The Silent Explosion

Hearing Maya's response, Lukash looked at her with a crooked expression. At that moment, there was a vibration in the ground accompanied by a loud blast.

The blast occurred some distance away from Maya in the car parking area. However, the sound was very loud and terrifying.

For a moment, the loud noise of the blast left Maya and Lukash's ears numb. But when Maya quickly regained her composure and looked in the direction of the sound, her eyebrows raised with interest as she observed the blast site.

The car parking area where the blast occurred was no ordinary parking lot. It was the private car parking of Dream Emperor. It was almost impossible for a blast to happen or be orchestrated there. Very few people in the world had the power and courage to do such a thing.

After the blast, there was chaos throughout the Dream Emperor office building. People scattered in all directions, but Maya's calm and beautiful face showed no change.

Maya's car had been brought outside by the guard before the blast. In a way, the unexpected and unbelievable blast didn't affect her. However, Maya was curious to know exactly where and why the blast occurred.

Ten seconds after Lukash left, Maya's phone rang. She saw the caller ID and found that Vidyut was calling.

When Maya answered the call, Vidyut's soft voice came from the other side, "How are you?"

Though Vidyut's voice was soft, it was cold and attractive even over the phone.

Before responding, Maya paused for a moment. Despite the significant changes in their situation, Maya didn't expect a call from Vidyut asking about her well-being.

After a brief pause, Maya said, "I'm fine. How are you?"

"I'm fine too."

Hearing Vidyut's response, Maya was unsure what to say or ask next.

Maya had no experience with relationships. She didn't know what and how couples talked on phone calls, so she couldn't think of anything to say next. Moreover, Vidyut's silence after responding made her even more confused.

After almost a minute of silence, when Maya couldn't find a topic to continue the conversation, she asked, "Where is Ayansh?"

Hearing Maya's question, Vidyut, sitting in the Singhania Group's chairman's cabin, looked at Ayansh. Ayansh was asleep, tightly hugging Vidyut's chest.

With zero emotion, Vidyut ran his hard fingers through Ayansh's hair and said, "He is with me, but you won't be able to talk to him right now. He is asleep."

Hearing Vidyut's response, Maya said, "Alright. When Ayansh wakes up, please ask him to talk to me."

"Hmmm."

As Maya was about to disconnect the call, Vidyut asked, "Are you free now?"

Looking at her watch, Maya replied, "No, I'm not free now. I have to meet Mr. Kashyap at Wandsworth Prisoner. Did you need something important from me?"

Hearing Maya's response, Vidyut emotionlessly said, "No, nothing much. I just wanted to see and kiss you."

Hearing the word "kiss" from Vidyut's mouth, Maya's ears turned slightly red like an innocent rabbit's.

Changing the topic, Maya asked, "When are you returning to India?"

In a cold tone, Vidyut replied, "Around 6 PM this evening."

Hearing Vidyut's response, Maya thought about her schedule for a moment.

Ayansh was also going to India with Vidyut today. After today, it would be difficult for Maya to meet Ayansh and Vidyut for the next six months. So, after thinking for a moment, she said to Vidyut, "If you are free now, we can have lunch together."

Hearing Maya's suggestion, Vidyut thought about his busy schedule. His schedule was completely fixed and busy, but now when his wife was inviting him for lunch, how could he say no?

After a moment of pause, Vidyut replied in a cold tone, "Okay!"

Hearing Vidyut's agreement, Maya asked again, "Will you decide the place, or should I?"

Vidyut replied, "I will send you the location."

By the time Maya disconnected the call, Lukash had also returned.

Putting her phone in her overcoat pocket, Maya asked Lukash, "What's the matter?"

In a slightly confused tone, Lukash replied, "Maya Madam, the blast occurred in Sushant's car."

"In Sushant's car?" Maya repeated Lukash's words. Hearing his response, confusion appeared in her eyes as well.

Understanding Maya's thoughts, Lukash added, "Yes, in Sushant's car. And the most surprising thing is, Maya Madam, Sushant was present in his car at the time of the blast. His body was torn to pieces in the explosion."

Hearing Lukash's last words, the confusion in Maya's eyes cleared up as if she understood something.

Tapping her boots on the ground, Maya let out a light laugh.

Seeing her laugh, Lukash became curious and asked, "Maya Madam, could Vidyut Sir be behind this?"

Hearing Lukash's question, Maya replied, "Are you still in doubt, Lukash?"

Hearing Maya's response, slight wrinkles of concern appeared on Lukash's forehead. He was now sure that Vidyut was behind the blast. But if Vidyut was indeed behind it, did that mean he was keeping an eye on Maya?

Lukash looked at Maya with a crooked glance and carefully said, "Maya Madam, don't you think Vidyut Sir is keeping an eye on you? I mean, even if Vidyut Sir did this with good intentions for your protection, it's not safe for us. What if Vidyut Sir finds out everything about you?"

Hearing Lukash's words, Maya's eyes turned slightly stern.

Maya said, "Lukash, don't think too much about it. I'll handle this matter. You just focus on the excavation work carefully."

Hearing Maya's words, Lukash didn't say anything further about Vidyut.

After sitting in the driver's seat of her car, Maya said to Lukash, "You go to Wandsworth Prisoner and settle everything, Lukash! I'll be there shortly."

After Maya's sports car left, Lukash took another look at the parking area.

It wasn't too surprising for Lukash to see a cold-hearted person like Vidyut being possessive about his wife. But seeing the devil's cruel possessiveness so soon made Lukash a bit worried.

Possessiveness to some extent is acceptable in a relationship, but its extreme can prove fatal for any healthy relationship. Lukash just hoped that the devil's possessiveness remained within limits. Otherwise...?

Maya soon arrived at the hotel Fifth Century, according to the location sent by Vidyut.

Sanjeev was standing outside the hotel to receive Maya.

As soon as Maya stepped out of the car, Sanjeev respectfully said, "Lady Boss, please come with me. The boss is waiting for you upstairs."

Hearing the word "Lady Boss" again from Sanjeev's mouth, Maya said with a light smile, "Sanjeev, 'Lady Boss' sounds a bit odd. If possible, just call me Madam. The word 'Lady Boss' somewhat stings my ears."

Initially, Sanjeev found Maya's words a bit strange, but when he understood their meaning, a complicated smile appeared on his face.

Maya was the boss of her territory. When Sanjeev thought again about Maya's words, he realized that calling her 'Lady Boss' was, in a way, disrespectful.

Accepting his mistake, Sanjeev said, "I am sorry, Madam! I understand your point. I will call you Maya Madam from now on."

Hearing Sanjeev's response, Maya felt slightly satisfied.

Sanjeev led Maya to the private room on the top floor and opened the door, saying, "Boss and Little Boss are inside, Madam!"

Hearing Sanjeev, Maya said before entering the room, "You also have something to eat, Sanjeev!"

Hearing Maya's words, Sanjeev nodded with a slight smile and a blush.

Entering the private room, Maya saw that Ayansh was still sleeping in Vidyut's lap while Vidyut was doing something on his tablet.

Removing her overcoat, Maya said to Vidyut, "Ayansh is still sleeping."

Hearing Maya, Vidyut turned off his tablet and tossed it onto the couch. Looking at Maya, he said, "Hmm! He seems to be in a deep sleep. You go and freshen up."

Hearing Vidyut, Maya went to freshen up in the washroom. The private room they were in was very classy and luxurious, with a washroom for freshening up.

After Maya went into the washroom, Vidyut laid Ayansh on the couch, loosened his tie knot, and headed towards the washroom.
