The Difference (A Speech in Poem Form)
There's a difference in everything
Stop
There's a difference in everything
Stop
Today is today, tomorrow's tomorrow
But nothing ever stays the same
You'd think it'd be simple
Now wait
You'd think it'd simple
Now think
What can be so similar can be so seperate
Yet the details are beneath what we see
Being alone does good
Being alone does good
Isolation alone does bad
Isolation alone becomes sad
The two are alike
But not so alike
And only one can keep you in line
We have each other in life
We have each other in life
It's God who we need
He made us indeed
To come together in life
By ourselves, we were made
But the numbers multiply with power
Doors open because of Him
He allows for us to grow by the hour
Like similes, things can be so similar, but different. As an extreme introvert, I struggle with communication and often find it better to be alone. However, isolation and no contact with people is bad. We all will have different journeys with God, but are one in the same. For there is only one way, one truth. HIS truth. As I continue to find balance, I hope this speech inspires anyone who is going through the same problem. Remember, we're not alone, and God makes sure of that :)
