Chapter 4 The Yates Family Witch

Claudia called Chad.

The phone rang twice and was connected.

"Hi. Is this Mr. Boris?"

"This is Claudia Loewy!"

"May I ask if our Lain Group did anything wrong to offend your company?"

"Why did you suddenly cut off all business cooperation?"

Claudia asked.

Chad didn't say a word and sneered after listening to Claudia's words.

"Don't you know?"

Chad suppressed his anger. "You're the instigator of everything but now pretend to be innocent!" thought he.

"I cooperated with Lain Group for someone's sake. I have to give him an explanation!"

"Since he was out of the business!"

"Then what's special about your Lain Group?"

"Do you think Optimus Group needs a small company like yours?"

Claudia bit her lip, with her hand holding the phone, trembling.

"We have a contract. I can sue you if you don't fulfill it!"

Chad sneered, "Whatever!"

"It's not uncommon for a lawsuit to go on for three to five years. Our Optimus Group can form a lawyers team to take the game!"

"I just wondered if your Lain Group can last for three to five years!"

"That's it. Ms. Loewy!"

"Don't call me later!"

"I'm busy and have no time to answer!"

Chad hung up the phone. There were tears in Claudia's eyes when she heard the busy signals.

Claudia sat on the chair dejectedly.

The mobile phone on the table rang suddenly.

Claudia took a look. It was her best friend Nona Patron.

"Hello. Nona!"

Nona sounded cheerful, "I heard you are divorced!"

"We must congratulate it!"

"Would you like to come out tonight and have fun?"

Claudia sighed, "I'll pass. I'm not in the mood. Let's try another day."

Nona sighed, "My Ms. Loewy. What's wrong with you?"

"Aren't you happy about being divorced!"

"Could it be that you fell in love with that trash, Phil?"

Nona joked.

Claudia smiled wryly, "How is it possible? There is a problem with the company. Optimus Group has cut off our follow-up funds. If this continues, the capital chain will be broken. I'm afraid it will go bankrupt."

Nona laughed, "Not a big deal!"

"Let me tell you. It's a high-specification banquet tonight. All the rich men of River City will be there. Since you are divorced, you can get to know someone and let him give you a sum of money. Isn't the problem solved?"

Nona nodded, "Okay. See you at the Peony Hall of Purple Golden Mansion at eight o'clock tonight."

After Nona finished speaking, she hung up the phone.

Claudia looked at her haggard look in the mirror.

She needed to go home and put on makeup.

Phil was smoking one cigarette after another. The ashtray was already full of cigarette butts. He might not have smoked as many cigarettes as he did today in the past three years.

Phil turned the chair to the side of the window. The sun shone through the glass on his face, making him warm. Phil closed his eyes. The phone in his pocket vibrated.

He subconsciously took his phone and glanced at the message.

"Bastard. I have already arrived in River City. See you at the Peony Hall of Purple Golden Mansion at eight o'clock tonight!"

Phil frowned slightly, thought for a while, and replied with a word.

"No."

Not long after, the phone vibrated again. He received another message.

"Okay. Then explain to Dad about your marrying into the Loewy family!"

Phil hated Ina Yates so much!

There were many members of the Yates family besides Phil.

Although he was the eldest son and grandson, he had an elder sister.

She was Ina Yates, the Yates family witch!

"How did this devil find out about my marriage to the Loewy family?"

"Walter allowed her to come to River City alone," thought Phil.

Phil quickly called Chad.

Chad answered the phone.

"Mr. Yates!"

Phil took a deep breath, "Get the car and go to Purple Golden Mansion!"

"Yes."

Chad nodded.

Phil stood up from the chair.

"Ina, I'm ready to leave!"

"You must not mess around!"

It was eight o'clock in the evening.

At the Purple Golden Mansion.

Claudia's best friend Nona pushed her into Purple Golden Mansion, "Let's go. I'm telling you. All the people who will come here today are big shots."

"If you hook up with anyone, your company will be saved!"

"You must behave well!"

Claudia nodded, "I see!"

However, for some reason, Claudia always felt she was a little absent-minded.

Walking all the way and lowering her head, Claudia didn't see the man walking toward her. She bumped into his arms directly.

The man smiled at Claudia, "It's okay!"

Nona snatched the business card.

"Claudia!"

Nona looked at the business card and couldn't put it down.

Claudia was less excited than Nona. She didn't know his. But Ross's gentle appearance in a suit and leather shoes did leave a good impression on her.

After all, men like Phil, who refused to do better, were only a few.

However, Claudia didn't know a Rolls-Royce was parked beside the road outside the Purple Golden Mansion at the same time.

The driver got out of the car and opened the rear door.

"Mr. Yates. The Purple Golden Mansion is here."
