Bright Light

"Why are the monsters here so strong?!" I said, back stepping away from an attack.

For the last two hours we had been stuck in this dungeon fighting non stop with no end in sight. Oh, and the monsters just wouldn't die.

"It's probably for us to practice our spell forms on." Alice said, firing an ice shard a horde of monsters.

"Well that would be useful if I knew how to do it!" I said, cutting one of the monsters in half.

Despite what I just did, the monster just got right back up and continued attacking me. It wasn't until I fired one of Genki's lasers that killed it for real.

"It's like activating aura! You just have to feel it." Ichiro said, kicking back a horde of monsters with one attack.

As vague as it was, just feeling it helped me out with my aura so I guess it was worth a shot. For some reason I felt like I had to put Genki in his sheathe for this to work.

"Form Two, Flame Slash." I unsheathed Genki and swiped my blade in one great motion.

Nothing special happened.

"Well you can't succeed at everything first try." Akio said, trying to comfort me.

I let out a disappointed sigh before raising my hand to fire an explosion at the oncoming monster. Despite the effort I put into my spell, it didn't effect the monster at all. Before it could get close enough to bite me, I managed to cut its head off with Genki.

"Do you guys see that?" Alice said, pointing towards a bright shining light.

Everyone and everything stopped what they were doing and looked up at the light. "What is that thing?" Was all I could get out before the light became brighter and turned the entire area pitch white.
