"Why you staring?" I popped a grape in my mouth as my eyes focused on Suetekh who had been staring at me so intensely I was surprised I had not burst into flames. He looked so extremely focused that a part of me wished I could read his mind.
He slowly blinked then sat down next to me. "Feed me a grape," he grinned.
I rolled my eyes, "Is that what you have been thinking about so intensely?"
"No, but all that thinking has made me a bit hungry so I would appreciate it if Mer Ek fed me."
I pursed my lips trying to keep my smile at bay. Even though the stubborn part of me wanted to fight it and not feed Suetekh, I found myself reaching over for a grape, plucking it from the small stem then holding it up to his lips.
