"You'll be more comfortable if you place your legs on each side of me and sit flat on my lap," Edgar advised her.
"I truly believe I would be more comfortable if I just sat beside you," Alessandra replied.
"Really?" Edgar pretended to be disappointed to make Alessandra feel guilty. "If that is what you want," he placed his hands on her waist to lift her off him.
Alessandra bit her lip and internally screamed before saying, "Wait! I'll stay. This much should be fine. We are husband and wife."
"If that is what you-Ow," Edgar touched the spot where Alessandra pinched him.
"Do not act like you weren't trying to guilt trip me. I have been around you long enough to understand your ways. You are in luck that I am sticking to my promise to not run away from you," she changed her position as Edgar instructed her to do. Now, she was facing him completely while sitting on his lap with one leg on each side.
