Chapter 2:What happened?

The life that people has been used is suddenly gone.The place looks like a battlefield which there are many casualties soldiers body laying around. The stench of blood and the foggy field

"This place look's like it took a hell of a beating...." Allen said

We walked around to see more of what used to be a peaceful and noisy town turned into a mercenaries battlefield.

"Ugh the stench..." Marian said with a disgusted look

"It looks like the bodies have been around here for about hours...."

We kept wandering around the area and suddenly Marian shouted

"Guys! look! that guys look's like its still alive" We ran towards Marian and saw her with the man. He is fighting well... his lower half is crashed under a heavy concrete wall he might pass out any moment from now...suddenly he gained conciousness

"Ugh.... where am i?" He asked like it was nothing and then he felt some pain the hormone effect might've expired..But the giid thing is he's not panicking.... it's good to see him not panicking

to avoid blood loss

"Wait here sir we will call for medical help" Allen said.

"Marian you come with me" "Okay"

"Adam you stay here... Ok? We will find some help"

Both left to find medical personel. I heard the man whisper something

"I'm not gonna die" repeatedly

He looked at me

and talked to me

"Boy come're imma tell you something important.... Go to the man named Warren he might not be here at the moment but you will know its him.... He wears trenchcoat and jeans and black shoes,He look's well mannered and have an eyepatch in his left eye, say to him Admiral James had sent you and tell him my death... This place is not good for young boys and girls like you with a good future....Aaaggghhh aahhh hhaaaaaa*pants violently* Boy my life is at it's end just do what i said.... he knows how to change you and your freinds life for the better.... Please take it as an request from an dying old man...." He laid dead on the cold concrete he laid on as he struggle...what a tough guy.

I was schocked.. I looked at him noticing some strange tattoo at his arm and an emblem that symbolises or should look like an Eye.., still absorbing what the guy said. Soon the two came back with a medical staff

"Are you ok" They asked, I replied with "Yes'

"The guy is dead...Cause of Death: Severe blood loss"

"What a tragic event.." Marian said with a sad look at her eyes.

"Well...." The 3 of us get ourselves to the medical tent to treat our wounds and to ensure no infection.

We walked around the place and we see Josh,Fred and Ariel also getting themselve checked and clean any wounds.

"Josh what's up?" I said to him

"Oh Adam is it? How are you guys"

"Fine.... Just quite exhausted with the events *sigh*"

"Oh.... Well can't force you to cheer up after that unfortunate event.."

"How are you Allen.., Marian?"

"Good..." Allen replied

Fred came and his wound on his eye is stitched up

"You fine buddy" I asked him

"Yea... it still hurts but don't worry they prescripted and given me painkillers"

I asked Josh where is Ariel

"Ariel? who's that.... Fred you know someone named Ariel?" "None..... I guess i know one.. but he is not here he is a soldier to be exact my brother"

We were baffled with what Fred said. We looked at each other confused

Allen asked them

"Did you not noticed the guy you're with on the tunnel?"

"No?... We were also baffled when you said Ariel in the Tunnel even though there were no other people we came with beside us two and you're group"

"Maybe you're hallucinating or just an imagination created by the event....."

"Yea.... Maybe" Marian said

After the talk we sat down next to an Medical tent.Allen had fell asleep he might be exhausted after what happened, Marian get up and said "Imma take some bottledwater kay?" It's been 10 minutes since she left... And I suddenly fell asleep..

"Adam....Adam"

"Huh?, Where am i"

I gained conciousness and saw the girl sitting in a mossy bolder and behind her are fallen pillars. She looks like in her teens.

The eminating light above her penetrating her pale face... her blonde hair are like silk linen it looks smooth.

Her Hazel eyes looks like gold as light passes her eyes..

I was awed at her beauty and fairness.

She smiled at me and looked at me. Then she spoke

"How are you Adam?"

I was stunned for a moment like time has stopped

She giggled

"Adam you should go now... Our meeting is short and we barely talked....Well let's meet again sometime, You're friends are looking for you"

I suddenly waked up and looked around, Most people are resting Allen is still asleep. I looked for Marian and I found her... She is also sleeping mumbling something and then she suddenly waked up. She opened her eyes and looked at her surrounding and she looked at me and smiled "Good Morning Adam" yeah Good Morning Also.

You might be baffled to how we know the passage of time since we currently living Underground.... well to be frank.. I don't know The only indication is that the headquarters of the Police and some Military personnel is a Ball with indication of Night and Day.

Allen had waked up and sat up. "Yo" I said to him,He did not responsed

"Allen you okay?" Marian asked him.... Still no response from him

His eyes were blank as if he entered some Cathatonic state or something.... He is Lifeless for a minute or two.

He gasped for Air and pants

"Allen" we both rushed toward him and asked if he is alright

After some few second he responsed

"Yea... Im fine...." He sweats cold bullets and confused.He stand up and go to a bathroom stall" We looked at each other confused with what happened. Allen came back and we stand up and looked at him and I asked him if he's alright, He responsed "Yes..." The look on his eyes were the look of someone who saw something scary and dark,He was hazed looking at the floor

"Look at me" Marian said with look on her eyes that want's answer

Allen was hesitant at first but after a Minute of Silence He talked

"Fine.... I will talk" He said. The look on his eyes says Scared...

He looked at us and sigh and talked

"Guys... I think we should not talk about some nonsense like...The dream of other's maybe?" and then he left and said he would grab a bottle of water

Maria sighed and looked at me... I don't like the look on her eyes , Her look at me is unsettling... I looked away from her then looked back at her... She is pouting and about to cry the look on her face were like that of a child not getting what it wants when they go shopping with their parent. I stand up and left she is still looking at me with those eyes.

I left the area and looked around to see the townsfolk and the once lively town now in ruins. The look at there faces were saddening. people lost loved ones and those with severe injuries and the passed one's

At the crowd of people i saw him again...The guy on the tunnel looking down at someone or something...I don't know what he's doing...I walked through the people and when i came to where is he, He vanished.... I looked around to see where he had go.... I didn't see any signs of him

I looked at what he was looking at it was a dead guy.. At first glanced I did not noticed the man but after a closer look I noticed the old man.. it was the old guy i saw before the event..The one with strange aura

I looked around him more and i saw the same tattoo with that old man that died earlier.. I also noticed the same emblem or symbol of an Eye...I was baffled at first and think'd that they might've be friends of sort..

The cramped place and the smell of the dead makes me feel uneasy.The Town Looked dark and uncomfortable. I looked at the aftermath of the Incident, It made the lamp post that once lights the corners of the town and the light from townsfolk household are now disappeared.

After I inspected the area I left.Casually walking and i tumbled and almost fall i looked back.. It was a rock, I smiled terrificly it made my day.It was a good Ice breaker for a moment to forget what i'm thinking while walking. I tried to find the two Marian and Allen and found no luck at all,I've gone tried find where the Medical tent is,Because it's my Landmark to find those 2....

I looked around and seen a tunnel.It's no known tunnel to me since the day that when we moved in this bunker Allen,Marian and I have gone to searching, It's like when Kids tryed to explore the neighborhood and found some secret places.

Most tunnel on the area is known to us,But this tunnel.. I don't recognize it

"Adam" A voice called to me, I looked back and there was Allen and Marian found me

"Hey Adam we've been looking for you" Marian said looking worried

"Man it's not good for us to move away from each other..Especially at time like this."

I Nod at them and then I looked at the tunnel and asked

"Guy's do you recognize this tunnel"

"No..but it looks familiar"

Marian looked confused and uncomfortable like something is bugging her, After a while of her brainstorming she said "None" and smiled at us. "Yea..we do not recognized the tunnel

"Hey who's there?" A voice called afar suddenly

"Quick let's go and comeback later go go" After that moment we ran towards the tent

"*sigh's*" we looked at each other and laugh

"Hahahaha..haha. Just like those days when the police came and came towards us and made us running crazy..hahah hahH" "yea haha" "Just like the old days"

we layed down at the cold and hard concrete only topped by a piece of thick clothe to protect us from debris and hazardous small pieces that could cut our skin.

We stared at the Police Head Quarters above while laying down

"What does it look like up there?" Marian said

"I have no idea what might've be"

I laughed at them and said "There is nothing there the only thing that you'de see is Police and Military personels..."

"Oh really? where did you read it aye local bookworm?"Marian said sarcasticly

"Stop it Marian do you want to get roasted by Adam in this argument you're trying to make?"

She looked like she's on the brink of crying

I mocked her and said "Yea you would'nt win in this fight you're trying to make"

We laughed while Marian is crying "Why are you guys mean to me?

Meanwhile at the Police HQ

"Sir here are the report's about the Incident"

"Sir the Captains are requesting to talk at the phone" "Sir" "Sir..."

"Aaagghh Enough! i'll looked at those later"

The police get out of the office

"Oh? what are you mad about Commander Andrew?" "Shut it Hans...Those people won't stop with those reports they annoy me alot"

"Oh? is it?,That's surprising that the Commander of Police HQ base 16 have such Attitude." "Shut it Hans what im problem'ed about is Him" "Who?" "You'll see...".

"Guys..I have an Idea"Marian said to us,

"Really?" "Yea"

I looked at her.. amazed at how she tries to live like there's nothing happened and always there to amuse us.

"Tell us your Idea Smartpants" I said to her sarcasticly "She grunt at me looking pissed

"Hahaha stop it you two..We don't any tears to cover the Area" .

She looked down and suddenly look at us pouting. She started crying and running toward us,As response we also run we didn't look back and suddenly,Allen bumped Into a guy with long trench coat,

"Sorry sir" he looked at Adam and smiled

"Keep that... Don't lose the kid in you...".

We stared at him for a moment and looked at each other. The guy left and we looked back and saw Marian running.. We also run away looked back for a second and saw the guy turn into "Smoke" I looked to where I'am heading.I thud into a wall, I tried to drift and I slipped and hit the wall. I was stunned for a moment.After a while i waked up.It looks like my head got bumped on a rock I asked the two "Did I passed out?" Allen said

Marian looking at me,She still looked pissed at me. I laughed her off and i noticed something wet on my head.It was blood,I tried to move and i tumbled a bit "Man, I think that you should stay here for a moment" "Nah it's just a little wound" Marian looked at us and gived me a cotton towel "Here take this I already thought that this might happen that someone here might be injured" I was surprised that she planned it. I smiled at her and said Thank you and Sorry "No problem...I forgive you" "Is that so?".

We walked and go for the nearest medical tent to us. My wound was bandaged I looked at Marian,I suddenly remembered about what she said earlier. "Marian...What is that you have thinked earlier...that you have an Idea?"

She looked at me confused and asked what Idea?

She thinked a little and remembered "Aahh you mean earlier..right?" "Yea" "What is it about again....*thinking* Aah yeah it was about that we should explore the tunnel earlier."

"Hahahahahahahah"Allen laughed at her "Good Idea Marian should we go now?

"Yeah" Both asked if I want to goand I said yes

We walked the path we took toward the unknown tunnel..After a while we found it.

"Whoossshhh....." We looked at the tunnel and Allen said, "Well..this is it..there's still coming back if you guys don't want to go there's still time" "Yeah No chickens allowed"Marian said "Who's gonna chicken out?maybe it's you."I said compently. Allen smiled at us."Let's go now then" At that moment we were spotted by an police.She looked at us and said "Get back here" as usual we snugged it off and runned inside the tunnel.it was a long tunnel and it's wet too after a while we get to the end of the tunnel."There's light that must be he end of this tunnel" We we're excited to take a look at the end of this tunnel.

The light from outside blinded us for a moment.As our eyes adjusted to the light we see it again.. Trees and sunlight.Allen and Marian were stunned and suddenly Marian cried.She must be happy to see the outside world again after years.

"I am happy to see the outside world again"

Allen was sucked into how the world didn't change much only thing that we noticed the Flora and Fauna is much abundant now.

"ohohoho humans? I thought that you live in these modern domes?" A female human dresed in black and red came out from the flora. I asked what these"Domes" are. "Look at your back"for the first time we looked back and seen a huge dome made of metal and a huge plate of satellites and some Solar panels.

"So what are you doing here guys? Are you humans?" Marian asked them

"Humans? Ha! don't make us laugh were not like you hairless apes" It called us apes

"So what are you guys?" Allen asked

"We are Monsters that roam the night"

Allen looked at me confused to what these people are saying is true,Looking for answers he asked them again

"Tsk..here i'll prove it to you" she pointed out here finger towards Marian's chest and suddenly she coughed up blood.

"Hahahahahah..hahah.haaaah. See?" She grinned at us.

A Man came out of the bushes with other females with him.He is well dressed with a white outfit and the female he's with are dressed in Black but .

"What are you doing?" He said to the girl with a Deep voice

"Im just proving to these Humans what we really are..Proving to them that we're much stronger than them."

"Is that so?.."

He looked at Marian

"That human female I think we should turn her into one of us"

"No way were living any of them alive"

She jumped toward us and as she goes down everything looks like in slow motion.I looked at Allen and saw the female fall toward him and bit his neck.Blood spill from everywhere after that i runned towards the tunnel and came down from where we've go through,As i run downstairs i tripped and fall all the way to the end of the stairs.

I fell unconscious as I hit myself with the concrete.

"Kid are you alright?" A man waked me up and asked if im fine.

"No, my head hurts a lot".

"Well you're lucky you didn't break your neck when you hitted the concrete".

I suddenly remembered my friends and asked the man if he knows where the nearest military checkpoint.

"No"

I looked at the man and noticed he is the same man i bumped into earlier.

The man looked at me with his cold black merciless eyes,

"Woah woah kid easy,I'm not gonna hurt you,Calm down"

"Sir please help me and my friends!"

"What happened?What's going on?"

I pulled his sleeve and pointed at the tunnel

"There...We should go back there, My friends are in danger"

"So you've been there huh?"He said with his cold voice.

"What?" I asked

"You've been up there right?,You've seen the outside world with your friends right?"

I felt guilty to what he said.

"Well...that's the consequences of your actions...It cost your friends or your family."

I was ashamed to what he said knowing it's true that being carelessness and unthoughtful to what might've happen.

"Well..imma help you,but in return you will work for me"

Consciously I don't to work for anyone but Unconsciously I want to do what's needed to save them.

He grabbed me and we started running upstairs of the tunnel,As we reached the end of the tunnel,A loud bang was heard.

We look around and saw no one there,The monsters,Allen and Marian are also gone,The only thing that's left is the blood of Marian and Allen.

We looked around the vicinity and tried to search for them, While walking I asked him what are those "Monsters".He didn't answered me. We kept looking again and heared a gunshot much louder.

"Well...those things are monsters..They're blood suckers,They're like vampires on crack,They're immuned to the Sun,Staking their hearts won't work..Only special weapons."

"I want to know more...I want to get revenge,I want to avenge my friends...."

"Sure..use that hatred to destroy them,Use your sense of vengeance to avenge those who perished in their arms..Use your Fear to eliminate them to let other people not go to the same Pain you've been to.."

We've found the source of the gunshot

"Albert?!" The man said.

"Oh!..Admiral Hansel what are you doing here?"

As a closer Inspection to the Man,I noticed the resemblance to the description of "Admiral James".He wears the same depiction,He wears a trench coat an eyepatch at his left eye wears the black shoes,he did not wear jeans but rather black slacks.

"Sir...do you know Admiral James?"

"Yeah he is my friend and the Admiral of Squad 17..Why?"

"He's Dead"

The three of us were silent

"You weren't joking are you.." Admiral Hansel said

"Yeah..he got crushed by a pillar"

He just looked at me and smiled

"Well we gotta find the monster that took your friend."

"Admiral..who is he?"

"Oh he? He is a boy i found..He said he came up here with his "friend" and they got attacked boy ranned panick,found him and helping him...Hhhmmm yeah that's the gist of it"

What a way of explaining things

"Hmmm?"

We've seperated courses with albert and started looking again for the two

"Blood..."

I heard a voice that sound like "blood" or something.I looked around for sources until someone or something came out of the bush

"BLOOD..AAAHHG"

It jumped on me.I kept pushing away her,keeping distance between me and her.

I was struggling and screamed "Help".

I looked at her mouth and remembered what happened to Marian and Allen.

I kept struggling until Admiral Hansel came and cut its head.

"Boy you fine?" "Yes,Apparently".

We kept looking for the whole day until it's near dark.

"We should go now,Monster are mostly nocturnal so we should go and call it a day."

I agreed to him

"Wanna come with me,go to our camp?,It's more safe here than walking to the Caverns."

"Caverns?"

"Well it's what my Men and I call these giant dome."

"Hhmm Okay."

"Well I'm gonna send some of my men to seal the tunnel temporarily".

I came with him to the camp and there's where we spend the night.
