54 Losing

A battle that would shake the world was about to begin. Jax didn't think he could beat his grandfather at his current strength. So he went all out from the beginning. Activating his Bankai and his dragon abilities he stood there. Before him was a man that towered over him.

The feeling the demon king gave off was of pure strength, raw strength. Before Jax stood the ruler of one of the biggest forces of this world. He didn't know if he could win yet but he had to. The battle began the broadsword was swung towards the young man's head. "It is over for you" was all that the demon king said. But without noticing Jax had entered into his demon mode reaching a power level of 67.500. With Eien above his head, he blocked the strike. The impact, however, created a crater around him.

Slight blood dripped down from Jax's mouth. The strike he just experienced was with an immense level of physical strength. Not using his earth and wood to defend was something he regretted. A proud look was on the face of the one before him as he told him. "I said it's over for you" the demon kings old voice resounded through purgatory.

Every single existence felt fear from that voice. But only one person didn't the look in the eyes of Jax didn't change. He stood before the man that towered over him without a single shred of fear. With the Scythe in his hand and lighting surrounding his body he moved. Jax had just amplified his physical strength with the lighting element.

Before appearing behind his grandfather the lighting that was still sending shock waves around his body. But the weapon in his hand had changed a light could be seen surrounding the edge of the scythe. The fire element had surrounded the scythe. An overhead slash with every single ounce of strength went towards the back of the demon king. A sound of two weapons clashing was heard. There he stood calmly blocking the scythe with his broad sword. "You have much potential yet it's too early for you" a sideways slash went towards the chest of Jax.

A deep wound was presented he had been too late with dodging it. When he looked down he saw the wound it was nothing special but it would leave a scar. To stop the bleeding he burned the wound. Sounds of screaming was what one expected yet Jax stood there not saying a word. His face didn't even twitch. A second later the wound stopped with bleeding while he once more got ready to fight.

The fight continued but slowly more shallow wounds appeared on the body of Jax. But what could one expect? To rival one of the strongest existence of this world without fully understanding his own powers. Time after time Jax was sent flying by the demon king. Yet he stood up time after time not giving up. He wouldn't stand for it. He would win this fight that is all that he thought.

With wounds on his body, he once more stood up after being sent flying. The footsteps sounded hard in the silent purgatory. Step after step he got closer to the man before him. "Boy, why do you still fight," the demon king asked obviously interested.

At that exact moment, scenes started to play in Jax's head. Many things passed through his brain the

Moments with the sins, his master who raised him, but most of all the things he saw were based on the woman behind him. His feelings were clear the reason he didn't back down was because of her. He loved her and when she was in danger he had to do something. He knew he never could beat his grandfather but he came.

Fighting him without any hesitation. All for the one that stood behind him. Rose a woman who came from a whole different place than himself. A phoenix he once bought from a store he received from a god. He didn't know if this was all planned out or not. But he was certain about one thing. It didn't matter to him anymore.

With a smiling face and blood dripping over his whole body Jax replied, "let's end this." The two got into their respective battle stances ready to end this battle with the next strike. Fire was all around the broad sword and each element surrounded the scythe of Jax. Both people looked in each other eyes and saw no fear.

Like that they struck with all their force at first the two seemed evenly matched but just an instant later the broadsword came closer and closer to Jax. Until it touched his neck he could feel the cold from the sword on his neck. He could feel his skin slightly breaking while small amounts of blood came out of his neck. For the first time, he thought he could really die.

But just as all hope seemed lost a storm breezed through purgatory. And a voice was carried with the wind, "that's enough" was all that was heard. Just an instant later the feeling of a sword being on his neck was gone.

Clashing sounds could be heard.
