Suzuki had finally ended up staying at the same hotel as Lakshmi and Jack. Given the relative familiarity they already had, they were not concerned about the relative reduction in privacy that this implied, since the couple shared a room. The Japanese called by the hotel phone and they agreed to meet at the bar on the ground floor. The three of them sat at an isolated table so they could speak discreetly. Jack summarized what had happened in the meeting with Ali in the Bazaar, and despite how expressionless Suzuki's face was habitually, his gesture turned to amazement several times.
