the society and it has proved its worth throughout the years."

"Excellent!"
