The Deal

Mrs Langstone looked at her son, a bit shocked. She never thought that convincing him to marry his secretary would be this easy.

"Really?" She asked again to confirm her doubts.

Caleb snorted coldly.

"Mom, are you crazy? Do you really think of me as a puppet? Why should I agree to marry her just because you asked me to do so? Huh, Mom. It's IMPOSSIBLE."

Mrs Langstone sighed heavily. She knew that it wouldn't be an easy task. She had no choice but to directly force him.

"You must marry her! Caleb, really!? You can sleep with her but you can't marry her? How great you are." She snapped unhappily.

Caleb was taken aback by her sudden roar.

"Wha-what did you say?" He asked in disbelief. "I slept with whom?"

Mrs Langstone slowly answered him, emphasizing her every word.

"You. Slept. With. Your. Secretary."

"No, impossible." Caleb blurted out. "I never slept with my employees."

Although he said that, he also had doubts when he thought of the similarities between Macie and that blue lips girl.

He actually couldn't believe that his well-behaved secretary during the daytime could also be a slutty whore at night. What a two-faced bitch!

"Then look at this video." Mrs Langstone uttered, passing her tab to him.

It was a video of the two of them kissing passionately in that hotel room. Caleb felt disgusted seeing that his secretary could do something so lame and pathetic just to sleep with him.

"Is she the one who trapped me?" He asked with burning eyes.

"No wonder when I asked for the room number that man deliberately gave me the wrong number. 666 and 999! So confusing!... I couldn't understand it because I was a little drunk. Now I think of it, Macie must be the one who bribed him to do that. What a brave plan." He said in one go.

"But why should I marry her? I have slept with many women. Then I have to marry them too and build up my own harem." Caleb's lips curved into a playful smile as he said.

"But the thing is, I don't like to sleep with the same woman twice." He added.

Mrs Langstone gave him a side glance.

"I never knew that my sons would become playboys because of me. Children indeed take their parents' steps. Now I regret it." She stated with a low sigh.

Caleb wasn't happy when he heard that.

"What's the point of having a dick when I can't use it to fuck them? If I chose only one, what about others? Won't they feel bad about not having a chance to sleep with a handsome man like me who has the largest one in this entire town?"

Mrs Langstone: "..."

She really didn't know what to say to her narcissistic son.

"...You can sleep with as many women as you want. But you should have been more attentive. Because of your carelessness, Xie recorded this video and now threatening me saying that Xie will upload this video on the internet to stain our company's reputation. Think about it."

She grabbed a glass of water and drank a sip to wet her dry throat.

"Think about the headlines like 'The CEO of Langstone company sleeps with his secretary', 'The famous CEO is actually a playboy who sleeps with any woman including his employees.' The only solution to this problem is to make her your wife. So no one can blame you for sleeping with her."

Caleb's eyes turned cold and his entire persona turned gloomy when he heard that. It was completely different from a moment ago like he changed into a whole new person who was distant, cold and unapproachable.

It was so unfair. He didn't even sleep with that woman... that girl. He didn't properly enter inside her. In short, she was still a virgin. But here he was, being forced to marry her just because of a stupid video!

After talking for hours till the afternoon arrived, they finally made some decisions.

"Okay, Mom. I'll do as you say." Caleb stated, putting an end to the discussion.

Half an hour later Mrs Langstone's departure, the meeting was held in the gigantic conference room on the first floor. Macie stood by her boss's side and helped him with documents while carefully examing some details that the two teams provided respectively.

"I think this plan is good for the next building in Synara." The opposite team claimed their opinion.

Langstone Cooperation and Xiolan company were business partners in the brand new project of a building that would use for apartments in the near future.

That day, they gathered to discuss about the plan they would use to construct the building as both of the companies were construction enterprises.

Langstone Corporation dealt with so many other stuff apart from construction like the Entertainment field, Foods, Tourism and many more while Xiolan company was a pure construction company. They needed funds from Langstone Corporation to complete the project successfully.

Macie raised her hand a bit, seeking permission to bring up her opinion towards the plan.

"I think it won't work because you guys have completely ignored the eco-friendly concept."

"What should we do then?" The CEO of Xiolan company asked a little sarcastically while crossing his arms over his chest.

"How about using rooftops to plant?" Macie turned to face her boss with anticipation. "Boss, What do you think?"

She gulped like a scaredy cat when she felt her boss's murderous gaze. Literally, he was throwing daggers at her! If looks could kill, she had died so long ago.

'Oops, he looks scary. What did I do wrong to make him furious?' She wondered, frustrated.

Caleb snapped out of his daze and awkwardly cleared his throat.

"It's stupid." He nonchalantly blurted out.

Macie: "..."

'What the fuck!'

"Did you hear that? You're stupid." The other CEO mouthed to Macie while giving her a mocking grin.

Macie clenched her fists in anger.

'Okay, I won't talk anymore. Do whatever you want to. It's not that I care about it!'

She suddenly wanted to resign so badly. She secretly sighed, disappointed. If it were not for her father's request, she won't even think about staying at that company even for another second.

After the meeting was over at 5 p.m., Macie was so exhausted that she wanted to go home and jump onto her comfy bed and take a good nap. It was truly a tiresome day for her.

In the morning, she was surprised to find out that she had one night stand with a stranger and lost her virginity to him.

She couldn't even remember that psychopath's face for fuck's sake!

In the evening, she was suffering at the meeting. Unfortunate was the perfect word to describe that day of her life. But unbeknownst to herself, her unluckiness didn't end like that, not yet.

"Macie, the boss is calling for you." Reeta's unhappy voice made Macie come to earth.

She slightly nodded her head before going towards the CEO's office.

"Don't overthink. It must be for a good scolding for giving some lame opinions during the meeting. You're such a shame to our company! Who knows he's gonna fire you this time FOR GOOD." She babbled.

Macie ignored her and knocked on the door.

Reeta glared at her, her eyes burning in fury. 'How could that slut ignore me?'

"Come in." Caleb's magnetic voice could be heard from the inside.

Macie pushed open the door and closed it behind her before walking towards his marble table and standing in front of him. They were looking at each other face to face, appearing like a cat and a dog who were ready for a huge fight.

Caleb eventually averted his gaze from Macie's face, breaking their long lasted eye contact.

He threw a document at her. She blinked her eyes confusingly before carefully flipping through it.

"What is this?" Her voice filled with uncertainty.

"A deal." His cold voice rang through the office room.

"A deal?" She repeated. "What for?"

"It's our marriage deal which will last until you give birth to my child within a year."

"Huh?" She widened her eyes in disbelief.

'What kind of bullshit is that?'

"Do you think we'll be able to have a kid within a year?" 'Aren't you a psycho?'

The man's lips curved into a sly smile.

He winked at her saying, "Don't worry. I'll work hard every day."

Macie: "..."

The dumbfounded girl looked at her boss in disbelief. She didn't know how to speak. Yep, she forgot how to speak as she opened and closed her mouth like a fish that threw to the ground out of the ocean.

When she finally regained her senses, she exploded.

"Whoa, whoa, what the fuck is going on? Why should I marry you out of all the other men?"
