CHAPTER 16: ROHAN JADON MORIARTY

THIRD PERSON

You can see Elyze in the northern part of Jaded Woods jumping on trees without even flinching as she makes her way away from Miss Amara's location, where the ITs have gathered. She first makes a right, then a left, then a straight, and finally a left again.

However, she stops when her contact lenses warn her about potential traps. She blinked her eyes twice, and then she noticed that the trees, rocks, and soil around her had changed into a blue grid, and that there were five red dots on the ground, which indicated that there were bombs hidden there.

Because of the contact lenses she was wearing, which can identify some potential risks or even persons as long as they are within a 200-meter radius, she was able to spot these traps.

"That's not good, if I step at least one of these explosives, they will undoubtedly know where I am, that leaves.." She looked at the trees behind her before smiling, then she continued to jump on the trees and cling on to the vines to escape the bombs on the ground.

She quickly learns how to escape the traps and keeps moving as quickly as she can until, 30 minutes later, she reaches the center of the forest, which is home to several caves and miniature mountains. and when she started to feel tired, she made the decision to take a nap in one of the caves. She simply entered the cave, sat down on the ground, and checked the time.

"thirty minutes have passed.. the IT probably on the move right now."

The game begins, and the TAGs rapidly find places to hide, while the ITs roam around to find them. As this is occurring, not only the jaded woods, which are filled with wild animals such as wolves, lions, panthers, leopards, tigers, and other unusual creatures, but also some mysterious creatures from a world that humans cannot comprehend are lurking.

No one can identify them as they look similar to ordinary animals as well.

Jotaro Miller is a man with green eyes and black hair walking casually as he looks around. He is holding a gun loaded with paintballs rather than bullets, a rubber knife in his legs, and an old compass in his left hand with a variety of runes engraved on it.

The reason why Jotaro directly went to the southern part of the Jaded Woods is because it's where an 'unprecedented being' was sealed. despite the fact that it's where the wild animals gathered.

Because reapers collect human souls and take care of the possible dangers that might affect the world as a result of the constant fighting between the netherworld and heaven realms, they are the most powerful beings that stand between angels and demons. Reapers are forbidden from interfering with human lives or getting involve with them because they can alter someone else's destiny. At the same time, their decisions might cause calamities to appear on Earth.

not only that, but the exceptional being that was residing in the jaded woods was actually one of the most important figures of the netherworld! if a higher angel from the second sphere of heaven realms found out about him and went to 'him' or a human with unique abilities or a person was connected to someone who made a deal with another demon, it would be dangerous.

That is why jotaro had to take 'him' back to the netherworld before things got rough to him, he still had to collect dozens of dead souls before the next eclipse began, plus he had to take keir, the prince of the empyrean kingdom, back to heaven realms, which was the most difficult thing to do.

however.. he didn't know that time.. something he didn't anticipated will happen..

Just a few meters away from jotaro, you will see two people with purple hair walking leisurely as if they were hiking to the forest. This is none other than Rohan and rheyne, who are simply walking while rohan is riding to his floating hoverboard and his holographic tablet that is floating in front of him as well.

The quantum corporation has developed a hoverboard that is used in schools today. Although it is a new technology, rohan's hoverboard can function as an offensive weapon, it can block a 2mm bullet and even sharp knives, daggers, samurai swords, and so on. It may also float as high as a fifth story building and may carry up to four people. Moreover, it also has a secret compartment for storing what you want and most importantly, it has speed that is equivalent to a bullet train's top speed.

After circling the locations they passed by, the camera on the hoverboard picked up a signal and rohan stopped playing so he could look at his blue holographic tablet again, finding jotaro walking carefree as he glanced at the camera and nudged his eyeglasses, rohan couldn't prevent himself from twitching his lips before poking his brother.

"Not good. jotaro was on his way." he said using his weary voice and expressionless face.

"atleast show some expression if you're anxious tsk."

"I can't, this is my natural expression, and those people I often date likes it, they said I'm interesting."

"what the hell are you? I couldn't understand you at all." rheyne said to his twin sarcastically.

"such an idiot like you wouldn't understand me."

"say it once again!"

"such an idiot like you wouldn't understand me."

"are you really serious?!" rheyne just mess his hair and massage his temple, but not long after, he just let out a long sigh. "well, anyway, let's just leave here, is there some places we can hide?"

Rohan simply keeps swiping in the air while focusing on the screen and writes as a five holographic screen appears in front of them with some imagined bar graphs, line graphs, and forest structure... until a few minutes later..

"there is, You can find a little cave hidden beneath a wisteria tree 300 meters from this location. " He then added to his brother, "I already verified what's inside, and there are no wild animals, we can hide there." before closing the holographic screen as it transforms into a regular ring.

This ring was created by the Cullen family's technology business, but Rohan himself proposed it to Crystalle. This technology has not yet been released to the world; it is a new gadget. Rohan developed the formula for this ring in addition to experimenting with it himself. Rohan used prototypes to conduct his research and gather his own advantages. After this, he has to report to Crystalle about the advantages and disadvantages of the gadgets he used, as well as any improvements needed.

"let's go then." rheyne said before took a pink cube necklace that he was wearing as it turns into hoverboard that is similar to rohan, meanwhile, rohan just press something beneath of his hoverboard and reduce the speed slightly, in just a flash they already near at the cave where they decided to hide for the time being.

on the one hand, Deep within the cave, you can hear the water dripping from the ceiling. There are a few grasses on the ground and some wisteria flowers, but what interests you the most is a white fennec fox in the centre with shackled legs and hands. It have a bushy tail with black tips, and its eyes are lifeless and gold as if it hadn't eaten in almost a decade.

however, this fox is not an ordinary one, after all, this was the unprecedented being that were sealed in the jaded woods, he is one of the most important figures of netherworld!

'phew! we're safe!'

'we're not.. jotaro was just near to us.'

suddenly, The fox opened his golden eyes when he heard voices coming from people, and just as he was about to stand up, he gasped when he smelled a sweet scent that he hadn't smelled in almost two decades. This scent is so sweet that it would cause even the reaper or an angel's nose to twitch, making you lose control. Its blood smells like lambrusco red wine, and its corrupted soul is comparable to a decadent dessert that makes you lose all sense of reason. His golden eyes get red simply thinking about it, making him look like a starving animal who hasn't eaten in over a century.

(A/N: Lambrusco is a red sparkling wine with a color that varies with the style. While some are a deep purply red, others are as light as rosé. )

'this..' he thought, then he saw two young man that is 100 meters away from him, they have a purple hair and their face were completely similar to each other if not only because of the color of their eyes and on how their expression shows.

his gaze landed on the young man that has a purple eyes, which is none other than rohan and there's only one thing that appear on the mysterious fox mind..

'ah, I want him' he said to himself..

meanwhile, When Rheyne and Rohan entered the cave, he simply stepped their feet on the ground as the hoverboard they were riding on turned into an ordinary purple and pink cube necklace. Rohan sighed and leaned against the stone before starting to open his ring again, but this time, only one holographic screen had appeared, showing Jotaro's movements and how far he was from them.

"he isn't near to us for now, but we didn't know what are his abilities, therefore let's make some escape plan first incase if he manage to reach us here." Rohan said to his twin While swiping the air, This time another screen appears Infront, it is a map of jaded woods. He pressed the southern part of the forest but gasped when he noticed that there were three red dots there instead of two, so he just pressed it as it turned into 3D and there he saw one familiar student— it's none other than Rufus!

"damn.. why are they keep going on the southern part of the forest?! this place is filled with wild animals you know!" he hissed like a cat, so rheyne just give him a twitching smile.

"calm down, rufus and fynn were still at the entrance of southern part of the forest, we should worry jotaro first."

"got it, got it.. tsk. well anyway, let's take a little bit rest first, then after that, we will fly to northern part of the forest.. which is here." rohan use his two fingers to enlarged their 3D map before press the northern part of the forest, there were only 2 blue dots in there, which symbolize TAG.

"but why the northern part..?"

"Since it is the safest route from the other sections of the forest, and nobody would think that we were in the northern part of the forest since this is where we started. We couldn't travel in the western part either because this is an area loaded with traps. in the center portion, it is a big-no!

The area in the center is full of mountains and caves, and knowing Crystalle, she may be hiding there. Camping on top of mountains will also give her a chance to survive because she can use the traps that were set there to thwart the IT's if she is discovered by them, and using the caves would be helpful to her to fool the IT's just by entering each cave. To be completely honest, I also recommend this location, although, Devian is someone I wish to avoid! I don't want to get mixed up in their arguments since Devian will undoubtedly follow her. Whenever they spar, it seems as if the world is already coming to an end!"

"sounds rough huh?" rheyne replied to his pouting brother casually, he then point the eastern part of the forest.

"what about the eastern part?"

as for the eastern part.. It is a place with a lots of lake and falls, it is a peaceful place but there were only a few hiding spots here.." suddenly, rheyne smiled to him.

He winked at Rohan, saying, "then why don't we just go to the eastern part? the lesser the hiding spots, the higher the chance we survive, isn't it? if there is really a few hiding spots in the eastern part of the forest, then it's just means that, it might be located to some secret place," but Rohan continued to maintain his poker face, so Rheyne couldn't help but face palm.

"really, just tell me if you're agree or not."

"all right, all right, then it's decided, we will go to the eastern part." in the end, Rohan simply nodded in agreement with him, and Rheyne grinned broadly at him until.. For some reason, he looks thoughtfully into the depths of the cave before turning to see Rohan still fiddling with his holographic loptop and swiping in the air. Rheyne sighs and gets to his feet as he puts his hands behind his head.

"I'll be the look-up on the outside." rohan then glance at him with confuse expression but soon after he just nods.

"all right."

as soon as rheyne heard his twin's replies, he smirk and give him eerie and creepy expression, so the corner of rohan's lips just twitched.

"Fufufu~ don't wander around the cave rohan! there is this a rumor about a demon being sealed within the depths of this caves! they said that whenever it's howling, he's also extracting the souls of those living human that is near from him, if you don't be careful.. you might get eaten as well.. you have a tainted soul after all~"

"Just fuckin' get out of here! and demons aren't even real! where the hell is your brain, brother? besides.. you have the most tainted soul here!"

"hahahaha! I'm just joking, just joking! furthermore.." rheyne give his twin another wide smirk while closing his eyes, "even if a demon were to eat you, they will immediately spit you out, I mean, you are way too more wicked and demon than them!hahaha!"

that makes rohan felt an annoyance to his twin before cited this world in cold manner. "Just. get. out."

"errmm.. y-yeah, sorry, haha." he just laugh awkwardly to rohan before run outside, meanwhile, rohan let out another sigh before leaned his back against the stone while looking above.

"the hell is wrong with him..? seriously!"

nevertheless, This no longer surprised Rohan because, even as a young child, he had always thought of his brother as being a little odd. They spent nearly five years living in America because of Rohan's heart condition, which caused a significant distance between them and required him to have numerous surgeries and frequently stay in the hospital due to his weak heart. though, he was entirely healed by the time he reached 7, but even in that case, the obstruction that continues to try to prevent their closure remained.

in the eyes of rohan, Although he needed to keep Rheyne away from his twins since he was a terrible influence, no matter how hard he tries to do so, the two of them continue to grow closer. And when they turned nine, they really started to resemble real twins and developed a close bond with one another. It was also at this point that they returned to England, where they met Crystalle, a friend they chose to cherish for the rest of their lives.

but.. When both of them were twelve, a terrible event occurred to the crystalle family, her parents were brutally murdered by the black butterfly organization. The only thing left in her heart was anguish, vengeance, and madness, and even her compassion that could alter even the most evil person into a different way of life has become the most fearsome and influential weapon ever made in history.

this was also the reason why rohan and rheyne changes, it's as if they lose hope to the world by the time when crystalle's parents died. then when they became a freshman, around when they turn 14 years old, crystalle re-established the old organization that her father give to her when they died.

that time.. was also the very first time that rohan killed a people.

During the time when Rohan was returning from school, a group of troublemakers lured him and beat him up, when they laughed at him and mentioned the death of crystalle's parents, he stabbed each of their necks with a ballpoint pen he was holding, releasing all of his anger towards the organisation which killed crystalle's parents.

and rheyne, who was supposed to assist him, felt fear when he saw his twin covered in blood, 'especially when he saw him smiling. At that point, Rohan made a ridiculous vow to himself, which has continued to haunt Rheyne up to this point. When rheyne thought back on those dejected laughter and the profanities that kept spilling out of his mouth, he couldn't help but have nightmares as a result, and the only thing he could do at the time was to answer 'yes' which he regretted the most.

'I see.. I just notice just now but this world is truly a rotten place to live..'

'w-what are you saying, rohan?! you just killed three people! this is equivalent to serial murder! you might get imprisoned if someone find this out! and our family will be in danger!'

'ah, yes.. our family is quite an influential right? heh.. I have a wealth, a power, an authority, and good reputation.. mother is well-known from entertainment industry, and father is the CEO of gaming company.. and elyze, she will be graduating as magna cum laude next year.. and the business that she inherit to them have started to grow now..'

'w-what the hell are you saying?! get hold of yourself! we have to clean this mess before—!'

'I swear.. I swear to god, brother.. he will pay for this! the black butterfly organization who killed aunt Christina and uncle alois.. I'm going to hunt them down even in the depths of hell! they are the reason why.. why we became like this!'

'rohan..'

thus, Rohan made a self-promise at that time to haunt the black butterfly no matter how long it took. Rohan was the one who was most impacted out of all people who were hurt by the death of Crystalle's parents and out of all the people who valued Crystalle so much. It was crystalle itself that unchained him and unlocked the gate for him during his entire childhood imprisonment inside of the hospital after all. which is why he would never be able to forgive those who tried to touch his "savior."

When Rohan and his twin joined Phantom's The Knight, he purposefully avoided becoming attached to Crystalle and pretended that he was only there for fun or to be with his twin. However, in reality, he was the one who most wanted to kill the Black Butterfly Organization and torture its members until they lost the ability to flap their lovely wings.

and the only person who knows his real intention is none other than his twin.

In order to make it seem plausible that joining Phantom's Knight was just for fun, he continued to pursue pleasure, amusement, and entertainment while hiding his true intention from the others and even from Crystalle up to this point.

going back to rohan, Another screen appeared in front of him as he raised his right hand, and there he saw a red butterfly symbol in the center of the screen. He simply pressed the butterfly and ten codenames and their information about their combat abilities appeared. Rohan gave it a quick glance while maintaining his poker face.

"if only I could eliminate.. the 10 black lambs of black butterfly organization easily just by snapping my finger just like in games."

by the time he said those words, the mysterious fox heard it, so a grin formed from his lips and whispered in the air, enough for rohan hears.

'Do you wish a power, human?'

When he first heard the soothing voice coming from his ears, Rohan felt as though he had been struck by lightning. He looked around and then fixed his gaze on the depth of the cave before getting to his feet.

"Who are you..?"
