How To Suppress The Heat

After the laughter stopped, the room became very quiet. Neither Edna nor Luca knew what to do.

"Sorry, My Lord… May I wrap the bandage?" asked Edna in a very low voice.

Maximillian only threw his head to the side.

From that simple gesture, Edna could tell that her master had given her permission to bandage the wound on his stomach. She stretched the bandage, placed the end of it on his side, and covered it around his wound.

To wrap the bandage around her master's body, she had to get closer. The girl held her breath, so it wouldn't make him uncomfortable.

When Edna felt her heart pounding hard, she tried to divert her thoughts. She could also feel her master's extremely hot body with such a close distance. It was much hotter than normal body temperature.

She wanted to ask whether her master had a fever or not, but getting the man's permission to treat his wound was more than Edna could ask for. She didn't want to push her luck any further.
