After experiencing countless trials, Yi Lin wouldn't normally be disturbed by any grotesque or eerie scenery that appeared before him, be it distorted monsters, writhing tentacles, or even if, on the other side of the wall, a series of ghastly pale smiles emerged.
The strangest scenery, is the absence of scenery.
On the other side of the wall, what appeared in front of Yi Lin, was an endless expanse of darkness.
This was not simply darkness like that of "nightfall."
It couldn't even be described by a "color."
The darkness before his eyes was pure, twisted, entwined, squirming, as if the concept of "darkness" itself had been solidified into the utmost black, close enough to touch.
Yi Lin had the illusion that he only needed to reach out beyond the wall, and even just by an inch, he could touch the very essence known as "darkness."
