The devil lord belatedly realized what had happened as he cursed under his breath and used his magic in an instant. He flicked his fingers as his entire body vanished from there without a single trace, leaving only a trace of swirling black and red energy as if spread around like a fog.

The next moment he appeared, his body was directly standing outside, right beneath his tower. At the same time, the young man's body still dressed in maid's outfit fell toward him with a blinding speed, right into his arms.

Chen Ming, who regretted jumping a millisecond after the act, was so shocked when he landed in someone's arms that his entire face blanked out for a second. He couldn't absolutely tell whether what he was facing right now was merely a dream or reality.

Ah, he must have been in the heavens right now and he probably died a painless death. Otherwise how could he end up in this person's arms.

As for why this person he was seeing in the heavens…..

"Why aren't you a girl?" He muttered under his breath, but the devil lord caught those words as he felt the corner of his lips twitching.

Then the devil did let him off, literally letting the young man fall to the ground, down on his butt.

Chen Ming's eyes widened as his back hit the ground, so hard that he felt a hint of immense pain on his butt. He blinked and looked up innocently. This was the very first time his expressions cracked so much, especially after this second fall.

His face leaked out a hint of confusion and rage filling up his heart for a second, making his cheeks reddened and puffed up. But the next second, he blinked away those emotions and took a deep breath, covering up his expression with utter traces of coldness once again.

He thought the man didn't notice, but oh he did. The devil lord's amber eyes narrowed at the youth as he stared. Finally, he opened his mouth and said, "Gao Wen."

After speaking those words, he started walking and said, "You can stay, but don't knock on my door the next time until I find you myself."

As the devil lord was walking, his entire body vanished from there without a trace, leaving a fog like scenery from before. Chen Ming stared at that fog, fascinated out of his mind. In his hometown, there wasn't anything like magic that existed. The only magic ever existed was in the anime or movies.

He was shocked as he crawled up to that place and raised his hand, reaching out to that fog in fascination. His eyes sparkled with a hint of joy that appeared even in his hands as he continued to play with the fog until it disappeared and he returned to his senses.

As he blinked out of his confused and fascinated state of mind, he covered up his face once again with that cold and detached look as he got off the ground, brushing off nonexistent dust from his butt, wincing right then when he realized his butt was scratched. He closed his eyes once again as he returned to his calm and composed self, entering the palace once again from the door that was left open for him.

All the servants had seen this incredible scene, and they were absolutely shocked seeing their lord, who was cold and cruel from his heart, would actually save a human! This person must be someone special, right?

Thus, no one stopped the man as he walked from one door to another.

On the railings of the fifth floor though, Gao Wen stared at the door from where the human disappeared off to as his eyes squinted. A mild smile formed on the corner of his lips as it ticked up, but the emotions in his eyes kept hidden, making his amber eyes look like the depth of the abyss.

"Interesting."

After that, he vanished away from that place yet again.

There was a reason why he was surprised by this human's behavior. In this world, magic and stuff was common, and other humans especially feared the dark fog left by the demons who came and wreaked havoc in the human villages every now and then. So every human who had arrived at this place as his only 'relief' feared him so much that they would end up peeing at the mere sight of him.

This human was so out of the blue that not only was he fascinated with his energy, but that guy even forcibly kissed him. A weak human actually kissed him!

Gao Wen, who had already entered his room, laughed after thinking of that scene as he licked his lips as if savoring that taste. But when he thought of something else, his expression darkened the next second as he stopped thinking about it and walked toward the window, standing there and staring outside at the darkening sky.

Chen Ming didn't know he had evoked complicated emotions in the depths of the devil's heart. He walked in the corridor in his maid's outfit, feeling as if he were out of place in this kind of dress. Of course, even though the servants didn't say everything on his face, their suggestive glances gave their hearts away.

They were indeed thinking of something incredibly dirty, and by the time Chen Ming reached the fifth floor where he had entered first after falling into the pit, his face was entirely black. He walked toward the door of the devil lord as he felt the corner of his mouth twitching.

Suddenly, he felt like he should make his stand clear. Even though he wasn't straight, he was going to pretend for the sake of the adrenaline rush that he was in fact gay. So if he was going to make the man fall in love with him, at least he should teach the man a thing or two about relationships.

Even if the man didn't want to be in a relationship, what was wrong with teaching the other? Chen Ming treated the devil lord as a spoiled, wild puppy who hadn't had a good teacher to teach him a few things.

Thus, shouldn't it be his responsibility to take up this task?

Thus, he went over and knocked on the door once again without a trace of fear in his eyes.
