Chapter 199: Erina is Tricked into Going to the Love Hotel

After changing his shoes, Sui found a cozy-looking restaurant and decided to have dinner.

"How's the taste?"

He asked curiously.

"It's awful," Erina replied bluntly. "The salt-crusted salmon tastes terrible, way too salty. And the red wine steak? Completely lacking in flavor."

Erina, slipping back into her role as Totsuki's God Tongue, set down her utensils with an icy expression. "This kind of cooking would get someone expelled from Totsuki on the spot."

The restaurant fell into a sudden hush. Waiters and diners alike stared at her in stunned silence.

Realizing her outburst, Erina's cheeks flushed red. She quickly remembered that this wasn't a food critique session—she was on a date with Sui. Such harsh words were definitely not suitable for the occasion.

Sui couldn't help but feel exasperated. 'Does she really not know how to go on a date?' he thought, shaking his head.

After paying the bill, they decided to watch a movie. Erina chose a romance film.

The movie was poorly made, with a laughable plot that nearly put Sui to sleep. Halfway through, most of the audience had already left the theater. But Erina, unfamiliar with films, was completely engrossed. By the time the hero and heroine met their tragic fate, she was moved to tears.

"Their love was so touching," she said as they left the cinema, eyes still glistening.

Sui could only respond with a silent sigh. "Erina… is this the first time you've watched a movie in a theater?"

She blinked in surprise. "Huh? Yeah. Things are always so busy at school."

"And…?" Sui pressed.

"What? Is something wrong with that?" she asked, tilting her head.

"Nothing," he murmured, shaking his head. But deep inside, he felt a pang of sympathy for the tsundere girl's strict lifestyle. "Next time, let's watch another together."

Erina's eyes lit up. "Really?"

Sui smiled and nodded. "So, what should we do next?"

"I remember from the comics—after dinner and a movie, they usually go shopping."

Sui could only sigh again. 'Does she really only know how to follow manga scenarios?'

"Anything else you want to try?" he asked, sensing her confusion.

"Um... what else can we do?" she asked, genuinely puzzled.

"How about the amusement park?" Sui suggested.

"The amusement park?" she echoed, her curiosity piqued.

Soon, they arrived at the park. Erina glanced around, a little unsure. "Isn't this just for kids?"

Despite her words, her gaze lingered on the Ferris wheel and roller coaster, eyes filled with an unmistakable longing.

"Erina, you've never been to an amusement park, have you?" Sui asked with a knowing smile.

"I don't go to these… childish places," she muttered, her face reddening as she stubbornly kept up her façade.

"Oh? So you're not scared then?" Sui teased, eyeing her with suspicion.

"Scared? Of course not! It's just a bunch of kids' rides," she scoffed.

Twenty minutes later, on the Ferris wheel, Erina's pale face was buried in Sui's chest. Trembling, she pleaded in a small, tearful voice, "Sui, let's get off…"

Sui sighed, speechless. The once haughty girl now clung to him in terror, her body shaking uncontrollably.

When they finally got back on solid ground, Erina's legs wobbled, and she practically collapsed into Sui's arms, tears brimming in her eyes. "I am never riding a Ferris wheel again," she sniffled.

Sui silently handed her a hot drink to calm her nerves. After a few sips, her color slowly returned.

"If you're too shaken up, we can find something else to do," Sui suggested kindly.

Erina's face flushed again, her gaze downcast. "I… want to try the haunted house."

Sui blinked. 'Wasn't she just crying a moment ago?'

"You sure you want to do that?" he asked incredulously. "You'll just end up crying again."

"No! I want to go!" Erina shot back, determined.

And so, Sui bought two tickets for the haunted house.

"Just so you know, no crying this time," he warned her.

"Mm," Erina nodded, though her nervousness was obvious.

Once inside, Sui quickly noticed Erina trembling beside him. A poorly costumed "ghost" jumped out, its makeup more laughable than frightening.

'Seriously? This could only scare kids,' Sui thought.

But Erina's grip on his hand tightened, her face pale with fear. She was clearly struggling to keep it together.

Throughout the haunted house, Sui found the "monsters" more ridiculous than scary, but Erina remained on edge, sweating and teary-eyed the entire time. When they finally exited, she pressed herself against Sui, her eyes red from crying. "I'm never going in there again," she declared tearfully.

Sui could only sigh, exasperated yet again.

As they left the amusement park, Erina took a deep breath, still somewhat shaken but with a glimmer of excitement. "Let's come again sometime!"

Sui glanced at her sideways. 'Wasn't she just saying she'd never come back?'

"So… what's next?" Erina asked, eager for more, despite the earlier scares.

With a sly smile, Sui responded, "I have an idea. I'll take you to a place where couples usually go."

"Eh? Where's that?" Erina asked, tilting her head innocently.

Sui's smile widened as he led her to a nearby love hotel.

Erina's cheeks flushed deep red. She shot him a cold look, immediately understanding his intent.
