Chapter 3 : A Sweetish Blood

Genesis :

I was walking with Stevven home. He looked worried & confused of something. I wanted to know, I was curious. Vixxon was in my mind all the time. I just couldn't stop thinking of how he was. He was wounded deep. He was in so much agony. I wish I could release him from that.

I was depressed & Stevven saw me. I hid my emotions behind my eyes. My tears betrayed me & flowed down. I started crying. Stevven saw me & tried comforting me. His ocean blue eyes trying it's best in stopping my tears.

"It's fine! He will be okay! You don't have to worry! He will be strong in no time!", he said.

I looked at him. He looked depressed & went into his world of thoughts again. I saw my dad near my house. I quickly wiped my tears & went towards him. I waved a bye at Stevven & went inside. My dad held my hand tight & was smiling. I was confused why he did so.

"You can't believe who has come! You will be happy seeing her!", he said.

I went inside. To my surprise was a woman sitting on the couch, her hair was brown & she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. It was my mom!

My mom is the alpha female of the pack. She teaches younger kids & other members of the pack to get strong & maintain good relations with other packs. I met her once in 2 years. I loved my mom as I never got to be with her completely. I noticed the hall empty. It was only me, my mom & my dad. Where were my siblings?

I have 5 siblings. Gwen being the eldest, Gena after her, then Gexx, then Genon, then Galaxy & then me. Galaxy & I were the closest siblings you could ever imagine. We shared our secrets, our hobbies & even our life! I loved her to the core of my heart. She understood me more than anyone else in this world.

Galaxy is introverted & optimistic. She loves the stars & considers Galileo Galilei as her role model. She wants to be one of the greatest astronomers/astrophysicist of all time. She dedicates most of her time to the telescope watching stars & planets. I gave her the Telescope X. It's a telescope worthy of even seeing the planets & the solar system.

She I one year older than me. Hence we understand each other very well. Now back to my other siblings. Gwen is confident & a born leader. She is 17 & sassy. She is a professional artist in Heavenearth, mostly spending her time in art. Gena is a bookworm. She is a famous author & writes books on family, friends, life & peace. Gexx, a heaven blessed musician.

My brother & my protector. Has lots of problems with people who are there in my life. Be it my siblings or even my friends. He never spares anyone who hurts me. I Iike that about him. He always protects me because I'm the youngest. He also dedicated a song to me which was #1 in music chart of Heavenearth Tunes called 'The bond'.

He really loves me more than my other siblings. He takes care of me & teaches me some musical instruments at free time. He never let's me down & I always look forward for our Brother-Sister bond. Next up is Genon. A cold & self centered guy. He is silent & calm at all times. He is an athlete & represented the Olympics for Heavenearth. Loves all sports & games.

Yeah that was a quick introduction of my siblings. Now back to where I was. I asked my dad where they went & he told me that they went to the arcade together leaving me. I was so angry at them that I would explode anytime soon.

"Let them come back home! I won't even talk to them!", I frowned. I looked over to mom who was standing all calm.

My emotions felt calmed all of a sudden. She was the only person having a huge amount of patience after Galaxy. I went over to her & gave a small smile before I went to my room. I was exhausted for some reason. I wanted to fresh up so badly. I thought of the nice relaxing bath I would have in my bathroom.

After 5 minutes I came out & felt a sudden chill of air. I wondered if the window was open or if it was the AC. I checked but the AC was off & the windows were closed. It was weird but I thought of it was my misconception. I went down stairs to have a family time. Dad was busy talking to the other pack members while mom was cooking.

I thought to go & help her with the cooking. Although she refused, I helped her.

"I'll cut the tomatoes & the onions!", I suggested. She finally agreed. After a long hour of cooking we finished. We bumped our fists as a symbol of teamwork at the end. Dad also finished talking.

We sat & were about to have our dinner. At that time my siblings showed up. I looked at them angrily. My small grumpy face was making them laugh. I frowned again & concentrated on my dinner. They came & sat on their own chairs looking at me.

"We were about to tell you! But we thought you might've been busy with the Duels. So we thought not to ask as we didn't want you to be disturbed!", Gena explained.

"Yeah!", all of them said at once. I can't even believe Galaxy betrayed me too. I looked over to her.

She apologized symbolically like she didn't mean it. I then stared at Gexx. He looked at me as if he was sorry a million times.

"Fine! I forgive y'all!", I said out loud.

Everyone laughed while I stared at everyone confused. I gave a small laugh in return.

"How's it?", mom asked as everyone started eating.

"It's amazing!", we all said.

"But the tomatoes & onions are not cut properly.", Gwen complained. I gulped the spices all at once causing me to choke as soon as I heard it. I felt guilty for it. Mom passed me the water as she was nearby. I drank & calmed down.

"That's because I cut it!", I said.

"That's why!", Gena continued.

"I'm so sorry that I spoilt today's dinner!", I deeply apologized.

"It's ok!", Gexx & Galaxy supported me.

"Hey don't worry! It's amazing! I was just kidding!", Gwen said.

"Yeah same!", Gena said. We all laughed and enjoyed the dinner with mom.

We all went to our rooms after that. Galaxy came to my room finding my room all messed up. I hurried to my bed & cleaned it as fast as I could.

"I'm sorry! You know how clumsy I am!", I said embarrassed.

"Yes I do!", she continued. She unwrapped the curtains & saw at the sky.

"It's quite surprising that the Orion is not there today!", she wondered.

"It was supposed to come today?", I asked in doubt.

"Yeah.", she said. She closed the curtains & went back.

"I'm going to bed! See you tomorrow! Night!", she said.

"Night!", after I said that she went out to her room.

I wasn't getting sleep, so I just grabbed a book & went to bed. Soon after time, I read like 345 pages but still I didn't get sleep. I thought to complete the book which had barely 50 pages. In the 394th page, I felt a sudden chill. The chill I felt when I came out from the bathroom.

I also felt a creepy aura surrounding me. I got up from the bed & decided to go the bathroom as I got a sound from there. Somewhat like footsteps. I saw someone inside. I couldn't see who it was, but he was wearing a black robe like outfit. He turned back, my mind curious to know who he was.

One guess I could make was that the person was none of my siblings or my parents. It could probably be Gexx as he kinda looked like that person.

"Gexx is that you?", I asked. The person didn't answer anything. Was it someone else? It wasn't Gexx nor someone in my family.

"Gexx if it is a prank I'm serious it's not funny!", I said. Right at the moment, he kept coming forward. Faster & faster. I started to feel scared now. I stepped back & ran! He was following me. I slammed the door behind me thinking he wouldn't come. But he came somehow like a power of teleportation.

"Mom! Dad! Galaxy!", I screamed but somehow no one heard me. I went to Galaxy's room but I found out she wasn't there. The man wasn't following me anymore. I slowly went outside. I understood no one was at home. But it was weird. An unknown person in my room, my family disappearing.

All of that was something weird. I didn't know what to do. I thought to summon Velvette, my wolf. She came out & sniffed something. She started to growl at the presence of someone.

"Velvette, what is it?", I asked. She turned towards me & asked me to follow her. She continued sniffing & stopped at a particular place.

No one was there but I could sense something weird. It was a creepy aura that was present. I stopped & stared at something front. In that moment, the man in appeared right in front of me. I screamed & ran along with Velvette. I turned back to see the man stop. I stopped & looked at him. He was old, had a white pale skin.

His skin was rotten like a monster. He came into the moonlight. Where I could see his eyes. The eyes that I had never seen before. It was black & by black I mean completely black. He wore a black robe. His whole body covered except his hands & face. He didn't do anything but when he raised his hand & pointed at me. I felt something weird inside.

Everything went black & I passed out. When I woke up it was morning. Was it a dream? If it was, then it's a terrible nightmare for me. How creepy was that? I saw Velvette next to me, sleeping. I dispersed her & woke up. The bright sun poking my eyes & the silence giving a different charm to the morning.

There was a house with a huge garden. I was just behind it. It felt like no one lived here. I went inside. My throat dried up like a desert what it just needed was hydration. I came to the living room where some ancient portraits of kings & queens was displayed. There was a staircase which was spiral. It was long & had red carpets along it.

I went to the kitchen. No matter how the condition of the water was, I just wanted to drink water. The kitchen had cobwebs & it was all dusty. I went to the faucet. To my surprise it contained clean water. Or if it looked like that. It was crystal clear with no dirt in it. It was drinkable. Maybe it came from a river. I took a glass, washed it & took the water.

I drank the water. It felt like I was thirsty all my life. The relish it gave felt like I was in my dreamworld. I went out & explored the place. I wanted to go home but didn't know how. I had never been here before so I didnt know the way. In front of me was the nature everyone expected to see in a future city.

Heavenearth had forests but none like the one in front of me. I sat down to enjoy the beauty of this nature unexplored. I was sitting on a cliff far away unseen. I was feeling scared a bit but my courage let it down. After a few minutes or so I left the place. I was still in my pyjamas. But my pant was ripped & my shirt was dusty.

"Is anyone here?", I screamed so loud that it echoed through the nature & mountains far beyond. I hoped someone would respond & come save me from here. I waited for 5 minutes but still I didn't get any response. It's useless in a world like this. I walked away, just then I heard a far voice distancing towards me.

"Come here!", someone said. It was a voice I never heard. Finally someone replied! I was so happy that I ran towards the voice.

"Where are you?", I screamed.

"In the forest in front of you!", he said.

I ran down the cliff as fast as I could. I entered the dense forest. I remembered the voice & from where it came.

I summoned Velvette to distinguish the voice a bit clear. She heard the voice when it was first said. She followed the voice deeper into the woods. I followed her. We stopped at a space which was surrounded 360° by trees.

"I'm behind you!", he said.

I turned back but found no one.

"Are you pranking me? I'm telling you it's not funny!", I screamed in anger.

I got a pat from someone. It was Genon!

"Where the hell where you!?", he asked.

How come I did not recognise the voice? It was not like Genon!

"I don't know! I have to explain a lot of things that happened with me last night! But before that lets go home!", I said.

"Okay! Follow me!", he said.

I followed him until we reached the end of the forest.

We reached Heavenearth! I mean like literally! It was so fast!

"Where are we by the way?", I asked him.

"We are in Green Canopy!", he said.

So Green Canopy is a forest in the outskirts of Heavenearth. I had never been here before so I had no clue that it was Green Canopy. We hired a cab & drove home.

I was so excited to see mom & dad & all of my siblings. I missed them! After a nightmare that happened last night, I was overwhelmed in seeing them. We reached home. Dad & Mom were standing there. I got off the car & hugged them tight!

"I was so scared!", I cried.

"It's ok dear! We are here with you!", my mom comforted.

Standing next to my mom was Galaxy. She looked at me with a sigh.

"Thank god your safe!", she said.

"Genesis, Aunt Rose called you to her home for dinner. She wanted to see you. Since you were not here yesterday, she met all your siblings.", mom said.

"Fine! I'll meet her by today.", I said.

Aunt Rose was a very sweet person. I had a typical nightmare in her home few years back. I can never forget that nightmare in my life. It was 7pm & I went to Aunt Rose's house. Dad dropped me. I was in my casuals worrying how the night might be. I rang the doorbell & went inside.

She told me to sit on the couch while she brought a glass of water. I drank as I was still dehydrated. Something felt off as I drank the cup of water. It tasted sweet & tasted like... Blood! I know it sounds crazy & weird. But I have tasted blood before. In the nightmare I had. Yes, it was Aunt Rose who put her husband's blood in my cup.

She was the one who killed him. After that moment what she went to do marked a nightmare in my life. It was Aunt Rose trying to kill me. She came towards me with a knife bleeding from her husband's blood. I don't know how it was possible. Why was my nightmare repeating? Am I dreaming? I stepped back & got up.

Her dreadful eyes hunting for blood & vengeance. I dropped the cup & screamed for help. No one seemed to hear me. Where am I? What is this world? I fell on the floor with her in front of me, crying & begging for life. It happened exactly like the nightmare I had & what next she had to do was try to kill me.
