Rebecca's life is completely changed when she is taken to Xilentia: a magic school situated in one of the five realms of the Otherworld. A parallel world to Earth in which mystical creatures and superpowers are commonplace. However, her fate is revealed when the evilest and powerful dragon picks her, such a thing happened only once every thousand years but Pagos never made mistakes and always chooses the person who was evil enough to destroy the whole universe and strong enough to take over humanity. Was that a sign her true nature was villainous? Will she succeed in being the first good ruler of the universe or will she let her evil nature take over to begin massive destruction? As If life wasn’t already hard enough she soon ends up falling in love with the last person she should fall in love with. Abstract quote: "When they stop loving you where does that love goes? Can It be found again?" "No, dear. It can't. It just melts like snow on sidewalks. Leaving nothing but the memory of what once was a stunning picture to praise." Abstract: “So this is it? You will not even let me try to make things right? You just cut me off as if the kiss meant nothing?” She bawled. “I am sorry, Rebecca. There are rules that must be followed and we’re not made to be together. This is the law and how it’s supposed to be. Do you know what could happen if we let our love bloom?” “What could happen?” She took a step forward and with a broken voice and eyes filled of tears she whispered, “the only thing I see happening is US. Finally happy, finally together. This is what I want. You and me.” He sighed, as he took a step towards her as well, reducing the distance between them. His warm hand touched her cold cheek and she gently leaned upon it. “I want that too. More than anything in the entire universe. But if the magic world will know about us, it will cause so much trouble and an inevitable downfall of the school’s reputation. Moreover, the council will haunt me.” “It’s not about that Andreas. It’s about whether you think our love is worth fighting for or not. I’ll let you choose. Because I already know my answer.” [The cover belongs to the respective owner.]

Chapter two

After opening her eyes and calming down, her heartbeat slowed down giving her some peace, she monitored her breathing and finally focused on the surrounding. As she did so the storm and the wind calmed with her.

"Thanks, enchantress." The gnome said as if the reason behind that sudden calm was thanks to her. "You will see your parents soon. I promise." The man continued, his mouth curved.

Before she could say anything nor

Oppose the gnome moved his hands circularly and suddenly, they appeared in a lecture hall.

The place they had teleported to looked like a vast library. With an uncommon peculiarity: the books were floating. Additionally, every book had a different size and color, and the titles were indecipherable.

"Hello, Miss Becca." An old lady appeared in the center of the room followed by two younger boys. Because of their flawless smooth skin and young appearance, Rebecca could easily deduce they couldn't be much older than her.

One of them looked at Rebecca from head to toe. He had red hair, green eyes, and was very tall. The other one was emanating a more charming and mysterious look. He was still tall, but not as tall as the other guy. He had beautiful long curly hair that cascaded gently on his beautiful face. His eyes were of an intense blue, and they seemed to be capable of looking through her as if her skin was as trasparent as a mirror. His body was muscular and athletic. His jaw was sharper than a knife and despite his cold gaze, Rebecca couldn't ignore how easily his appearance took her breath away.

At the same time, she found his staring quite imposing, hence she had a weird difficulty in holding his gaze.

The lady had grey curly hair, small grey eyes, and a huge shining smile.

"Is she even English?" The guy with ginger hair said rolling his eyes, bothered by Rebecca 's quietness.

"I am," Rebecca replied in anticipation looking at them and folding her arms. She cleared her voice, "I don't even know who you are. I just want to go home and sleep, right now." She continued in an annoyed, brusque tone of voice. She wasn't good at being kind, if she had a talent that would act defensive and keep people away in order not to get hurt. Whether that vision was a dream or not, she couldn't trust those people who kidnapped her from her family.

"Nice to meet you, Becca. I'm Margareth." The lady smiled at her, friendly. Her hand went to touch Rebecca 's long dark hair, causing her pajamas to turn into a scholar uniform.

Rose backed off scared, looking at the old woman uneasily scared.

If she could change her clothes, what other worse things could she do?

The blue-eyed guy chuckled at her reaction.

Rebecca 's major concern was about Mark, her boyfriend. She had their anniversary planned perfectly for months, she couldn't oversleep much longer.

"Mark can wait." The guy who had an attractive aura and long hair intervened.

"Is she thinking of her boring boyfriend now?" The ginger guy jabbered, rolling his eyes. "She's insane."

"How many times do I have to remind you that this is not a dream?" The old short man who brought her there whispered to her.

"Okay, so sleepy girl. Let's go. I don't have time to waste." The blue-eyed boy ordered and headed toward the door, making a gesture to follow him.

Rebecca followed Andreas and Margaret reaching the office.

"Welcome to Xilentia," the woman said, smiling once she opened the door widely, revealing her office.

"I'm sorry if your arrival wasn't the best. But I'm sure you will be fine here. You're an Enchantress. I hope you understand that being an Enchantress is an honor. An Enchantress borns every hundred years so you have to be proud of who you are and know that every girl out there wishes they were you, " she spoke with enthusiasm but Rebecca wasn't that excited, on the contrary, she wished to be normal.

"This is what we call the Otherworld, which is composed of six realms. The one where you are right now is called Solaria, then there is Glacier, Marine, Ventus, Grassed, and Ignis. Your mother belonged to Glacier and your father belonged to Ventus. The realms of wind and ice. So your powers are mainly ice and wind." She continued her explanation with a smile on her face while Rebecca was staring confused at the woman, struggling to keep up with such a disconcerting explanation.

"You'll learn in time. As a.." she paused for some seconds as if she couldn't find the perfect word.

"As a freshman, you'll be assigned to Andreas, who is the best professor and one of the most prestigious sorcerers of the last centuries." She continued, then she pointed at Andreas who was staring a few meters apart. He nodded when Rose turned around and her gaze fell on him.

"Centuries?" Rebecca asked interrupting the woman, who gazed at her and giggled.

"Yes, Rebecca . Most people here are immortal so we live for lots of years."

"Oh," Rebecca was still more confused but too sleepy and tired to say anything nor ask for more information.

"However, he will examine your capabilities of controlling your powers. And then, after 1 week, you'll finally be able to attend classes."

After the long speech, Rebecca stood up and walked toward the door, when Margareth cleared her voice, catching her attention.

"Rebecca... I trust you and know you will be so strong, just like your mother. If you trust the process and graduate here, I'm sure you won't just be one of the greatest Enchantresses of Solaria, but you will be THE Enchantress."

"What if I don't want to?" Rebecca questioned in low voice but still hearable.

"You do, you still don't know it yet." the woman answered, revealing a grin.

Rebecca followed the blue-eyed guy who led her in an almost empty room, which probably was a laboratory since the place was equipped with Bunsens, thermometers, friability testers, and more chemical tools of any kind.

Andreas folded his arms and looked at her waiting for her to finish inspecting the room.

"When you use magic for the first time it can be challenging. You probably still don't know how to use your powers so to new students we normally suggest them to use emotions, feelings, the stronger you feel the most powerful you become."

Rebecca was frightened and confused but at the same time curious to know what being an Enchantress meant.

He opened his hand and effortlessly fire flames appeared upon it, the flames were smoothly floating grazing his skin without burning it.

"Wow!" Rebecca whispered staring at the scene astonished, she'd never seen something like that before.

"Everyone has a different power based on genetic and on their parents' skills and powers. Mines are fire and air. Yours are ice and wind, as Margaret said earlier. So you can easily control the wind, create ice, and at the same time combine those elements." Andreas proceeded with his accurate explanation, the flames on his hand faded away so he walked in front of her to show her a scheme of every power and a detailed caption.

"Earth?"

Rebecca asked, squinting to try to read better.

"Earth is a very rare power and it can be achieved when you learn how to use all the powers but just a few of the best sorcerers and sorceress can do that."

"And are you one of those?"

At her question, he raised an eyebrow, looking down at her.

"Rebecca , first lesson, if people want to tell you something they will. It's so rare to achieve that ultimate power that when people succeed they become feared by the whole magic world because Earth power is considered too powerful and at the same time very dangerous. So they tend to keep it secret. But trust me, if I was that powerful I wouldn't be here right now." he scolded her, shaking his head as if he couldn't believe what she dared to ask.

"And where would you be?" Rebecca hissed to ask, she probably didn't learn the lesson that she couldn't ask so many questions to a master.

He remained in silence for a few seconds to think then gestured with his hand, "nevermind, we shall go." He walked toward the door and opened it.
