62 Fighting the ten commandments

Death something Meliodas had faced many times. The curse which was placed upon him made him miserable. Killed in battle, suicide he had tried everything to stop this endless cycle of seeing his lover being reborn and die before his eyes. It had been many times, but something had changed in the past few years. He didn't want to die anymore. He wished to break the curse which was placed upon them.

But he had gained something which he treasured, friends or rather a family and most of all he had raised a little boy into a fine young man. He had seen how he struggled how he became stronger, and finally, he found someone he loved on his own. And that's why he regretted dying this time. Getting stronger was what would happen once he returns but at what cost?

Before him stood a tall figure, but the voice that was normally so strong and proud was weak. It spoke with coughs in between. Could it be that the demon king his father was injured? Is what Meliodas secretly thought. But who could possibly injure such a monster and then the dots were connected. Jax who was so not himself the past few days and the sadness that seemed to be in his body.

It was hardly noticeable, but Meliodas wanted to slap himself for not noticing earlier. The only person that could possibly injure such a monster was his son's master. But he knew that he was wounded by the strongest demon king that ever lived, so internal injuries most likely caught up with him.

"Did Luciv injure you badly father?" Meliodas asked playfully and putting the emphasis on 'father.' It seemed that Jax got his playful teasing, not from a stranger. "What are you talking about" the demon king tried to put on a facade, but it was easily seen through. "I will be back" is all that Meliodas said before the sight of purgatory faded.

Now that the demon king was injured was the best time to strike. But Meliodas wasn't foolish enough to think he could do that alone. But most of all, he could understand what type of hate Jax now carried for his father. He wished to do this together with him since they both lost their loved ones to the demon king.

….

….

"What is going on here" King screamed at the top of his lungs. Meliodas had just been killed, and Ban was looking onward surprised. A young man who seemed enraged entered the place. The commandments which were just ready to leave were shocked by the amount of power the man released. Jax had come here as soon as possible, and with his voice filled with killing intent, he spoke. "You all dare to leave now?" And Eien was swung a crater of a couple of meters deep was drawn in the stone. "If any even a single one of you dare to try to leave now you will die a slow death. But if you stay, you will gain a little faster death." Rage took over his body when he saw Esterossa move "you sure speak arrogant kid."

He said while he struck with his dagger. With ease, Jax blocked the strike he had released all off his powers. Bankai, dragon power, flying thunder god. He wasn't planning on letting any of them go this time. Esterossa was surprised and went back to his original position, "brother your kid is pretty strong" he said towards Zeldris.

"well sorry to break it to you, but you aren't my uncle" Jax said while appearing in front of Esterossa. His hand that had transformed into a dragon claw while wind sharpened it slashed down. Esterossa tried his full counter, but it had no effect the only thing he did was minimize the damage from the strike. A wound from the beginning of his neck to his shoulder was now there.

It all happened so fast that the other commandments didn't even have time to react. Before they knew it, Esterossa was already wounded. "Let's fight him together," some suggested while the others agreed. The commandments stood before Jax, who looked unfazed by them.

"Come" is all he said while each element started to float next to him. His connection with nature had increased, and so did his powers. While he was in his rage, a hand patted on his shoulder.

"Ban-nii" Jax said while looking at the figure before him. "Let's do this kid," Ban said, wanting to avenge his best friend. Two people, one human the other half demon half vampire, stood in front of the elite soldiers of the demon kingdom.

Without fear, in their eyes, they waited for the commandments to make a move.
