"Ahhhh!"
"What's happening?"
"This wasn't part of the plan!"
"Goblins! How did they manage to get here?"
The voices grew louder as the goblin numbers swelled. Suddenly, a booming noise echoed through the area, causing everyone to stop in their tracks.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The sound instilled fear in everyone present. No one could determine the source or reason behind the noise. Just then, the Winged Skull-Body creatures emerged, towering over the group with an intimidating presence.
Alad turned to Xavier, questioning, "What's happening here?"
Xavier chuckled, "Looks like we're in for a surprise. The second test isn't finished yet. It's amusing that they didn't leave us any weapons."
Amidst the chaos, a voice cried out, "Ahhh! What's going on? This wasn't supposed to happen! Goblins! How did they even get here?"
Lily interjected, "We can't take on all of them, they're all Grade B."
The trio huddled together, deliberating on their next move. Suddenly, a buzzer sounded, and a red circular void materialized in front of them.
"What's this, Xavier?" Alad inquired.
"It seems like The Elevens are trying to offer us something," Xavier speculated.
He remembered the game he used to play on Earth, where he would purchase weapons and store them in a circular void as his inventory. As he gazed at the void before him, he reached in and retrieved a sword, gripping it firmly but sensing that something was off.
"Give it a try," Xavier told Lily and Alad, urging them to do the same. They both agreed.
Armed and prepared, they readied themselves for defense.
"This will be challenging," Alad commented.
"But it will be thrilling," Xavier replied with a grin.
They shared a glance and sighed as the goblin and winged skull creatures launched their relentless attacks, leaving them no breathing space.
The screams turned into a chilling melody as the winged skull creatures captured their prey, gnashing their teeth and tearing their bodies apart.
This unexpected and terrifying situation took everyone by surprise, especially since the school had never been attacked before, according to the stories passed down by their parents. Why were they suddenly facing an assault by these hideous creatures?
Alad was gripped by fear as he witnessed the unfolding chaos, prompting Xavier to swiftly guide him to a safe corner for protection.
"Stay hidden and stay vigilant for now. If they come for you, defend yourself or call out for me if you need assistance. Got it?" Xavier advised.
"Y-yes," Alad nervously replied as they moved away.
[Activate Omniscient Gaze, host.]
"Oh, right, I almost forgot about that ability. Activate Omniscient Gaze."
[Activated. 4 LP expended.]
Taking a deep breath, Alad readied himself for the imminent threat, recalling the valuable lessons imparted by his aunt.
With his sword at the ready, he prepared to face the goblin's attack.
*Twang!*
An arrow flew past Xavier's ear, striking the goblin just as it lunged towards them. The goblin was instantly obliterated.
'Who did that?' Alad briefly pondered, but he quickly refocused on the goblin in front of him, determined to defeat it.
*WHOOSH*
Three goblins charged towards him, one after the other.
Xavier tightened his grip on his sword, opening his right palm.
"Now or never."
He moved swiftly, utilizing the Omniscient Gaze to identify the goblins' weak spots - their necks, knees, and elbows.
With one goblin leaping to strike at his head, Xavier slid down and sliced through its knees, disabling it. He then swiftly beheaded the second goblin.
"Phew, that was close."
The first goblin, still alive but incapacitated, met its end as Xavier struck its head.
"This body needs more training and exercise. I'm exhausted."

"What? Four Winged Skull-Body creatures too? This is going to be tough."
{Failure to complete the quest will result in punishment. You have 24 minutes remaining.}
"Damn it."
He then heard a voice, "Xavier, behind you." Turning around, he came face to face with the Winged skull-body monster, its huge hand about to grip Xavier's head.
Xavier quickly placed his sword to block the monster's hand and then swung his blade, cleanly severing the creature's hands.
*Rrrraaaargh!*
A painful scream echoed, drawing everyone's attention.
They were surprised to see Xavier taking on the large monster. "He's brave, but he'll be eaten," someone remarked with a hint of laughter, which quickly faded as the winged monster devoured them from behind. Blood flowed as the two monsters dived into their meal.
Meanwhile, Xavier continued battling the monster, managing to save himself by cutting off its left hand. He then identified its weak spot - the wing.
Dodging each attack, Xavier jumped to the left, making a small cut on the monster's face as a distraction. He swiftly slid behind it and yanked off its wing.
*Gaaargh!*
The creature emitted a terrifying scream as it plummeted to the ground and transformed into sand.
Everyone was amazed yet vigilant as they followed Xavier's lead.
"Xavier!!" a pained cry rang out.
"Alad." Xavier rushed to him, using his back to shield Alad from the two Goblins inflicting numerous cuts on Xavier's back.
"Now go to Lily," he instructed through the pain. Alad nodded and departed.
Five more goblins and a Winged skull-body monster materialized.
"Hahaha, this is real, it's damn real. I can't afford to fail this test, but it feels so real. Am I going to be devoured?" he pondered, unable to use LP to heal his wounds to avoid raising suspicion.
[You're in danger if you don't act, host.]
'Fuck.'
As they all lunged towards him, about to strike, Xavier opened his right hand in fear to defend himself, and something began to materialize on it.
A white, bright light shot out—a sharp ice shard.
With a single glance, one could see that it was anything but dull.
The ice shard struck the monster, freezing them in place. Without hesitation, Xavier rose and sprinted towards the others pursuing him, then hurled the ice shard at them.
*WHOOSH*
The ice shard sliced through the air as it homed in on the goblin.
*CLANG*
The goblin's claw was undoubtedly sharp as it managed to deflect the ice shard, but Xavier had a different strategy in mind.
Despite the pain, Xavier sprang up
with an ice shard the size of a football in his hand.
*WHOOSH*
Due to the close proximity, the goblin couldn't dodge the ice shard ball.
*BAM*
Xavier struck the goblin's face with the ice shard ball, sending it flying.
Two more goblins swiftly approached, prompting Xavier to say, "Now it's time to step things up."
"GRAKKKK." The goblins uttered incomprehensible words, but Xavier paid no attention.
Both Xavier and the goblin charged towards each other.
Xavier formed an ice shard ball in his hand and leaped as they closed in.
*CLANG*
The goblin managed to block the strike with its claws, but Xavier had a different target in mind.
With a swift kick, Xavier landed a blow on the goblin's face before it could react.
The goblin grunted in pain as it lost its balance, giving Xavier a clear shot at the second goblin.
In a state of fear and desperation, the last goblin wildly swung its claws at Xavier.
Using the goblin's own momentum, Xavier deflected the strike with a light tap.
Utilizing a simple technique, Xavier redirected the goblin's force against it.
With precision, Xavier's palm, holding an ice shard ball, connected with the last goblin's face.
Xavier faced the winged skull-bodied creatures, breathing heavily and with blood trickling down his back. While they bore a resemblance to vampires, they lacked the rapid healing, agility, and sunlight tolerance typically associated with them.
The creatures closed in on Xavier, o
verwhelming him as he grew weaker. Despite his condition, Xavier mustered his strength for one final attack.
As arrows rained down on the monsters, Lily felt unsure of what to do in the face of the overwhelming threat. Alad, determined to help, rushed into the fray. However, when he encountered Xavier's gaze, it seemed to warn him to stay back.
Ignoring the warning, Alad pressed on, prompting Lily to intervene. She grabbed Alad and took to the air, her wings propelling them away from the danger.
*Boom!*
A brilliant white light shot out an ice shard ball, distinct from the first attack. It entered the monster's body, causing a clear explosion that disintegrated them into sand and then dust, making them vanish. Xavier then lost consciousness.
Lily and Alad hurried to his side, attempting to rouse him, but his body grew colder by the moment. Frustration was evident in their eyes.
More of them gathered, launching a more aggressive attack.
"There are too many, we're outnumbered," Alad remarked.
"We must stick together," she nudged Alad as she spoke.
"Hey! Everyone, come over here and stay close, we can't afford to be split up," she called out.
"Agreed, let's all stay together," Eirian chimed in.
