Relenting, William stepped aside, allowing her to approach the grieving crowd. He watched her provide solace to a woman who was crying and hugging her daughter. Her eldest daughter was still in the forest.
Suri could only help with words, but that was better than just sitting in the corner, staring at them without doing anything, she thought. Yet, beneath her composed exterior, she couldn't help but steal glances toward the forest, praying fervently for the safe return of her siblings.
