CHAPTER 54: ARRIVAL

"Not to cut into your victorious mood and all… but you do know that I'm not part of your rescue the princess squad… right?" Houryu suddenly said.

Immediately he said that an awkward silence ensued the area and blushes appeared on the face of the "rescue squad."

"Well… since there's no time to waste time…Let's go!" Urahara shouted as he opened the senkaimon.

"OH!" the rescue squad jumped into the senkaimon with Houryu following closely behind.

As they entered the senkaimon and came out the other side… in the dangai, everyone except Yoruichi zoned out and began to look around the dangai… marveling it's wonders.

Even Houryu, as he had never actually been in the dangai.

"Come on! Don't zone out! Hurry and run! The Kouryu will close in!" Yoruichi shouted at them as she began charging forward.

'Run…? Tch, now I actually want to stay behind.' Houryu thought as his eyes narrowed slightly while looking at the slow current of whatever its name was called.

'Should I try fighting the Janitor thing…?' Houryu thought again until Yoruichi shouted again, "Come on, Let's go!"

'Tch… ' he thought as he ran towards her.

"Spoilsport." He said as he ran alongside her.

Yoruichi looked at him weirdly after hearing that but kept running. They kept running in the lead with the others just behind them.

'These idiots are actually talking and looking around like they're on an exploration trip in disneyland.' Houryu thought as he turned his head slightly to look behind him.

"If you have time to look back, why not just run faster. If you get caught by the kouryuu , it's all over!" Yoruichi said again as she also turned slightly to look behind her to look at the "rescue squad" running behind.

"WUAHH!!" Ishida shouted as his cloak got caught by the current behind them.

"Idiot!" It's because you're wearing that weird outfit!" Ichigo shouted as he grabbed the hilt of his zanpakutou to try to do something.

"Hold on! Don't use your zanpakutou… kouryuu will trap souls! If you use your zanpakutou(soul cutter sword), you will not be able to escape!" Yoruichi shouted to stop him as soon as she saw what he was trying to do.

"THEN… Then what should I do…" Ichigo asked back.

Suddenly a shadow swept past him and appeared behind Ishida.

It was Houryu who moved and was now swinging his sword downwards towards Ishida.

*SHWING*

Ishida closed his eyes as the sword made contact.

"What are you closing your eyes for… kid." Houryu said as he just cut the cape off Ishida's back. Immediately after he grabbed Ishida by his shirt and threw him towards Chad who was close by.

Chad grabbed Ishida midair and quickly turned on his heels and began running, Houryu following closely behind.

"Let's go." He called out as he ran forward.

"Put… Put me down Chad! I can run by myself! Put me…" Ishida began to shout while squirming before suddenly stiffening,

"W-wait guys look… seems like… something is coming…!" Ishida said in a hurried tone, prompting the others to look back again and see the monstrosity just right behind them and moving closer.

"What… What is that!" Ishida shouted as he looked over from atop Chad's shoulder.

"That's SEIMICHIO! The "JANITOR" that comes out every 7 days… 'Why of all days today!?'" Yoruichi informed them and thought,

"Anyway let's just escape… that thing is really fast!"

"Hurry we're almost at the exit!" She shouted again, but the seimichio was already too close.

Houryu was just about to go "fuck it" and turn to face the monster when Orihime suddenly turned around,

"HIMUSAKU UMEIGEN… RIRII… SANTENYUITATE… I SUMMON THEE!" She called out as she stretched her hands toward the seimichio creating a triangular barrier that stopped it for a second.

Houryu suddenly felt a resonance while looking at Orihime displaying her powers to slow down the seimichio but ignored it as he grabbed her by the waist and jumped out of the dangai.

They landed on a platform created by Orihime to cushion their fall. Houryu landed on his feet and immediately dropped Orihime.

"You alright? Everyone." Orihime asked,

"WHA! Kurosaki's landing is so artistic!" she said excitedly again.

"You talk too much." Ichigo said as he righted his "artistic landing" and sat up.

Just like in canon, Ishida brought out a backup cape and Yoruichi went on a scolding spree at Orihime. As all this was happening Houryu was on the side petting Sylvia, who was now awake, especially after their episode of "temple run.

Finally the smoke that rose up from their rough landing cleared and they could now see where they were.

Yoruichi explained to them that they were in rukongai this is where normal souls live while the soul reapers live at seiretei and she showed the direction towards seiretei, especially as it was very close by.

Ichigo(like the idiot he is) began to run directly towards seiretei without any sort of plan formed, any thoughts about what would happen, or any information about the area as a whole other than it was where soul reapers lived and he could find Rukia there.

Houryu thought all this as he watched them without moving a single step from where he landed and even sat down to watch the show, still petting Sylvia.

"ID… IDIOT! YOU CAN'T JUST GO NEAR THERE! YOU'LL DIE!!!" Yoruichi shouted after Ichigo but he was already too far gone as suddenly walls began to drop from the sky in order until it surrounded the seiretei.

'It's honestly quite strange to place your walls in the sky, instead of actually around what you're trying to protect… but more dramatism, I guess.' Houryu thought as he took out popcorn from his earring and stuffed himself with a mouthful of it, not forgetting to give some to Sylvia who also chewed on some as well as they watched the show. (What? It was not time for him to act yet… he did take the trouble to come here less loudly after all.)

Sorry guys the chapter would be ending here today as I don't have enough time to write a few hundred more words… but from next chapter onward there will be a lot of action scenes, time messing things and …. cliff hangers.
