Edna was about to speak again, but Maxieno put his finger to his lips, telling the girl to be quiet for a moment. They stood in front of a stacked temple with many small steps. Maxieno invited Edna to go up there.
Edna, who had always thought that her body was fit enough, tested it by climbing those steps. She went up and down the ladder every day and roamed everywhere to do some work at the castle, yet she was unable to climb up to the top of the steps.
"You are so weak. You probably spend too much of your energy running your mouth."
Maxieno's comment made Edna frown and she quickly apologized.
The man suddenly took two steps down and then lifted Edna with both hands.
"Sir! What are you doing!? I can climb alone!"
"Shhh! You're too noisy. Save your energy instead of shouting incoherently like that."
