“Not A Crush!”

It has been two weeks since The Duke got a new a maid. She has been doing a decent to good job. She's been cleaning, assisting The Duke's duties, cooking, taking care of the palace with Aspire, etc. But during this time, The Duke kept a particularly close eye on Evie. It was like she hypnotized him and won't let go. He wanted to know everything about her. It was like.... love at first sight.~ He sighed as he watched her clean the floors of the throne room. Aspire found him watching her through the palace window and wanted to mess with him a bit. "Sooo, sire, she's been very handy these past couple of weeks, correct?" Said Aspire. "Yeah~, she's been a delight." Said The Duke in a sweet voice. "So when's the wedding, sire, cause it seems that you have a very interested in her action" Said Aspire. The Duke almost fell off his feet when he heard what he said. He Looked at Aspire like he was about to jump him right then and now. "What. The. Fuck. Aspire." Said The Duke in a dark demeanor. Aspire had a nervous but still sly smirk on his face. "Sorry, sire, but you have been paying very close attention to her ever since she has arrived, it's almost like you have a crush on her, sire"Said Aspire. "It's Not A Crush!!" Yelled The Duke with denial and embarrassment. When The Duke looked back at the window he found Evie at the window. This spooked The Duke and he fell off his feet. Evie opened the window worried that The Duke might have hurt himself. "Sorry for the scare, sire, are you alright?" Asked Evie. The Duke blushed from embarrassment and got back on his feet quickly. He brushed off any dirt he might have got on himself. "I-I'm fine, Miss Evie, n-no harm done whatsoever." The Duke stuttered. She looked at him kinda confused but shrugged it off and got back to work.

The Duke looks back at his butler with anger and embarrassment. "If you say a word or do anything, I will not hesitate to bury you 6 feet underground." Said The Duke in a dark and serious tone. Aspire got nervous and smiled while walking away to not be pummeled into the ground. Later that day, The Duke was attending to his studies, but something was still keeping him distracted… It was Evie. She was all in his mind. Every little thing she did or her features kept him mind wandering off. Her laugh, Her eyes, her smile, the way she was so focused on her work, being so independent. Everything about her was so fascinating to The Duke. He just wanted to make her his Mistress. To have and to hold forever and to never let her go. When the Duke looked back at his notes he blushed so hard, it was like his face was as bright as a tomato. He was writing about Evie. He described her cute features in detail and didn't know that he wrote that. He then heard footsteps near the door. The Duke hid the letter in a draw and tried to act casual. When the door opened, it revealed to be his butler, Aspire, "G-Greetings, Aspire, What brings you here?" Asked The Duke. " I have come to notify you of your meeting with the other Rulers of the far away kingdoms, Your meeting with them starts in about 15 minutes, Sire." Said Aspire. "Oh, Right. I almost forgot. Thank you, Aspire. I will leave at once." Said The Duke. He left the room and headed for the Meeting Hall. But while he was away, Aspire saw the fallen papers on the ground. He sighed and started to pick up The Duke's mess. He opened the draw and placed the papers inside but before he closed the draw, one paper caught his eye. Aspire picked up the paper and read it. It was the Duke's letter about Evie. He smirked a little and then put the paper back were he found it. Aspire chuckled a little. " Hmm~ Not a Crush anymore, Sire, I do believe now, That you are fully IN LOVE with Miss. Evie. And you seem to have it bad for her, Sire~ Hehe" Thought Aspire. Then he left the study and kept that "Little secret" to himself. Evie then walked up the hall and noticed Aspire. "Oh, Greetings, Aspire! What are you doing around here? Shouldn't you be with The Duke?" Asked Evie. "Yes, but he is in a meeting, so I stayed behind to check on things, by the way you can leave his study be, I have already tend to it myself, he has some "valuable" notes in their that I assume he doesn't want someone to touch nor read" Said Aspire with a Sly Grin. "O-Oh, Alright then, I will clean somewhere else, See you later, Aspire" said Evie. Evie was confused by the grin but payed it no mind and took her leave. "Oh, Miss. Evie, you have no idea what miracle might be coming your way and what your up beat charm has done to the Duke." Thought Aspire.
