Happily Ever After!!

6 Years Later

Liu Rushi stood in the kitchen preparing the food along with few of her servants. She was instructing the cook to put all the vegetables in the pot after the water was boiled and what not to add and what to add...

The cook was attentively listening to her instructions and was doing as told.

After instructing him, Liu Rushi decided to prepare few sandwiches especially for her two little kids who were now snoring loudly.

Yes... Liu Rushi had two children named Lei Xing Se and Lei Xueluo. While Lei Xing Se was a handsome 6 year old boy who was her first child, Lei Xueluo was a cute 4 year old girl who was her second child.

As the cook finished putting all the ingredients in the pot, he turned back to look at the Madam of the house to notify that he was done... when he saw the Master of the house standing at the kitchen entrance.

He immediately bowed and the Master of the house signaled him to leave. The cook along with the other servants proceeded to leave when Liu Rushi stopped them. "Where are you all going?"

"We... we are done, Madam." The cook hesitatingly took a glance at the person standing at the entrance and his cold glare scared him. Although the cook just looked at Lei Qingshan for a second... Liu Rushi understood that there was someone standing behind.

"Alright! You can go. I'll do the rest! Thank you, Mr. Xiao!" Liu Rushi gave a smile and allowed them to go.

She continued preparing. She heard some footsteps approaching her. She knew who it was and her lips instantly turned wide into a bashful smile.

Lei Qingshan who woke up on the sound of his alarm saw his two children sleeping and the space beside him empty. Like a puppy searching for it's owner, he searched for her inside the room.

He heard a few voices coming from the kitchen downstairs and he immediately dashed down to see Liu Rushi. No matter how many years it had been, he just couldn't stop himself from seeing her face before starting his morning routine.

When he saw the servants inside the kitchen, he signaled them to leave and they left.

Joyfully, he came behind her and encircled his arms around her shoulders. Hiding his face in the crook of her neck, he whispered "Good Morning, Honey!"

It was a usual thing for Liu Rushi to be greeted by her husband in such a way. She would always smile and greet him back. His hug, his whisper, everything was just really something which used to make her feel good.

"What are you doing?" Lei Qingshan took the spoon from her hand and started to mix all the ingredients which she had added in the bowl while standing behind her. It was very easy to do so because he used to tower over her.

"Sandwiches for the two."

"Only them? Not me?" Lei Qingshan stopped what he was doing and kept the spoon back in the bowl. He spun her around and furrowed his brows.

Liu Rushi giggled and tapped on the space in between his eyebrows to remove the furrowed lines. "Of course! It is for everyone to eat. I have prepared some extra so, that you can take it for your lunch too."

"Mhmm!" Lei Qingshan hummed a reply and kissed on the corner of her lip. "I haven't brushed my teeth yet... I'll kiss them when I'm rid of this dirty smell!" He directed it to her lips and let go of Liu Rushi.

Meanwhile, Liu Rushi didn't like what he told. Even if he was having a dirty breath... It didn't matter. All that matters was their trust and love. She caught his hand and pulled him closer by his shirt.

"Idiot!" She muttered and kissed his lips. Lei Qingshan kissed her back and the couple smooched each other until they were interrupted by a cry.

Liu Rushi broke away from the kiss and stared at Lei Qingshan "It's Xueluo. I'll go and have a look."

Lei Qingshan nodded and turned back to prepare the sandwiches. Him preparing the sandwiches can go as a surprise for his young children.

As he thought about them, a smile covered his face and he happily filled the bread with the filling which Liu Rushi had prepared.

Liu Rushi rushed to her room and saw her daughter and son both awake. The good thing of this two was that they always used to care for each other despite of being so small.

As she saw Xing Se trying to hush his sister from crying, Liu Rushi warmed up. She walked to her children and calmed them both. "You don't need to cry now! Mommy is here." Xing Se muttered to his younger sister and lightly ruffled her short black silky hair.

Seeing their mother in front of them, both, Xing Se and Xuelou hugged her and Liu Rushi hugged them back.

After neatly dressing the young sibling pair in matching clothes, Liu Rushi brought them down to the living room. As she walked closer to the dining table along with her kids, she saw the dishes neatly arranged on the dining table.

She smiled and made her kids sit on the chair opposite to one another. It was because Xuelou always sat with her father while Xing Se always sat with his mother.

After neatly placing the sandwiches in the plate, Lei Qingshan came out of the kitchen and placed it on the table.

"Who wanna eat sandwiches?" He asked and Xing Se confidently lifted his hand upwards. Seeing her brother stretching his hand, Xuelou also stretched her hand upwards.

Lei Qingshan placed the sandwich plate on the table and asserted "Eat as much as you like... Daddy prepared more."

As the kids saw the sandwiches, they instantly cheered up and picked one to eat.

Liu Rushi smiled and took a look at her husband. Lei Qingshan winked at her and mouthed the words 'TONIGHT IN THE KITCHEN'

Liu Rushi instantly turned red and looked back at her children. She smiled as she saw them eating the sandwiches being excited. This was what she had always wanted and this was what she had got!! She had always wanted a happy family and she got one!

And the family of four lived happily ever after!!
