CHAPTER 1.

There lived a certain rich family in New York namely Mrs. and Mr. Wilson and their one and only son whom they named Mike. His parents made sure that he got everything he wanted but they felt that there was one thing that Mike needed to protect himself in times of trouble. Something had happened to them when they were still young and they knew that the people they had fought back would come back for them and their children. They decided to send Mike to a karate school in China where he would learn how to fight and get powers that would help him fight anything evil. Mike tried to convince his parents to tell him why they wanted to send him to a karate school but he got nothing.

"It's for your own good son, we will tell you when you come back," that is what his parents kept on telling him.

Mike finally gave up and decided to do what his parents wanted him to do because he knew that his parents would not do anything without a good reason.

"Ok father I will go but you have to promise that you will tell me, "Mike told his father,

"I promise son, and you also promise to be a good boy, we will come and see you some time," he replied.

Mike had never been away from his parents since he was young and this was his first time, at the thought of this he almost cried but held back his tears because he did not want his mother to see him crying. He had a feeling that by the time he came back his parents will not be there but he just thought that it was silly.

"Martin, will you please come and take Mike to the airport or he might miss the flight," his father called his chauffer.

Mike hugged his parents and this time he failed to hold back his tears but he quickly ran to the car because he did not want his parents to see him crying. He just waved them goodbye and left. The feeling that he would not see his parents again kept on bothering him, he decided to tell his father's chauffeur.

"Martin, I have this feeling that my parents will not be still alive when I come back. Hey, you grew up with my father right; don't you have any idea why he decided to send me to a karate school? Mike asked Martin.

"Don't worry Mike, your parents will be fine and I don't know anything about why they are sending you to a karate school. You know that I always tell you everything, I would have told you and if I find out anything, I will call you. Come on, cheer up," Martin replied.

Mike felt that Martin had lied to him; it is true that he tells him everything but this time he had lied to him. He just kept quiet until they reached the airport. Mike and Martin were good friends and it hurt him that he was leaving him.

"I will miss you Mike but don't worry you will be here very soon," he hugged him and quickly turned away afraid that Mike would see his tears.

While Mike and his parents were preparing for Mike's trip, another family was also preparing for their daughter's trip to the same karate school Mike was to go. The family consisted of Mrs. And Mr. Wilson and their daughter called Molly. Just like Mike, Molly got everything she wanted but her parents felt that there was something missing in Molly's life so they decided to send her to a karate school.

"I will go to the karate school mom and dad but can you please tell me why I have to go, is there something you are not telling me that I should know?" Molly asked her parents.

"Come on Molly, you know that your mother and I don't just do things because we want to. We have our own reason for doing that and besides it is for your own good. We promise to come and see you very soon and promise us that you are going to be a good girl," her father assured her.

"I promise, and I will be waiting for you," replied Molly.

"Bethrom, can you please come and take Molly to the airport and please drive safely," her father called his chauffeur.

Molly hugged her parents and went into car. She waved them goodbye, and tears started streaming down her cheeks. She had never been away from her parents since she was young.

"Don't worry Miss, it is just for a short period of time and you will soon be back," Bethrom comforted her.

They arrived at the airport just as soon as Mike arrived. The chauffeurs both left, Mike and Molly's journey began. On their way, Mike met another boy who was also going to the same school and he did not know why he was sent to that karate school. His name was Charles and he became friends with Mike.

"Don't you think it's weird that our parents just decided to send us to a karate school and did not tell us why and I have a feeling that we are not the only ones on this plane going to that school? You will see when we arrive that we are more than two," Charles told Mike.

"Hey, we have to find out why right," Mike told his new friend.

When they were waiting for a bus that would take them to their new school, they saw two girls who seemed to be waiting for the same bus. When the boys went to them, the bus arrived and they did not have time to talk to them. They arrived late and did not find the time to talk to the girls. They agreed to talk to them the following day.

The next day they went to the hall where they would hear how they were going to learn and where the lessons would take place.

"Quiet please, everyone sit down. May the following students stand up, your parents called to check if you have arrived safely, Mike Wilson, Molly Wilson, Charles Waverly and Jillian Christall, Nick Lighs, Abby Freeman, Anne Olive and Hailey Meker. Ok sit down, I will tell them that you arrived safely. I'm Mr Wong or you can call me Master Wong, I will be teaching you for the rest of the year and others will come and introduce themselves," Mr. Wong said.

"Hey Mike did you hear those two girls' names?" Charles asked his friend who was busy looking at Molly.

"I didn't hear the names; I was looking at that girl. She is pretty but there are similarities between her and my dad," Mike replied still looking at Molly.

"That's why I'm asking if you heard the names because I think I heard her being called Molly Wilson. She might be your sister or a relative. You should go and ask her, you never know maybe she knows why we are here," Charles told his friend whose face showed that he was totally disagreeing.

Mike replied his friend not taking his eyes off Molly," Come on Charles, you can't expect me to just go and ask her about where she comes from or who her parents are, besides I think I like her so please forget it I'm not going to do that."

From his look, Mike showed that he really liked this girl but he was afraid to talk to her. He had never felt this way and he had never gone out with any girl so this was somewhat hard for him to pull off. He was afraid of being embarrassed in front of the whole school so he just gave up.

"Ok, but we should just talk to them because I think that I also like that other girl," Charles told his friend.

The lunch bell rang and they all ran to the canteen, Molly and Jillian were sitting at their own table and the boys decided to go and sit there.

"Hello girls, do you mind if we sit with you," Charles asked the girls because he saw that his friend was not going to say anything if he had told him to.

Molly replied with a smile, "hey, um you can sit we don't mind."

The boys sat down and started eating their lunch.

"Hey, I'm Charles and this is my friend Mike Wilson," Mike told the girls seeing that they did not seem interested in knowing them.

"Umm ummmm, sorry did you say Mike Wilson?" Molly asked.

This time Mike found the courage to talk, "yes, Mike Wilson and if I heard well you are Molly Wilson right."

"Yes, but I don't think we know each other or are related in anyway. It's just a coincidence that we have the same surnames, we are at the same place at the same time," Molly replied without taking her eyes off Mike.

"Who knows, maybe you are related and just don't know yet, "Charles told Molly who seemed so sure of what she was saying.

There was silence for more than five minutes and Jillian decided to break it, "hey guys, don't you want to hang out some time so that we can get to know each other."

Charles almost jumped with happiness and he controlled himself, "sure we can, why not? After all, we are from the same country."
