Chapter 8

For a second, all of the top adventures from Loki's familia were dumbfounded by what Rose just told them, and to be fair, who would be? I don't look or emanate a strong aura like others' adventures and it's true that other than Freya's familia, there weren't too many adventurers strong enough to fight the might of the Loki's familia.

Give me a break, I just wanted a simple dinner date with a cute red-haired beastwoman, but that simple dinner becomes a failure after I scared Freya … sometimes I want to believe what Deadpool said to me: Life is like a book, a sad story and don't forget there's always an Author up there fucking with you, at least until you become me and fuck him.

Looking at the Loki's familia, I could see that they were ready to fight in case I was someone that doesn't like idiots like that pup. On the other hand, I saw Rose's face twitching from time to time, and the reason for that is probably my anger against young masters. Well time to save the day, again.

I walked towards the adventurers and as soon as I was four meters away from them, I could sense them reading their weapons, so like any other diplomat that respects himself, I stopped and decided to talk from a safe distance.

"Look, I know that we start with the left, but can we just forget about this and go on our way? At least for tonight. I'm new in the city and I would appreciate it if we could postpone this discussion for tomorrow."

"Let me understand you kid, you want us to wait for a day? After you have beat Bete?"

"Basically yeah, but if you insist I can continue beating all of you, even though I don't like hitting women that aren't after my head and I promise you, you won't be able to move a finger if I really get serious."

As a short demonstration of my abilities, I let my aura hit them and as soon as my hunger for a good fight hit them, I could instantly see the effects: The younger elf fainted while the rest of them were barely keeping themselves awake. Thankfully for them, I wasn't a pity person, at least not against the friends of an idiot so immediately after I saw the younger elf fainting I stopped realizing my aura and at the same time, I appeared right next to the falling elf, catching her before the poor girl could hit the cold and rough ground.

"As I said, I don't want to fight you guys, but if you insist, I'm willing to get a few seconds of entertainment. Also, tell your goddess that I may visit her if she is free of course."

Saying my line, I took the younger elf towards the dwarf and handed her to him and after that, I took Rose's hand and left with her.

After walking away from the restaurant, I stopped and turned towards Rose to express my apology for destroying this fine dinner.

"Sorry for what happened back there. I know that my words may not be too helpful, but I hope that we could at least remain friends and not just strictly guild business."

She decided to think about her response for two awkward minutes before she opened her mouth.

"Yoshida-san, I'm used to adventurers fighting amongst them, but it's a first even for me to see a god trashing an adventurer just because the said adventurer attitude was slightly over the normal, also you don't need to worry about our friendship. If I didn't want to know the mysterious god, I wouldn't even accept your dinner invitation. See you tomorrow, Yoshida-san and I hope that you won't start another fight tonight, for both of our sakes."

Rose said her words and as soon as she finished her sentence, she turned away and starts walking while waving at me, what a cute little wolf-girl.

Thank me, she's not angry, well at least I managed to get her interested. Now let's see where I should build my home, preferably would be close to the dungeon, but at the same time, that will be a place where tons of people would walk daily making it quite a target for some less righteous families.

I could buy that rundown church that I saw and to be honest, it could be an excellent idea, seeing that huge backyard, I believe I could build another building there and maybe even go underground for more expansions in the future, my only problem would be the price of that place.

Thankfully for me, Lady Luck was on my side and after another three hours of talking and signing the necessary documents at the guild, I become the owner of that property for just 67 thousand valis and if that wasn't a cheap price for such a huge piece of land, I would tattoo on my back the words fool.

By the time I arrived at my new home, the sun had already started rising, illuminating the once barren streets of the city of dreams and adventures. Making my way towards the rundown church, I was surprised to see a white-haired girl leaving the church and I could see that she was also surprised to see someone walking towards the church.

"Good morning, Miss. Can I know what are you doing in my place? Not that I mind a cute girl living here, but as you can see, this place ain't in its best condition and it's in some dire needs for quite a lot of reparations."

"Ano, what do you mean when you said that this place is yours?"
