The Destiny Of Angel Jay

A young girl came running to her friends. She was out of breath, given the fact that she had run outside. She glanced at her friends, ready to complain at them as she always does. Her name is Sarah Kato.

" Our English teacher gives a lot of homework like always. I wonder how I'm going to finish all of it at once".

Waiting for her outside, there were two other young girls. One of the two said to her with the kindest smile ever as a way to comfort her. Her name is Anna Shivam.

" Don't exaggerate! It's not that much. Let's do it together like we always have!"

" Okay!" She nodded.

" What about you? Are you coming with us, or are you going with you know who to do your homework like you always do?" Anna questioned the girl beside her.

The young girl whom the question was asked to was the last remaining one in the group. Together with Sarah Kato and Anna Shivam, they are best friends. Her name is Angelica Higurashi.

" Yes!"

" You two make the perfect couple. You're always together. Francois Shan loves you a lot". Said Sarah.

" You've known each other since Kindergarten, am I right?" Anna asked inquisitively.

" Yes! That's correct! We've been friends and when he asked me out, I said yes!" I answered back at Anna.

" Do you love him? Do you have feelings for him?" Asked Sarah inquisitively.

" I do love him, but not romantically. I'm sure one day, I will be able to fall in love with him". I replied to Sarah.

" What if you don't? What will you do?" Anna asked inquisitively.

" Don't say that! That won't happen and besides, I'm not interested in any other boy at the school". I said to Anna.

" Maybe that's because you haven't met him yet!" Anna said.

" Stop saying that! Francois is a good guy. I know I can fall in love with him". I replied.

" Are you girls talking about me?"

A quite good-looking young man appeared. His name is Francois Shan and he's Angelica's boyfriend.

" Hi, Francois!" Sarah greeted him happily.

" Hello, Francois!" Anna greeted him happily as well.

" Hi!" I greeted him with a simple hand gesture.

" We were just saying how amazing you are, isn't that right, Angelica?" Sarah asked me inquisitively.

" Stop it, Sarah! We're going home! Are you coming with us?" I said while glancing at Francois.

" I would have loved to walk home with you, but I can't. I have club activities". Francois replied sadly.

" I understand! Don't push yourself too hard! I'll see you tomorrow! Let's go, girls!" I said with a tone of disappointment.

A few hours later!

Higurashi Residence

Boom! Boom! Boom!

" What is it? A boomerang? I better go and see where this noise was coming from". I said, panicked.

I went over and opened the door to check where the noise was coming from when I witnessed something falling straight from the sky. I saw something round, like a ball, surrounded by blue light, acting as a shield. The blue light faded away, giving place to a young man with light blue hair on the ground. I was so shocked by the scene I just witnessed that I stood there surprisingly. I decided to approach him nonetheless despite my state of confusion.

" A young man! A boy fell from the sky! Is that even possible? He's unconscious! I'll take him inside. I wonder what happened to him. He fell just at my doorstep. Who are you and why do you look so sad?" I crouched on the ground.

While observing him closely, I noticed his injuries. He was deeply wounded. He would have died if that blue light hadn't protected him from the crash.

" I should take him inside to tend to his injuries". I said as I lifted and brought him inside the house.

3 hours later!

" Where am I?" Said the young man as he opened his eyes.

" You're finally awake! Have you slept well?" I said worriedly.

" Where am I?"

The young man looked around disoriented as he didn't recognize where he was. Angelica replied to him to ease his confusion.

" You're at my house. You fell from the sky. I found you at my doorstep bleeding, so I brought you inside and took care of your injuries".

" You took care of my injuries! Does that mean you touched me?" The young man asked worriedly.

" Yes, I did! There was no other way to treat you. Have I done something wrong?" I asked.

" No! Thanks for taking care of me! I will be leaving now!" He said as he stood up.

" You're not going anywhere! You're injured!" I spoke out with concern in my tone.

" I don't want to be a bother. I will be fine on my own". He said.

" I can't let you go! If I let you wonder by yourself, where will you go? You don't know anyone around here". I said with a worried tone.

" I will be fine. You don't have to worry about me. I will be a bother if I stay here". He replied.

" You won't be a bother! Stay here as long as you like!" I said suggestively.

" I can't!" He denied.

" I see! You won't listen to me. Alright, you may go but before you go, tell me your name". I asked him inquisitively.

He turned around in my direction and said: " Angel! Angel Jay!"

" I'm Angelica! Angelica Higurashi!" I said to return the politeness.

" Thanks a lot for taking care of me and everything". He said thankfully.

" You don't have to thank me! Take care of yourself!" I replied.

" I will!". That was all he said as he walked out of my house.

( I'm sure we'll meet again! Why did he refuse to stay here? He had the same expression when I found him. The same sad face. He looked like he couldn't trust anyone in the whole wide world. He's lonely! I wonder why I can't stand leaving him like this).

The next day

Fukuoka Daiichi High School

" Good morning, Angelica!" Sarah greeted me happily.

" Hi, Angelica!" Anna greeted me happily.

" Hi, girls!" I greeted them worriedly.

" What's wrong, Angelica? You seem down!" Sarah asked as she analyzed my expression.

" She's right! I never saw you like this. Did something happen? You can talk to us. We're your friends. Tell us what's bothering you?" Anna asked me with a concerned look.

" Nothing wrong! Let's get going or we're going to be late!" I replied.

" No! You can't go to class in that state. You won't be able to concentrate anyways. Tell us what's wrong?" Sarah asked me worriedly.

" Don't you trust us?" Asked Anna sadly.

Don't say that! You know me better than I know myself. You're my BFFs. It's just that, even if I told you what's bothering me, you won't believe it". I replied to the girls.

" We'll believe it!" Said Sarah, and Anna as they nodded in unison.

( Sarah and Anna are my BFFs. We've known each other since grade school and we've always been together and supporting each other as true sisters. Sarah and Anna have some feature similarities, but I'm always able to tell them apart from one another. We share a strong and unbreakable bond. I'm never bored when I'm in their company).

" Okay then, I'll tell you!" I said confidently.

...

" Yesterday, I heard a noise coming from my doorstep. When I went to see what it was, I saw something falling from the sky. When I got closer, I realized it was a young man who crashed at my doorstep. I brought him inside and took care of his injuries. As soon as he woke up, he left. I told him to stay until his wounds were fully healed, but he refused and left. I wonder where he went off to. He doesn't know anyone around here". I summarized the situation to them.

" I see! You're worried about that young man if I'm not mistaken". Asked Sarah.

...

" It would be better if you don't tell Francois about this". Said Sarah.

" Why not?" I asked as I looked at them confusedly.

" Think about it for a minute! If you tell him that a young man fell from the sky and crashed at your doorstep and to top it off, that you took care of his wounds, he would get extremely jealous". Sarah said affirmatively.

" Jealous! There's nothing to get jealous over". I said as a response.

" I agree with Sarah! Don't say anything to Francois!" Said Anna insistently.

" Whatever! Now, let's get going!" I said, stepping inside the school.

" Yes!" Sarah and Anna nodded in agreement.

...

" Hi, Angelica!" Francois greeted me as soon as he saw me. He greeted me with the brightest smile ever.

" Hi, Francois!" I greeted him back.

I was still in a daze regarding the events of last night. I was reminiscing about that young man as he was gravely wounded.

" Are you feeling okay, Angelica? Do you want me to bring you to the infirmary?" Asked Francois worriedly.

" I'm fine! Don't worry! I'm very lucky to have you by my side". I said, fainting a smile.

" Don't say that! I'm the luckiest one. I'll do anything for you". Said Francois happily.

" I know that! I know you'll always be by my side no matter what. I know that already!" I said as a response.

" I love you!" Said Francois as he professed his feelings to me.

" I know!"

With that, we parted ways and went to our respective classes. Our homeroom teacher came in and introduced herself as Dorothy Asau. After her introduction, she asked us to do the same which we did gladly. She explained the modules to us and what her expectations of us are when the bell rang, putting the class to a close.

" That's all for today! See you all, tomorrow!"

The teacher waved goodbye to us before walking out of the classroom.

( I wonder where he is and what he's doing).

Fukuoka Daiichi High School Exit

( I won't trust anyone ever again. I won't let them get close to me. I have to get as far as I can from them).

" Angelica, you're coming?" Asked Sarah.

" Go on ahead! I'm coming!" I said.

" Don't take too long! We'll wait for you". Said Anna.

" I won't be taking long!" I told them as I walked away.

...

" I hope she doesn't have the intention of telling Francois about that young man". Anna said worriedly.

" Let's hope it's not the case!" Sarah said in agreement.

...

" Francois!" I interpellated him.

He stopped in his tracks and said before I had time to react:" Angelica! I'm sorry! I won't be able to walk home with you today as well. I'm very sorry!"

" What are you apologizing for? It's not your fault! I understand! Just, don't push yourself! See you tomorrow!" I said, turning back to leave.

" Was that all you wanted to say to me? Is there anything else you wanted to talk about?" Asked Francois disappointed.

" No, nothing else! See you!" I said, waving goodbye to Francois.

" You're hiding something from me. What are you hiding from me?" Francois talked to himself.

Meanwhile-------------------

" Who is this young man?" Said Sarah to Anna.

"What young man?" Anna asked in confusion.

" The one over there!" Sarah said, pointing in a precise direction.

Anna finally noticed the young man thanks to Sarah's indication and they approached him.

" Hey! Who are you? Are you lost? Can we help you?" Anna asked inquisitively.

" Stay away from me! Don't come any closer! Stay away!" He said as he walked backward.

" What's wrong? We just want to help!" Asked Sarah worriedly.

" Stay away!" He shouted.

As they were trying to figure out what was wrong with him, Angelica showed up.

" Sorry girls! I'm late! What's wrong?" I asked the girls inquisitively.

" It's that young man over there! It looked like he's scared of us". Said Anna as she pointed in his direction.

" Scared!" I asked.

" Yes, he's frightened!" Sarah replied.

I glanced at him and our eyes met. As I looked at him closely, I recognized him. All the events of last night came crashing down.

" It's you!" I said with stupefaction.
