"What should I do?" Fil paced back and forth, biting the tip of her thumb. "Should I tell him Kenzo had a change of plan? Or should I just go with it?"

Fil clasped her hair in distress. She was just messing with Marcus, assuming he wouldn't agree to her suggestion. Who would have thought the man would agree?

"Who is in their right mind who would agree to meet the man they beat up so casually?" she murmured, stopping in her tracks as her expression changed. "But then again, this is Marcus."

Fil clasped her hair with both her hands again, taking this as another lesson learned. As she lamented over her mistake, her phone suddenly rang. Fil didn't think twice, jumping on the bed and answering the call without a second hesitation.

"Hello!" 

"That's not the mood I was expecting," Jackson, the person on the other end of the line, pointed out immediately. "Let me guess, you missed me?"
