38 Chapter 8: ???

"Say, how about we go get something to eat first? I'm quite hungry," Alex offered, he was really hungry. When they left earlier, Chitose was still preparing for dinner.

And even though Demons only need Demonic Force to survive, he was currently on a human body.

In fact, even though his body has been modified through the use of Evolution Magic, allowing him to be on the same level of strength as Captain America, he can still feel hunger, or more like he was getting even more hungry compared to when he was just a normal human.

"Eat huh..." Sagiri muttered, "I'm definitely hungry, but the mission comes first."

Alex sighed, "You can't fight in your full strength if you're hungry you know? Come on, its just a meal, the monster won't go away anyway, I'm really starving."

"This...Fine."

Alex smiled, "That's good, then follow me. Let's go eat at MgRonalds."

Sagiri hesitated for a bit before she sighed and decided to follow him. 'Somehow....this really feels like a date....Gah! Stop! Don't think of such things! You are a warrior! Love and whatnot aren't in your top priorities! Get it together! Sagiri Ameno!'

She was looking down, so she didn't saw Alex stopping and bumped into his back.

"Ouch." She took a step back and glared at Alex's back, "Why did you stop? He—y? Emi?"

She was about to scold Alex for stopping so suddenly when she saw Alice's mother, Emi Yuusa, along with a girl with short brown hair in front of them.

Emi narrowed her eyes as she glared at Alex, "What do you think you are doing Alexander? And where is Alice? Don't tell me you left her alone?"

Sagiri quickly tried to explain when she heard the angry tone on Emi's voice, "T-This isn't what i-its looks like Emi Yuusa! P-Please don't misunderstand!"

However, Sagiri completely misunderstood, the anger of Emi is not because of her and Alex going out together, but because Emi thought that Alex left Alice alone unsupervised while he went out with a girl.

Even though they have only been together for a day, Emi deeply cares for that supposed daughter of hers.

Alex scratched his cheek, "Ah, well, about that, we were actually just...going out to eat, un. As for Alice, well, she's currently under the care of Jude, so she would be alright without me for a few hours."

Emi's eyes narrowed even further, "Jude? Who's that? A girl? Are you sure she can be trusted of taking care of Alice?"

"Ah, yeah, she's been with me for a long time, you know. Even when we were still on that place."

Emi raised an eyebrow but ended up sighing, "I see."

"Hey, Emi, aren't you going to introduce them to me?" The woman beside Emi said with a smile as she looked at Alex and Sagiri.

"Eh?" Emi looked at her friend then back to Alex, "Well..."

"Alexander Gremory," Alex smiled as he introduced himself, "Its nice to meet you miss."

"I'm Sagiri Ameno, its nice to meet you." Sagiri said as she gave a nod.

"Rika Suzuki," the woman, Rika introduced herself as she gave them a smile, "Alexander huh, if I remember correctly, you're the guy that Emi has been talking about lately. Are you two perhaps in a relationship?"

"Absolutely Not!" Emi denied as she gave Alex a glare. "There's no way I'd be in relationship with a guy like him!"

"Eehh? But you've been talking about him a lot lately."

"...Well...that's...We're not in a relationship okay!"

Sagiri actually wanted to say something but stopped when Alex gave her shoulder a squeeze. She turned to look at him who was only giving her a close-eyed-smile.

Even though she was confused why Alex wanted her to keep silent, she didn't ask anything and just nodded.

"Oh well, I'm not hungry anymore. Let's go Sagiri." Alex said as he walked away.

"O-Oh." Sagiri nodded and followed after him.

Alex paused and turned towards Emi, "Oh, and Emi? Please come tomorrow okay? Alice already missed you."

Emi paused as she began to think if she is free tomorrow before giving a nod, "Well, I might be able to come at night, is that alright?"

Alex nodded, "Yeah, see you tomorrow."

With that, the two walked away.

Rika grinned as she nudged her friend, "Fufu, really? Are you two really not in a relationship? And who is this Alice huh? Come on, tell me, tell me."

"I told you its not like that," Emi groaned, "He's like, my mortal enemy you know? And Alice is just his...his....his...his sister! Yes! Sister!"

Rika still look a bit doubtful, but since her friend seems to not want to tell her, she did not pushed her and just shrugs, "I'll believe you....for now. Anyway let's go and eat, I'm hungry."

Back to Alex and Sagiri.

"Are we close?" Alex asked the ninja.

Sagiri took out her phone and opened an app that displayed a radar, "Yes, we'll be there in a minute."

Alex nodded, "So how strong is this monster? Surely you don't just head straight to an enemy's turf without information do you?"

"Of course not," she glared at him, "This monster isn't that strong, Spiritual Power wise, it only has around five thousand. But since it can absorb vitality, and is possibly intelligent, it will be a troublesome opponent to deal with."

"I see...oh, is this the place?" Alex said as he stood in front of the entrance of a rather large park.

"According to the map, yes. And the radar is also sensing a malicious Spiritual Power around this place."

Alex hummed before he gave a nod, "Well then, let's go."

"Un."

The two of them began to walked around the park, Alex can't sense any life around, possibly because of the rumor that this place became hunted.

So currently, there are only the two of them here. Not to mention that Urara already made some preparations beforehand and placed a bounded field around the park.

The two has been walking for a few minutes, but the monster has yet to appear.

"....Its not coming out at all." Alex said as he yawned. Alex actually can force the monster out, but that will immediately kill it because its too weak.

And Sagiri herself said that, she will be the one to kill the monster herself, so he refrained from doing that.

Sagiri gave a sad smile as she pressed a hand on her chest, "Well, its just speculation but...I think the monster is not coming out because I don't act like a girl."

"Hm?" Alex raised an eyebrow as he took glance at Sagiri.

"I gave this outfit my best effort to make myself look like a girl," she sighed sadly, "I guess I do look terrible wearing this, due to all the battles and physical training I've been through. Well, if that's really the case then our strategy has failed, do you have any ideas?"

"Well, I can kill the monster for you?"

"Please don't." she refused, "This is a Chuuma Ninja matters, I don't want others to get involve."

"You are really stubborn." Alex sighed, "Well, how about you lock your arms with mine?"

"WHA-?!"

"Hmm, since this is a park for couples, and the monster only attacks a pair of man and woman, that means they should be a couple right? Which means, acting more of a couple might draw it out."

Alex saw Sagiri hesitating with a red face that made it looks like she's about to explode, "Well...if you don't want then its fine. We could just think anot—"

"No, you're right." Sagiri gritted her teeth as she desperately fought her blush to disappear, "F-F-For the s-sake of k-killing this m-monster! I-I'll a-at least have to try!"

"O-Oh, you're really fired up huh? Well then—?" Alex smiled as he waited for Sagiri to move. If he was the one to move first she might get angry and say things like her heart isn't ready or something.

Sagiri looked at Alex's arm with a furious blush, one might even be able to see smoke coming out of her head.

'T-This is so indecent...b-but I need to do it!'

Slowly, her arms slithered around Alex's own as she stood closer to him, her breast was even pressing on his arm. Sagiri was so embarrassed and nervous that she can feel her heart throbbing furiously and feels like it was about to leaped out of her chest.

Alex scratched his cheek, somehow looking at Sagiri's appearance, made him feel embarrassed as well. It feels like he just tricked her into doing some "embarrassing" things.

With that, the two once again began to walk around the park, and after only a minute, they felt a malicious presence appearing.

A black mist surrounded them as Sagiri let go of Alex's arms before she took out a piece of kunai as her eyes narrowed and observed the surroundings.

"Kukukuku~!"

"Alexander Gremory, please stay back and let me handle this."

Alex blinked before he nodded, "Oh, good luck then."

The black mist then began to gather to a single place, it became smaller and smaller until the mist became something like a figure of a woman.

It was black, with long wavy hair and crimson eyes.

Alex was actually surprised seeing that thing, 'A Banshee? So those things exists here? I thought they only exists in Ente Isla. Hmm, if I remember correctly, a Banshee specialized in Soul Attacks, their screams can even make people faint, after that they will absorb their vitality.'

'Also,' He narrowed his eyes, 'What is a monster that came from Irish or Celtic folklore doing here on Japan?'

"Sagiri, use your spiritual armor quick! That thing attacks the soul! If you got hit its the end for you!"

"What?!" Sagiri exclaimed in surprised but quickly reacted. She made series of handseals as her clothes change into her spirit armor.

"WWWRRRRYYYYYY!!" (AN: LOL)

The Banshee released a loud cry as Sagiri was forced to cover her ears as her body shook. She was sure that if she did have her spirit armor she would've fainted just now.

Making some handseals, Sagiri created several clones of herself as they bolted towards the Banshee and attack.

However, the Banshee grew a sharp and longs claws as she retaliated.

Alex obsered their fight, and he got to admit that Sagiri has improved a lot. She was swift and precise, no wasted movements whatsoever.

She alternated between Taijutsu and Kunaijutsu, dodging the attacks of the Banshee with fluid movements.

Suddenly, the Banshee splits itself into dozens of copies, but Sagiri did not even show a shred of surprised as she retreated and made some handseals.

"Autumn Rain!" Dozens of Kunais appeared in circle around her, and with a wave of her hand, the Kunai flew at an incredible speed and hit every copies of the Banshees.

The Banshees immediately disappeared after getting hit by the Kunais, but none of them were actually the real one.

"WRRYY!"

Sagiri quickly did a front flip as the Banshee attacks her from behind. She summoned a circle of Kunai and quickly countered attack.

She keep moving around the Banshee while attacking, alternating between throwing and stabbing.

The Banshee desperately tried to dodge but the barrage of Kunai attacking it made it helpless.

Sagiri then took out a Kunai with talisman on the handle and threw it towards the Banshee.

Boom!

Seeing that, Sagiri sighed in relief before she looked towards Alex who was looking back at her with a smile.

With a handseal, she returned back to her normal clothes.

Alex approached her, "Well, you certainly improved. I can say you are now capable of at least holding your own against that Hollow you fought before."

Embarrassed, Sagiri blushed, "T-Thanks...well, now I won't need to wear this clothes anymore. As expected, this type of clothes doesn't suit me."

Alex raised an eyebrow, 'She really is not confident about her femininity,' he sighed, "Don't think like that, you look beautiful."

"B-B-Beau—Shut up! Don't make fun of me!"

Alex just shrugs, he tried. "Anyway, let's continue this date and find a place to eat yeah?"

"I told you! Its not a date!"

"Yes, yes, whatever you say."
