A few minutes later, the first cleaner arrived.
“Are you hungry?” Howard asked.
“Starved. Oh, my God, Mr. Sterling. I’ve missed you!”

Jason had planned on being on time for the meeting, but when he ran by the office, Lorena was just hanging up the phone and looked like she had been waiting for him.
“I thought I’d see if before the meeting I could try to save your family life,” Lorena said. “Since you’re too stupid to do it for yourself.”
“What does that mean?”
“It means I just cancelled Howard’s appointment for this afternoon. When we see him, we’re going to tell him that they cancelled and asked us not to call again,” Lorena said.
“I don’t know if he’ll believe that,” Jason said.
“He will,” Lorena assured him. “And the reason he will is because you’re going to convince him. The same way that you convinced him that your business is failing, that you have to live with him, that you sold your Hummer. You’re going to be that convincing when you explain this to him.”
