Chapter 50: Epilogue
One day later, Iris tells me what she did that ended the life of the head Council member. Seeing me hurt, close to death, she accessed something deeper inside her, something she never knew she had, and brought the nature around her to life. It took her time to process it, realize it, that she’s stronger than she thinks, and the parts of her that are human doesn’t limit her.
Two days later, my shoulder heals. My parents heal it themselves, but it takes a couple sessions of healing for the wound to close. The lance had properties that made healing who they wounded more difficult, require more time. Iris doesn’t have to worry anymore.
After four days, we return the hideout to what it used to be before the war. Open without tents scattered around. Weapons discarded, bringing back its peaceful atmosphere and energy. Iris announces once the hideout is cleared and in its original state that Mystics will be able to come and go as they please, use the hideout as a sanctuary.
