His fingers, firm but teasing, gripped her waist, pulling her against his body. “Do you know what happens to those who defy me, little pet?” His voice was low, dripping with dark amusement. He leaned down, his lips hovering just above hers, close enough for her to feel his breath but not close enough to touch. “They beg.”Elysia’s pulse quickened, her breath catching as her body betrayed the fear melting into something far more dangerous. Her lips parted, but no words came out. "You're mine, Elysia, I will burn the world for you." She heard him say in a low growl, making her legs tremble more.

Journey To Luminae

A groan escaped Sevastian's lips as he rolled onto his back. For a few days now, he had struggled with restless sleep, only managing a few hours before waking up again. Most nights, he'd finally fall asleep in the early hours of the morning, getting no more than four or five hours in total.

The rain had eased into a drizzle. It was just past seven, and he had a long day ahead. Rohan had informed him that they would be traveling to Luminae today. It was a three-day journey from Valeria, and Sevastian could not feel less enthusiastic.

Traveling was one thing he did not like, well, Sevastian liked only a few things and traveling was not one of them. Last night, he arranged his box and prepared for the day.

Climbing out of his bed, he walked to the window and pulled the black curtain open allowing the warm sunlight from outside peek into the room. A bath was already prepared for him in the bathroom waiting for his arrival.
