Three days had passed without any significant developments. Azrael spent the time meticulously reviewing palace documents in search of any mention of Lucan but found nothing to connect him to the previous King.
The bailiff also investigated the noblemen present at the palace during that period. While some were discovered to have mistresses and illegitimate children, there was no evidence pointing to Lucan as one of them.
Azrael made his way out of the office, heading to the left wing on the third floor, where his father's room was located. Since his father's death, Azrael had seen no reason to visit the room. Their relationship had been far from ideal, neither close nor cordial, they were more like strangers than family.
