"Disperse yourselves and get ready for the later scouting mission," Edna said as they landed before walking away. Tori walked towards Flora saying, "Limited animal life and no sign of plant life located within the 10-mile radius. There were however many cracks and spiting ground, most going deeper than a few miles." Flora nodded asking, "Any dangerous predatory engagement?"

Edna answered saying, "None towards us but there was a white creature that ate what seemed to be a hare, we didn't see what happened before the feeding began. Here are the images." She taped on her bracelet creating a transparent image of a single creature with two legs and a large jaw but no hands. It was feeding on the white-furred red-eyed hare-like creature trying to swallow it whole.

"I did not need to see that," Flora said looking away quickly before saying, "Upload this as a report to the ship and rest till mealtime." They nodded before walking towards the ship and Flora glanced around before heading into her own tent.

She sat down closing her eyes and resting for the next few hours. She woke up to a soft rustling sound from the tent's doors as Tori walked in with food. She smiled softly asking, "Is there something bothering you Flora?" Flora got up and said, "No, I am just tired from the trip. It's been a while since we have traveled this way."

Tori nodded as she closed the tent flap before saying, "We are about to leave, you should hurry and eat before." Flora nodded as Tori placed the flood on the bed before she started to change. Tori finished changing by the time Flora had finished her meal and the two left the tent.

"Everyone is present and ready," Edna said as she walked towards her, and Flora nodded. "Go ahead and lead," Flora said to Edna who flew up and projected her voice, "Everyone, we will be walking out of the safety zone now, please be warned the temperatures are cold and dangerous so stick together."

They followed her advice and steps as the fairies flew up on the sides of the researchers who walked behind Edna and Tori. Flora, Quinsy, and Mina flew behind the researchers keeping watch of everything in the surrounding areas.

They traveled a mile out before dividing the party into two sections and took multiple samples of the ground. This happened a few more times before they arrived at the split in the ground. It wasn't large and the researchers were carious, so Diana asked, "Flora, is it possible to explore the depths of the split?"

Flora looked at the split in the ground saying, "Tori, take a few fairies and scout that crack. The rest take a break and drink something." Mina glanced at her asking, "You aren't doing this just because it's your sister right, Flora?"

Flora smiled saying, "No, I am doing this because she is the lead researcher, now go on and stand guard around them, I am going in with Tori." Mina nodded flying down next to Quinsy as she told Edna, "Stand guard till they return."

The fairies above the crack stayed far from it as the others flew down, it was only Tori and 5 other fairies not including Flora who flew in a few minutes after them. "How is it looking?" Flora asked and Tori smiled saying, "This is the lowest part of the crack, but there are many splits along the wall we haven't explored yet."

Flora nodded saying, "Any life?" Tori shook her head as she said, "You can bring in three researchers and a few fairies to escort them while we explore these splits. Flora nodded as she flew up and towards Diana.

"Select two others that can go with you," Flora said before flying toward Edna, Mina, and Quinsy. "I need 4 fairies to go down, and the rest can stay here to collect samples around the area. One of you keep watch over the crack just in case," Flora said and they nodded as Mina pulled out the 4 fairies for her before they all walked towards the split.

Flora smiled as she cast levitating magic on the researchers and the other fairies helped guide them down the crack Flora said, "Please stay together and collect only what you need, do not go exploring any of the crevices on the wall." They nodded as they landed and one of the fairies lit up the somewhat dark dept. Flora smiled watching as they gathered their samples.
