The Sleeping Gods A.K.A "The Seven Gods" were awakened to be used as weapons in the third world war. But the catastrophic destruction caused by these godly monsters brought the war to its end with no winners. Many years have been passed. The entire world is now being ruled as a single nation mixed with people of different races, colors, and cultures. This nation has Seven Divisions called "Gates". As per the constitution, they come under the control of the nation, but in reality, they are ruled by the "Seven Gods", who are living their life as mafia leaders, mercenaries, and contract killers with their own triad and underlings. But there is ONE among the SEVEN with no hunger for power, no gang, no underlings but a single wooden katana that could take on at least hundreds of men and is living as a silent protector of the Seventh Gate, keeping it away from danger and threats from other "Gates". Rescuing Rakul

"Clear the first level... Nobody should find these hellish practices," Priest instructed Maguire and the staff of the Rotten Casket prison.

"Okay, then... let's do what we came to do," Maguire said with a load of files in his hand.

"Yeah... What was the thing we came to—"

"To enquire that two idiots!" Maguire yelled at Priest. The officers arrived and the truth of the first level was kept under the wraps as Priest instructed.

Dangreek and Paris were brought to the interrogation room - a typical dark room with a single bulb at the top and a table and a chair. Maguire was ready to interrogate them, but Priest delayed as he had something important to deal with.

"Take these bodies and extract the ashes out of them and..." Priest looked at Kevin's corpse and exhaled deeply. "After extracting the ashes, just preserve that one corpse for me... I have some responsibility to it..." he instructed the officers.

"Who is he?" Maguire asked, while Priest simply gestured him to leave the topic and entered the room.

"Okay, criminals! Don't be a pain in our butt and just... you know... give us some answers," said Priest, back with his usual cheerful face. But Maguire felt something odd behind that smile. Priest tried to hide the guilt, but it still appeared on his face to some degree.

"Hey, are you okay?" Maguire asked in concern.

"Of course, I am. Just proceed with the proceedings... okay."

"Sure," Maguire sat down and placed the pile of files he was carrying on the table. He was still perplexed by Priest's different behavior, but shrugged it off for the time being and continued.

"Okay, I have interrogated you before and you asked Mr. Devil to be present... and here he is... freshly after a fiasco," Maguire expected to Priest chuckle at that joke.

"Yeah, go ahead," stoic-faced Priest asked Maguire to continue.

"Oh... okay. Now tell me, guys. Who the hell are you trying to revive?"

"The Saviour" Dangreek said, grinning.

*Bam* Priest slammed the table, breaking it.

"Hey!" yelled Maguire, taken aback by his action.

"Just tell us, what we need to know. And you can go back to your prison," Priest said calmly. But the reaction to it was anything other than calm.

"It's a... being from the other side... something capable of conquering our world," Paris confessed.

"You idiot!" Dangreek yelled at Paris.

"You just shut up now!... Can't you see who is he? You said he is getting weaker... he single-handedly massacred an entire batch of our 'ASH EXPERIMENTS' without even breaking a sweat—"

" ASH EXPERIMENTS... care to explain it?" Priest asked as he sipped down the freshly ordered cold coffee.

Dangreek gestured at Paris to not to say. Paris sweated like a pig, with his handcuffed hands shivering and the legs trembling.

"Don't say it. Don't betray our fellow brothers! Paris!" Dangreek seeded the words in Paris's head.

Priest rubbed his forehead and quickly got up from his seat. He grabbed Dangreek's chair, which he was strapped to, and threw him with full force against the wall.

Dangreek screamed in pain.

"Well, he is alive, now you!" Priest grabbed Paris's collar and brought him closer. "Speak up or..."

"I will... I will," Paris pleaded.

"Mr. Maguire! Write down our questions on a paper and order the officers to get all the info we need and throw him in the cell," Priest let him down, "If I stay any longer, I might end up killing them," Priest kicked the door open, which sent them flying and left the room.

"What have you done back there?" Maguire yelled, catching up to Priest, who was walking quick towards the exit.

"We don't have time... Delaying it any further will endanger Rakul."

"Oh, yeah, we have that problem too... But delaying what?"

"Just tell the Chief to ask all the defense force officers to assemble at the training ground—"

"At this time! The time is midnight 3:10, and don't walk faster... I'm 60 already, goddammit!"

"Don't worry... You are fit enough for a quick walk... now, run!" Priest transitioned to run, forcing Maguire to join too.

The Chief back in his home, having some 'night-play' with his wife, received the call from Maguire, who conveyed the information. Cursing both the two, he left the 'play' in the middle and ordered all the officers to be assembled at the training ground, using the special SOS signal designed for emergency purposes.

Maguire and Priest reached the 'Training ground'- a large, big indoor stadium designed to conduct officer selection and for combat training.

"Hey, what's the problem? Why have you asked me to bring my sleeping soldiers—"

"Rakul has been kidnapped, you know that, right?" Priest answered before Chief gets to complete the question.

"Yes, I know. Everybody knows. But Maguire told me that he was about to investigate—"

"Yeah, about that… Maguire will tell you," Priest gestured Maguire to continue

"You were serious about it… That thing! Are you seriously think that would work?" Maguire squealed.

"Just go ahead… and say it. It will work," Priest shut down Maguire's doubts and stood behind the Chief.

Maguire, with hesitance, moved forward towards the mic.

He turned back to Priest, being unsure about the revelation. Saying nothing, Priest simply nodded at him.

Maguire decided to trust him, took a deep breath and broke the news in front of everyone.

"Officer Ms. Rakul Rukmani, who was believed to be kidnapped, has been found out to be a spy, and she betrayed our 'Seventh Gate' government by joining the evil organization, who were behind all the 'Laughing Corpses' murders and illegal sorcery rituals."

The entire army of defense force broke into commotion, shocked by the sudden information.

"What the hell?"

"I knew it… letting a woman join our force… Of course it will happen"

"That wench"

The officers argued, gossipped, laughed among themselves.

"What are we going to do?" Chief asked Priest. Priest smiled at him.

"Assemble a team. A balanced team of trained high-rank officers and talented rookies. We have a serious mission to do. And the stakes are getting higher as each second passes... and tell Scientific Research department to prepare the 'Telepathic messenger' too... and what else is remaining... hmm—"

"Hey! What was the fucking mission? You are supposed to say that first!" Chief vented his frustration.

Priest exhaled and inhaled a deep breath.

"Well, for starters... We are going to rescue Rakul."
