Chapter 41 - Demon's Pawn

Within minutes, he arrived at the restaurant where the conflict between two elemental geniuses and his family was taking place.

Wilson calmly and loudly questioned, "Who would dare oppose the Rogan Family?" as he stepped forward with an air of authority and destroyed the entrance to the restaurant.

While Elion and Camille remained composed at their table, closely watching everything, they knew the situation would become more dangerous. Jack greeted Wilson with a smile, but Rowan and Andre's brows furrowed as they realized Wilson's aura was at Level 40.

Despite their Elemental Might, they knew they couldn't defeat him. They tightly gripped their weapons and considered their options for escaping this dangerous situation.

Andre and Rowan looked at Elion and Camille, their faces begging for help. Elion and Camille quickly understood the situation and immediately started thinking of ways to assist the two.

"Camille, can you help them?" Elion inquired.

"Of course, I can match his level of Elemental Might. The Patriarch's aura is that of a Level 40 Elemental General," Camille replied confidently.

Camille held some secrets about her family's Combat Arts and a few other things inherited from Nirmala, which she believed she could use in desperate situations, especially when facing Elementalists of similar levels. Elion was unaware of many secrets about Camille's identity and family.

Jack reported to the Patriarch, "Patriarch, these two scoundrels have disrespected our family and harmed Young Master Ron. They are geniuses with Elemental Might of a level."

Emboldened by Wilson's arrival, Ron piped up, "Indeed, father. They dared to attack me!"

Wilson scolded his son and said, "You stay quiet! We wouldn't be facing such trouble if it weren't for you. Regardless, you both have crossed the line. You have injured my son, killed my family members, and disrespected the Rogan Family."

He drew his two hundred-pounds sword and slammed it beside him, shattering the floor. It radiated the aura of a high grade sword. Another souvenir for Rowan.

"Consider yourselves incredibly unlucky. Even the geniuses aren't guaranteed to become Supreme Elementalists. Many of them don't make it past their youth!" Wilson said arrogantly.

With a menacing swing of his massive sword, Wilson summoned a mighty wind made of his elemental power, which was both destructive and sharp. Rowan and Andre were trapped and unable to escape; they were at Wilson's mercy.

Just as Wilson's power was about to take their lives, a wall of water appeared out of nowhere and absorbed the full impact of the fierce wind. The only thing that happened was they got wet from the water splashing around. There was no harmful impact from Wilson's powerful wind attack.

"Who did that?" Wilson exclaimed.

His task became even more difficult. He thought he could finish it with just one attack, but the arrival of this newcomer complicated matters even further.

"It's me," came a soft voice behind Rowan and Andre.

They turned around and smiled. Who would have thought this beautiful and mysterious woman could save them both? Camille then raised her right hand and summoned five water arrows in front of her. Each arrow had the aura and might of a Level 40 Elemental General!

Wilson readied his sword in a defensive stance, anticipating any move from Camille. With each arrow controlled by her fingers, she released the first one toward Wilson by closing her thumb. The arrow flew past Rowan and Andre's faces, causing sweat to drip from their chins. Though compact, the arrow contained an intense elemental power!

Rowan looked at Andre, who nodded, understanding the situation. They could sense that Camille possessed a basic aura of Level 35, similar to them.

But, there was an even more potent supporting aura within her, Elemental Might of five levels!

Suppose those with Elemental Might of one level were considered geniuses, what title should be bestowed upon this mysterious woman?

Camille's water arrow was blocked by Wilson's giant sword. The impact pushed Wilson's large frame three steps back. She closed her second and third fingers, and two more arrows flew toward Wilson. Wilson could only defend himself with his giant sword.

The simultaneous attack of these two arrows was many times more powerful than the previous one.

Wilson was taken aback by the sudden attack and muttering, "Impossible!"

His hands shook, and he felt a tingling sensation in his arms. As his strength waned, he struggled to maintain his grip on the giant sword.

Elion's thoughts raced as he watched the battle unfold. Camille, your strength is incredible. How much longer will it take me so that I can protect you? he wondered anxiously.

Camille's fingers deftly released the last two arrows, her face calm and focused. Wilson had already used up much of his elemental energy while trying to block the previous three arrows. He knew he couldn't withstand these final two arrows without making any mistakes.

"I have no other option. I must resort to using that power," Wilson muttered, his voice laden with determination.

Wilson now left with no choice. He had to unleash a hidden power he had long kept secret. The power he was about to reveal would cast him as a traitor in the eyes of humanity.

With resolve etched on his face, he bit down on his thumb until a few drops of blood escaped, falling onto the demon-shaped hilt of his sword. The hilt absorbed the blood promptly, and the eyes of the demon opened, releasing a dark aura filled with immense power.

In that moment, Wilson's aura intensified remarkably. Before, he could barely withstand Camille's attacks, but now he possessed the strength to counterattack. He wielded his massive sword, executing a wide arc that met with Camille's twin arrows in a powerful clash.

"Hahahaha! Did you really believe you could defeat me, brat?" Wilson advanced, an undeniable arrogance in his stride, a dark aura radiating from him. His eyes turned a deep shade of red as he transformed, his body enlarging and sprouting scales.

"Wilson! What are you doing?" Jack shouted in anger, bearing witness to the startling transformation. Wilson's display of power and metamorphosis left no doubt that he had forged a pact with demons.

"Shut up!" Wilson's voice sounded more threatening than ever.

"Do you think our family could rule this territory without the demons' help?" He continued in a determined tone, "I'm doing all this for our family. Without the demons' aid, I couldn't have achieved this power level."

Jack was taken aback by Wilson's confession despite being his closest friend. Wilson's alliance with demons to rule the territory was beyond his imagination, even with all his flaws.

As Wilson tightened his grip on his giant sword, it crackled with dark and wind elemental power. A fierce whirlwind accompanied by black electric sparks surged towards them.

Camille quickly conjured two small water waves, pushing Rowan and Andre aside, keeping them away from the dangerous battleground between herself and Wilson.
