0 Prologue: Ambition

A guy with blond hair was panting, bloodied in the midst of a bustling city.

His eyes stared into emptiness, trying to come to terms with what had happened. Amidst the physical pain, he pondered how much he had wasted and how much he could change if he just had the will.

"If only I hadn't..." he murmured, his voice almost drowned out by the merciless traffic noise.

He was dubbed as the lazy genius, lacking ambition according to those around him.

He reminisced about his school days, when he was the lazy student who always topped the class, even when he only studied in the last seconds leading up to exams.

With high grades but little ambition, he came from a well-off family capable of pursuing higher ambitions, but he just coasted through life like a coward, acting as if he already had it all.

"I don't need anything, I just want to live my life peacefully," he expressed at that moment.

Even when his friends tried to motivate him to strive for a better life by saying,

"Don't you know if you had even a little ambition, you wouldn't live like this failure?"

He just replied,

"Of course, I know, but I don't want any of that. I just want to live a normal life like this."

He regretted his decision to be someone without ambition.

Feeling a life that was empty, silent, and lonely even until his final days.

"If only I had worked harder and become a president or a scientist or whatever. At least after I die, there would still be someone who remembers my efforts," he chuckled as he thought about it.

"If I had a chance, maybe I would try to leave something behind for this world after my death... If only..." After that, he only saw darkness and silence.

A deep regret washed over him, realizing how valuable the time he wasted.
