69 Making a Statement

The first impression that everyone present had of Morpheus was that he was aloof and arrogant. That was because he was a man of few words and always had a deadpan expression on his face, leading people to believe that he was a haughty character.

However, the others wouldn't call him out on it, seeing as he was being personally introduced by Alex himself. The young sanguine had a very favorable reputation in the supernatural world; at least among the younger generation, that is.

He was a very well-connected man and had friends in many places. There were also rumors that one of Alex's family members was actually a manager of a Cosmopolitan! That in and of itself allowed any member of Alex's family to enjoy a revered status.

The cosmopolitan was just that prestigious.

So, since Alex was the one going around and introducing Morpheus, no one tried to find fault with the youth. They naturally assumed that he also had a high status, like Alex.
