“Howard Sterling…” Jason began.
“Ahem,” burst from Marjorie’s throat.
Jason stopped, and looked over. “Is there something else?”
“Nor is a proposal something you do when showing your ass,” Marjorie said, a big smile on her face.
“Of course,” Jason said, reaching behind him and starting to retie his hospital gown. “Gene, could you lend a hand? It’s a little challenging with this ring box in one hand, and it’s hard to reach back there.”
A few seconds later, Gene tapped him on the back, and said, “I think we’re good now.”
“Anything else?” Jason asked, looking Marjorie directly in the eye.
“Oh, no. Like Gene said, I think we’re good,” Marjorie replied, her smile big and bright
“Great,” Jason said, and then took a deep breath and looked up at Howard. “Howard Sterling,”
“Yes,” Howard said.
