Pharai

Before Suetekh could utter a word about my previous question there was a knock on the bathroom door. I jolted in surprise but he was quick to hold me against him. He pressed my face to his chest then whispered, "It's just one of my soldiers."

I nodded as I let out a shaky breath. He caused more steam to raise from the bath water so that our bodies could not be visibly seen because he knew how I felt about other people seeing me so exposed. The water was practically white but I did not want to take any chances.

"Come in," his voice almost sounded lazy and nonchalant.

Since I was not facing the door I had no idea what was going on as footsteps entered with the clanking of metal. "My God."

"You may stand," he answered.

"God Horus and Goddess Hathor have arrived. They are currently in the outside quarters."

"Tell them we will be there soon. You may leave."

"Thank you my god."
