The two of us headed out of the laboratory, but I really didn't have much of a plan. I really just wanted to look around and see what else was in the area, along with the shipping area.
"Can you take me to where the docking area would be?" I asked Misty after I closed the door, and she nodded to me.
"Of course! Follow me, but we will have to walk out to the cliff path," Misty told me and started to head south to a path that leads into a forest that leads more east.
I pulled out Dirty Harry, and he already had the map open for me and zoomed into the location we were traveling. Generally, on the game map, this place would be put off to the side and blocked by a gate, so this was all new for me.
"This is the shortcut, but there is a long road down the side for the delivery truck they use," Misty explained to me as we walked.
I was listening, but I was also looking around, trying to spot at least one. I found it beyond strange that I had not seen more than a single wild Pokémon the entire time I had been here.
<Pokémon know to stay away from here, or they are quickly hunted by Oak. You can ask Gallia to track the Pokémon in the area, but I suggest you be gentle in asking. Oak used her for hunting the area almost clean; I am surprised that you found that Rattata from what she told me.>
I nodded and put away the Breedé-Dex in my breast pocket as I followed behind my Vaporeon girl. It was still hard to believe that she was Misty and that she was now my Pokémon.
"How does it feel? Do you remember everything from before you changed? Mew told me that your personality might change, but I haven't noticed a big difference," I said to Misty as I walked up beside her.
She looked cute in her white and yellow outfit, and it matched well with her blue skin. Even though her face was more pointed than flat, I had no trouble seeing the beauty in it and couldn't wait to get back.
"I feel mostly the same as I was before, but I do feel a lot younger, but not mentally, but in the body. I was not that old, but I feel brand new now. As for my memories, nothing was affected, but that was because of Arceus coming to me. I am not sure how it will be for the other people, but I think that it might just give them their old personalities back, Pre-Fall," Misty said.
I had to agree that it was a reasonable assumption, making the destruction of the person's current identity not really that bad. I had been a bit worried about it, but now this made me feel a bit better.
Regardless, I would have to try it out first, and it really wouldn't matter. Kill or convert, so the convert had to be the best option, and after the evolution, I wanted to make sure I was ready.
I could hear the water now, smell the sea, and feel the wind starting to pick up. Leaves on the trees rustled as we passed around a pile of rocks that had a tree growing up from the middle of them.
As we came around, I started to see the blue that was far below from where we were. I remember the overhead making the cliffs look like nothing.
It made me wonder how we were able to use surf from so high up, but that was all game logic. No one ever thought that they would ever be in this world, so I just needed to relax what I knew and absorb everything as it came without trying to make sense of it.
Misty led me out of the forest, and there was a large rectangular area before the cliff in it, but there was a metal hatch on the ground. It was a rusty bunker lid, but I could tell it was well used, and there was grease at the joints.
"This is how we get down, but people don't use it, just me. I use it to go visit Gyarados often, but he isn't always there, and he has been staying away lately. It will be good to see him, and I am curious to see what he thinks of me now that I am just like him," Misty said as she looked at the hatch lever ponderously.
I looked at her hands and paws over, and it was going to be hard for her to climb down. I didn't really need her to come with me, and I didn't think that anything in the area could harm her.
"Why don't you just wait for me, and next time we will go down the other way. You said there was a truck down there?" I asked.
"Yes! There is a moving truck, and there are keys in the glove box," Misty said to me with a relieved look.
"Good, then head back to the lab, and I will go down to get the truck and talk to Gyarados. I will drop it off, and it will probably be time for supper, so we will have to put off exploring till tomorrow," I told Misty, and she gave me a nod and a smile, but then her face became dark.
"There is one thing that I forgot to tell you about since I am not going down there. A fisherwoman Trainer named Jackie is down there, and she will challenge you, so what out, okay?" Misty told me with a severe look, and I nodded at her.
"Yeah, don't worry. I got this; you just got back to the lab, so I know that you are safe," I said, but then grabbed her and pulled Misty into a kiss that surprised her, but she accepted without hesitation.
