We made our way down the corridor with only the small glow in the dark bulbs as our light there were many turns we could've taken but we kept our direction straight, not taking any risks. As we reached the end, the light faltered and darkness enveloped us.
"Crap!"
I fumbled on my pockets, searching for my phone but it wasn't there. I was about to call the kid when a flashlight suddenly came on. I looked at the kid questioningly and he smiled sheepishly. "It comes in handy when you live on the streets."
We carried on down the corridor when we suddenly saw a white light seeping through parallel strips above us. I took the flashlight from the boy's hand and looked for something to use for leverage, pointing the flashlight all over the place until the landed on a wooden chair on the corner.
