Dreadful path

How was I supposed to know that the dreadful looking animal was a cat.

Jeez,it's so scary.I said while putting my hands on my mouth I was really scared.

*ring ring*

I startled from the sound of the Nora phone ringing.

Why don't you put that phone in silent mood I said but she ignored me,she really wasn't scared of the dark,or let's say her mind was clouded with thoughts.

What was she really up to,she is acting so strange.what's wrong with you girl?,"I asked concerned.

Nora have been my friend for the past 5 years now.she is a mysterious person and sometimes acts strange,people avoided her but annabel did not,instead she brought her close to her self.

Meanwhile,you will be suspicious wondering where they are coming from and where the are going to at the middle of the night remaining 10 more minutes to make it the next day.

"Hello ma,i'll soon be there,nora said to the person on the phone but I didn't hear what she said,seems like she was manipulating me.

"Annabel give me your hands,"nira said while pulling out her hands for me to hold on to.

We walked for about 30 minutes before nora told me to stop and I obeyed without rebelling.

"What is the problem"I asked while almost whispering but then,nora shushed me up.

Seems like she was hearing something or maybe someone coming towards us to harm us.she brought out her knife and fiercely sliced the demon in front of us into halves.

"Woahh..,"I said really surprised.

I actually think that nora won't be able to hurt a fly at that point I was entirely wrong.

Not only can she hurt a fly,she can slice thousands of demons into halves in just a twinkle of an eye.

How possible? I asked myself while standing akimbo looking at nora kill those demons like they were nothing.it seems like a Korean action movie or maybe she's one of their actors I said to myself while holding my bears dramatically.

"Come on,let's run they are plenty of them coming,"she said while she took my hands running so fast.

We reached a death end.at that point,I felt like it's over,I started crying and blaming nora for taking me with her.I started regretting why I didn't apologize to daniel for calling him a pauper.I feel really bad now,I might not live to apologize to him again.while I stood there paceing about,nora stood akimbo looking at me and when I was through,she burst out into laughter making me feel so stupid.

"You ain't gonna die today girl,"she said.

"The meeting has already started,we need to be fast to avoid getting the queen mother mad," she said.

"Which queen mother are you a witch?" I asked already shaking fearfully.

"No am not,"she reassured me and held my hand as we jumped into the big river.

"Why are you late?,a woman dressed in white overall gown asked still with her staff on her left hand.

"Am so sorry queen mother,"nora apologized while bowing down.

"No problem,get your friend here for imitation,"she commanded.

At that point I was afraid,and thought I was going to be killed soon,I had already started hating nora.

"Why will you do this to me?,"I asked.

"Why do you want to kill me,what wrong have I done to you?,"I asked soberly not knowing that everything she was doing that day was for my own benefit.

She called me closer trying to explain to me but then I wasn't listening,so I just pushed her to the ground and tried running by the queen mother casted a spell on me making me inable to move .

You have to stay here today,it's for your own benefit terms queen mother said while making me to kneel down before she proceeded with the initiation.

She chanted gibberish which can only be heard by her and other witches.just like the christains speaking in tongues,only they and they angels knows what they say.

The queen mother poured an oil mixed with different herbs on annabeks head and immediately,she fainted still alive but then in another realm of the world.she was totally lost there and started screaming for help.A guy from nowhere appeared to her,presenting his hands to her and immediately he turned into a devil ready to attack but didn't hurt annabel because it was changed and had a clock on tied to the chain.

She didn't know what that means but then the queen mother knows of it.

She didn't try explaining it to her,instead she ignored her and continued with the ritual.

When they were through initiating me,the queen mother ordered nora to escort me back to my home which she did by then,I was already freaking scared of her.I had though that I would die that night.I couldn't even talk,there was no single strength in me to ask her questions.

Thanks be to God,we didn't encounter any demon on our way home.I was feeling really dizzy,I didn't know what they did to me.

Maybe she is one of those demons acting like an angel to me.

Is she really who she say she is?

She dropped me off my apartment,hugged me with a tear about to drop down from her eyes then ran into the thin air.

The next day,which is on a Saturday,i didn't wake up early to do my house chores as usual.I just slept until it was 12 o'clock and didn't realize that until my mum came knocking on my door aggressively.

I weakly walked towards the door to let her in before she brings my innocent door down.

"All hail the queen,my queen am so sorry for disturbing you,"she said sarcastically.

I didn't say a word which got her more angry,she dragged me by my hair taking me to the kitchen to see the mess left for me to clean and arrange.

"I give you only thirty minutes to clean here up,"she said and walked out banging the door at the same time.

I just stood there hoping that she would come back to apologize.

But then,how stupid I was to think that she would beg.instead of doing what I was hoping for,the next was that I heard her complaining to my dad in a very loud tone.

While I was standing,it seems I saw something walk pass me,but then,I couldn't really place my hands on it.I ignored it,gathering strength from an unknown source to clean up the mess in the kitchen.
