1 Goodbye World!

"Ally," Woon Young slap lightly at her best friend's shoulder. "Are you listening to me or not?" Woon Young stares at her worriedly as Ally awakens from her daydreaming. 'This friend really pitiful enough and yet having this kind of life sometimes makes me think if there is really god!' Woon Young has been staring at Ally quite sometimes now and she looks not very good. Woon Young exhale a sad sigh silently as she looks away painfully. Ally looks exhausted but she managed to smile back to her friend.

"Sorry. I didn't hear that. What did you say?" Ally turned to her best friend before Woon Young stood up abruptly and heading to the kitchen.

"I'm going to set out work early tomorrow. Can you.."

"Alright. I understand. Don't worry. I can go to myself." Ally cut her mid-sentence. She was aware Woon Young begin to go work early since two months ago after meeting that good looking vet, William. Ally was happy for her best friend progress in love chapter of course. Although a sad and heavy feeling always weighing her heart thinking that Woon Young should be with Julian. They were such a sweet couple after all. But mentioning Julian name in front of Woon Young was not a good thing to do. Or she will end up shedding tears which Ally has been trying to avoid after a few attempts to sweet-talk her about getting back to Julian.

"Remember never walking to work, Ally." Woon Young warned Ally. The recent scare maybe not targeting her but no harms to be more careful in advance. "We'll never know when our luck went thin."

"It...It was obviously some stupid prank by those punks." Ally paled and close her eyes in anguish with the bloody memory of those poor kittens. Ally covers her face with her shaky hands. 'Poor little kittens.' Her tears fall down her cheeks.

"You knew that was not purely an accident!" Woon Young swing back towards Ally regrets getting mad at her friend now striding over to Ally. "There...there. I'm sorry." She hugs Ally as she rubs her back to comfort her. She was mad at Ally for not listening to her warning not to bring or feed any stray animals to the clinic or outside the clinic. Woon Young always consider her more than just her best friend but she can't even protect her let alone keep her words to Julian. 'Precious little sister.' "Let's go to sleep now. Don't overthink about it. It's not your fault. Remember that, alright." Ally nodded her head and she sniffed off her tears as Woon Young let her go. Ally knew Woon Young will stand there whole night if she has not entered her own bedroom. 'Although I am terrified to go sleep.' Ally clench her fists.

"Goodnight," Ally said over her shoulder. "And thank you very much for all these years. I am very grateful to have you as my best friend. Although.." Ally swallow hard her tears before she continues "Although you didn't end up as my sister in law." 'Goodbye, my friend.' Ally walks away.

Woon Young was unable to respond to her words as sorrow engulf her heart and weakens her knees to drop to the sofa.

"Good morning, ladies!"

"Good morning, Henri. What brings you here this afternoon?"

"I have an appointment with Allyson this morning but I missed it."

"I'm afraid I don't have your name here."

"Hey, have mercy on him, Lisa nim. Poor him. He just missed our Dr Ally."

"Hehe... Thank you for your sweet words, Maya Ssi." Henri wink at her sweetly only create a burst out whispering among the receptionists. "Here, help yourself. I passed by the bakery and decided to treat you all." Another exciting response from the women.

Henri is William's cousin. And since William and Woon Young are currently dating, the couple decided to hook the two up. That leads to chaos every time he cames to visit Ally in the clinic. Even the patients started to encourage Henri to work harder to woo Dr Allyson. Lisa shook her head in annoyance. 'What a nuisance.'

"She's not here," Lisa spoke crossing her arms. "But, you can wait for her inside."

"Alright. Thanks, Lisa," Henri smiled at the ladies and head to Ally's office. "I just saw William's car outside. Is he here?"

"No. And our lady boss just left for an early lunch break," Lisa explained. "Let me inform Ally you're here." Lisa knew Henri currently pursuing Ally but she not really into a relationship right now. What was Woon Young thinking? She might not really know about Ally compared to Woon Young who has been friend with Ally since high school, but she knew Ally reluctantly entertain Henri every time he comes to visit.

For the past two years with Ally, she knew Ally is a pitiful woman. Tragic past had hit her hard and helpless. Just yesterday, she overheard a conversation between Woon Young, the famous professor of psychology; Dr Song Kee Way from the University of S and Woon Young's Senior; Dr Chang Mei Yen working with Dr Song while pursuing her PhD in psychology.

It did not sound good at all. The result of the treatments was not encouragingly satisfying at all. Even the sleeping pills were not the ultimate answer to those chronic insomnia Ally were having or not even relieve any of the nightmares. Woon Young once accidentally spoke about how scared she was when Ally yelling and crying in her sleep. Sometimes calling out little Angelo's name. Lisa close her eyes in anguish and yet get a glimpse of a shadow not far from the office ajar door. It was Ally. She looks devastated. Her eyes were red with tears before she disappeared into her own office quietly. Lisa was unable to inform Woon Young about it and yet afraid to seek Ally about what she heard yesterday.

"Ally?" Lisa knocked on the door of the surgery room. "Where's Dr Allyson?" Lisa was surprised to see only Ally's assistant was there working on the stock counting.

"She told me she was going out to do something. She promised to be back soon." Miss Chu Lin replied and continue her works.

"Thanks," Lisa still unable to believe that Ally went out without telling her. Ally always informs her if she going out somewhere far or close by. "Oh, by the way, Henri just arrived and he bought some snacks for you all. You should get some for a tea break."

"Really! Oh, so exciting." Miss Chu Lin dropped her works and run off to the pantry to join with the tea break. "Thank you, Henri Ssi!" Leaving Lisa sitting on Ally's chair alone. Henri waves the girl happily. Lisa was staring at the empty, clean desk thinking about the yesterday thing. Until she accidentally knocked off a patient's case file to the floor. Lisa picks up the case file and another piece of paper falls out. The content of the paper was not a simple letter but scripts notes of a farewell letter to Woon Young. Lisa covers her mouth with her shaky hands trying to suppress her voice while her tears rush shedding down both her cheeks. It gave her a goosebump. What is Ally really means? Saying goodbye and return to her own country or... or a suicide letter?! I need to find her ASAP.
