202 Chapter 131: Regrets from the Pasts

Chester enter the place that he usually visits, there's not a day that neither one of the family forget to visit it. Though they don't stay long unlike before but they make sure to visit.

Chester placed the basket on the table and took a sit on the chair beside the bed. He hold his son's hand and kiss it tenderly. "Hey my baby, Sorry if Mom hasn't been visiting you as frequent as before. Your siblings needs lots of rest inside Mommies womb. Why don't you open your eyes already so you can meet your sister and you soon twin brothers?"

A knock on the door caught Chester's attention, he wiped his tears away. He worries that it might be his husband and if Terrence would see him cry the later will surely worry about him again.

"Come in." Chester said, the door opened and the teenager son of Nicholas entered. Chester gave the child a warm smile, if it is his husband or his sons are both in the room, he's sure that they will chase Zay away.

"Mom, I thought it was Dad and brother are the one who's in here." The child politely said which made Chester laugh. After the nonstop of visiting of Zay to his son for almost 2 years the child start calling them as mother and father which Terrence hates the most. Chester didn't take Zay's feelings towards Thirdy seriously with the 7 years age gap he knows that Zay's feelings might fade away but the more the time passes by the more the boy proves how deep his feelings are rooted even though it all start from a single glance of his child during their father's video call. Although Chester is already convinced he's still crossing his fingers specially now that Zay is already 15 years old, his body is slowly developing to be a man and the strong genes of his father and mother beautifully shows in his face. The boy is growing fast to the point he already surpassed Chester. According to Nick his son seems to be the school prince in the campus, there are a lot of men and female who wants to throw themselves at him and even Zeejay is trying to tease his son that at the same age he already bedded a lot of omegas and female alphas, of course Nick didn't let him sleep in their room for a week.

"No it's just me. Sit here" Chester stopped reminiscing the past and answered Zay's question.

"Zay don't you think it's time to stop waiting for my son?" Chester asked. "You're young and handsome, you can easily find someone beautiful."

Zay hold Thirdy's hand. "Mom, I witnessed how my mother cried everyday looking at the photo of my good for nothing father. Since then I promised myself to never play at someone's heart and to love one person at the same time. Thirdy is so young when I first saw him. Who can fall for a child that is barely 5? And me on the other hand who's just 13. I thought at first that it was just a simple crush but as time goes by, it's growing more and more. I don't know if what I feel is really love, it might change as I grow and it might not, but right now I know clearly in my heart that I love him. If I fall for someone else I'll let you know. I'm not closing the possibilities but right now he is the only one who this heart beats for." Zay trace the face of Thirdy.

"I'll be counting on you for that." Chester said smiling at the boy.

"But if my feelings won't change please give me the authority to take care of him."

"He might never wake up Zay, that's why I'm giving you a way out incase you decide you no longer wants to then you can walk away anytime."

"If my feelings wont change after I turned 20 please give me the permission to take care of him for the rest of my life or his life." Zay asked again.

"You love him that much?" Chester asked. "My son would only be 13 by then."

"I won't touch him ever, you can be assured of that." Zay said like he's already asking for Thirdy's hand in marriage.

"My son is very lucky to have you." Chester sighed, he wished he could see how Zay would treat Thirdy if he's well and playing.

"He's very pretty, he's getting prettier as the time passes by. No one can even match up to this beauty." Chester laughed.

"He's still a child, he's just 8 Zay..."

"Yeah he's just starting to bloom and yet he's too much of a beauty to me." Chester can see the love in that boy's eyes as he looks at his son who's asleep peacefully. It somehow makes Chester happy and at ease that someone loves his son at a very young age. He hopes that Zay's love for Thirdy won't fade nor won't waiver.

"I'll try my best to give him the life he deserves, I'll work really hard." Zay whispered.

"Don't be in too much of a hurry, I heard from your mother that at your age you are already in the University. I know you're IQ is above than normal but I think it won't hurt to take the step by step process of growing up." Chester said.

"I bet Uno and Dos are dying to jump to a much higher level of the education. Mom, I will need to have more time to establish and build myself, I don't want to waste time. I want to be able to provide for him."

"I know I told you about this earlier but what if my son never wakes up?" Chester asked.

"Then I'll still take care of him, I just want to have him, I want him to be mine. I know Dad and your two sons are all against this but regardless. I still want to."

Chester's tears drop, he never thought that his prayers were answered when he asked for someone to love his son just how much Terrence loves him. He was hoping for Thirdy not to go through the same thing he and all his Omega friends had been through but no matter how much he wanted to be happy for his son he knows he can't fully be happy. Thirdy is still asleep and there's a high chance that he might never wake up again."

"I just want to have a chance in taking care of him, even in that way I will be able to show my love for him."

Chester walk close to the boy and hold his hands. "Thank you for loving my son this much."

Sebastian knock to Lance's office but when he heard nothing he proceed in coming in, he already got used to it and he's the only person aside from his wife Aiden has the right to come in without Lance's permission. Sebastian walk inside towards Lance who's busy smiling while looking at his phone.

"You're acting like a sick puppy who's in love." Sebastian said with a straight face.

"They are interviewing my wife, he's so pretty." Sebastian raise his eye brow, he knows what Lance's talking about.

"Read and sign these papers, also I bet you wouldn't be happy once you learned that men are drooling at the Missus." Sebastian saw how Lance's goofy smiling face shifted to a child who's panicking.

"Fuck! What do they mean they want to date him? What sex with him! Fuck let me…"

"What are you doing?" Sebastian asked when he saw his Master type in angrily.

"Telling these fuckers that My love is already married to me!!!"

"Don't bother with them. They'll just use it to vex you——" Sebastian could no longer continue his words when Lance type in again angrily while mumbling.

"Who's husband? I'm his husband! Fuck they are now claiming that they are his husbands."

Lance is so busy answering back to those commentators when he heard from his phone the voice of his wife. )Love, stopped fighting them and answering back to them…. And yes to those of you asking in the comments I'm married.) Aiden laughed, when the reporter asked him how did he know that his husband is answering in live comments.

(Can we see your husband?) the reporter asked. Aiden opened his phone and showed the later Lance's photo and immediately the reporter became pale (No way, he's your husband?)

"Sir the foundation and the law firm that you and your wife established are now helping more and more people not to mention it's becoming more and more well known, aren't you afraid that others might take it the wrong way?" Sebastian asked.

It's true that after the incident with Victor, they have been sweeping black organizations that involves in engaging in exploitation of Omegas. Lance know that it's dangerous but Terrence is there and he believes in Terrence capabilities not to mention his wife Aiden's skills which obviously is much greater than his.

"If we stay silent and blinded by what's happening in front of us then people like them will continuously become the victim repeatedly. I'm actually glad and surprised that there are more companies who are willing to partner with us in giving them the work and livelihood to feed for themselves. If no one will stand up then who will?" Lance asked, he signed. He can't believe that it has been 1 year and 7 months since then, it brought peace to many but it destroyed the life and family of some of his friends.

ONE YEAR AND 7 MONTHS AGO...

Lance watched the news in the Television, it was like a wildfire that spread fast and covers a vast area in just a matter of seconds. He gripped tight of his left arm with his right arm to assure himself that what he's hearing from the Television is true.

"Love is this the right thing to do? What about his husband?" Lance asked.

"We have taken care of it. Jeffrey already gave the signal. He drug his own husband so he can go back without any problem." Aiden explained.

"So are we going to leave the Doctor there?" Lance asked.

"Jeffrey is on his way back and the moment he land he will be handcuffed. Just like how we planed it. About his husband, we can't afford risking this chance so we plan to transport him and hold him in a safe place. That's what Jeffrey asked from us."

And just like a cue after Aiden said that Jeffrey came out off the Airport with hands that are both cuffed.

They leaked Jeffrey's files which includes all the transactions, it drags the name of Victor and his father Vladimir. Jeffrey exposed the truth about the children brought to be trained assassins. The fire that killed many children including Nelson, all the VIP Clubs and the high ranking auctions for Omegas only to be sold to VIP's. Jeffrey even dropped the names of those VIP clients that has been buying teenager Omegas that haven't been touched, even the illegal organ harvesting that they do to those commodities that are not deemed usable nor profitable. It shocked the whole country and even Aiden nor Axel were all surprised when Jeffrey put everything to light. Axel has no idea how deep and wide the illegal businesses that the Witchburns are running. Right there and then they all new Jeffrey wouldn't be able to plead not guilty with all the things he saw that was exposed like a bomb.

Victor went into hiding and only his mother remained that the authorities questioned but since her name wasn't involved the authorities can't really hold her for custody. Jeffrey was sent behind bars, the omega was angry that Victor somehow slipped together with Raven, Jeffrey was thinking that it was Raven who's hiding Victor. Jeffrey wanted to get out of the Jail to look for both of them and killed them with his own two hands but after he had exposed the truth he was put under a tight security, not even a window in his cell. It was completely shut off.

Immediately all the places told in Jeffrey's confession that can be considered as the biggest whistle that has been blown in the history of their country were visited by the different sectors of authority and defense of the country. The illegal fire arms factory, the widest and biggest Omega trafficking and prostitution and many more. Some where able to pack and left all those place but mostly were caught.

On the first week Aiden tried to visit Jeffrey but they weren't given the permission to do so even with Terrence influence. The crime was too big to let someone Jeffrey talked to anyone. Henry begs them almost everyday that Lance and the rest of them pity the Doctor. They can't expose Henry so the lock him to Aiden's house. Jeffrey begged them to only let Henry go when things are already settled. He doesn't want anyone to know that Henry and him are both married. Just like what Jeffrey predicted, the whole country hated him, they are condemning him but the only thing that he's wrong is when he thought that even Henry would hate him after knowing the whole truth. Lance looked at the Doctor that time, the love that he has for Jeffrey didn't change. The man loves Jeffrey even when the whole country wants his beloved wife dead.

"Love?" Aiden's voice brought Lance back to the reality…. Far from thebig mess of that memories that feels so palpable. It seems Aiden's engagement for this day is over that's why his wife is back early which he's really thankful.

"Do you think we have done the right time during that time?" Lance asked.

Aiden walked towards husband and hugged him. "I don't know, we have lost so many and yet we won't be able to win and save more people. I sometimes question myself if what we did is right, if listening to Jeffrey is right. Whenever I see his husband drowning himself to help others, I know he's doing it because it eases the pain of losing Jeffrey and their child. He's obligated to continuously live through that pain because he promised Jeffrey. He refused to remove the wedding ring and still tells people that his married to Jeffrey Choi. Jules is like a lost puppy, he's destroying his life as we speak all because of Axel, losing Axel was not part of the plan unlike Jeffrey….."

"But in this kind of world we all know that it is inevitable." Lance continued what Aiden was about to say.

"I'll do the same thing that Axel did, if it means saving you." Aiden quickly respond to what Lance just said.

"Then just kill me as well, I don't want to be put in the same situation as they are right now."

"I know that's why I have to be strong. I don't want you to suffer. You know how much I love you."

"I know." Lance hugged Aiden tightly.

"How about Lee?" Aiden asked.

"We can't still find him." Lance sadly said.

"It has been a month and right now we are just hoping to retrieve the body." Lance added.

"I tried to talk to Dexter but I think he was still in shock. The first 3 weeks he didn't rest and helped in finding his husband but there are no longer survivors that can be found only the remains of those who died." Aiden said.

"They already read Lee's will." Lance said

"What?!" Aiden pulled out from the hug of his husband. "There's a will?" Aiden asked.

"Yes, it seems like Lee drafted a will from when Dexter gave birth to Lexter. Both have signed a prenuptial agreement out of Dexter's request but Lee wanted that prenup to be void so he made a will. Apparently Lee left everything to Dexter and some money for their son Lexter but everything that Lee owns is now owned by Dexter, even the position of the company's Vice President." Lance explained. "I don't want to think it this way but I think this is Dexter's karma. I don't want to invalidate his feelings as the mother/father of their child but it wasn't Lee's fault entirely that they lost the baby it was an accident." Lance added.

Aiden closed his eyes and in his head he replayed the scene of what happened that tear Lee's family apart A year and seven months ago.

Everyone knows that Dexter is very protective of Lee and in that crucial moment Dexter decided to step out which they completely understand. Dexter still offers them his help remotely and his reason was he doesn't want to gamble the baby's safety and his family's safety. Dexter is smart and very calculative, his protruding tummy makes it difficult for him to

fight and protect anyone unless he's in his fortress where he has an advantage to protect everyone including Rion. Terrence brother gave Rion back to the Shuns together with Terrence brother's children. Dexter's house is like an impenetrable fortress and they know everyone who can't fight will be safe there but the problem was Lee. Lee has always have a soft spot for his friends. He always offers them his help and when Jules got abducted Lee helped fight the abductors and ended up getting caught in the middle of the mess. Dexter as a loving husband went out to join them in rescuing them. There were two teams workinh at that time, Him, Dexter and Terrence to rescue both Lee and Jules. Axel, Rob, Nick and Chester were in charge in breaking in to the prison to help Jeffrey escaped. Aiden sighed he can still hear Dexter's scream when he instinctively shielded Lee from getting shot. Dexter was shot to his thigh but it didn't end there. Him and Terrence where able to get Lee and Jules out of that Yacht but they left Dexter. They were surrounded and they have no choice but to jumped. Lee doesn't want to go and was crying and wanted to swim back to the see again. They promised Lee that they will get Dexter back. Aiden managed to put a tracking device to the yacht plus the fact that Dexter himself has a tracker. This is also the reason how they managed to track the yacht is because Lee also has one, but if Aiden could turn back the time he wished that they have rescued Dexter faster or that he should have left behind. When they found Dexter in the warehouse in the middle of the forrest when the bloody encountered happened between everyone, he was no longer himself. Victor found a doctor to cut open Dexter to take out the baby in front of him. They left the lifeless baby in front of him in a tight close cell for days. The smell of blood and the smell of decaying flesh filled the room but Dexter was just staring at the baby who he's holding to his arms. The baby's body was already dark an indication that it starting to decay. Lee wailed as he saw what happened to his husband and their child. Everyone who saw cried. Dexter gone crazy for months and it took them almost a year before he finally got to be himself or so they thought. Dexter became quite. He start avoiding kids even Lexter who he always love. He despised Lee, the man who he truly loves and became a completely different person.

"Should we visit Dexter? Do you think he's ready to see us? To see me?" Aiden asked.

"I don't know but more than anything he needs a friend, a family. We can't let this hatred to keep on circling us families. Lee's family is blaming Dexter now for the accident, maybe if you can talk to Lee's mother and father they will he able to understand." Lance kissed the top of Aiden's head.

Dexter didn't cry when he heard that Lee's plane crashed. He told himself that he shouldn't cry because Lee might still be alive somewhere but it seems like hope is slowly slipping away as he looked at the funeral service in front of him, with Lee's photos and flowers everywhere. His friends and family giving their eulogy and goodbyes to Lee. Dexter didn't gave his eulogy, he was just staring the whole time into an empty space and when everyone was gone and it was just him and his husband's family are the ones who are left in the house that Lee built for him, Rebecca invited him to the living room. Dexter felt like he is not himself as he followed and sit at the couch.

"I'm sorry for all the things I have said or if I ever hurt you. I'm a mother as well and losing my child hurts me deeply but I shouldn't have channeled all my frustrations and anger to you." Rebecca said holding back the tears.

"My son already made the decision, like what the lawyer told you everything that my son owns is yours. If you decided to get married or if you want to house someone or maybe invite someone in your home feel free, I won't stop you." Rebecca caress his face lightly. "Lee is gone now, you don't hold any responsibility towards your marriage with him. You are free now. If you don't want to take care of Lexter we can take care of——-"

"No! Not my son, please he's the only one I have got." The tears that won't come for a month are racing down from Dexter's eyes. "He's the only one where I can see Lee. Please don't take him away from me."

Rebecca hold Dexter's hands. "Dexter son, I know even when my son is not saying anything. I know what is happening inside this house. You can find an alpha woman or omega and built a new family with them but it Lexter is with you they will question you, they will question the mother or the father. Lexter will make you remember Lee and the baby."

"No please, I'll take care of Lexter."

"Dexter son, you need help but you refused to seek help. How can you take care of your son if you can't even look at him for a long time?" Rebecca asked.

"I can, I can just please." Rebecca looked at one of the nannies who's taking care of Lexter and the nanny brought Lexter with her and gave the child to Rebecca. She handed Lexter to Dexter. Dexter tried to hold his son but it wasn't even a minute when he hurriedly gave the baby back to the nanny and run to throw up.

Rebecca followed Dexter and pat his back to help him ease the pain he's feeling. "Dexter son, I'm not taking your son away from you, I just want you to get better. You better seek help for you to properly take care of him but for the mean time Lexter will be with us. I won't stop you to be in a relationship or if you want to get married again. I'll even support you, to me you are like my son and I will always choose my children's happiness." Rebecca hugged Dexter before they went out. When everyone was out and the silence spread throughout the house that's when things starts to finally sink in that the family he built and protected are now gone. He didn't just lose the baby but in the process of grieving, rejecting and despising his own husband and neglecting his own child he lose all of them. Dexter went to their room and took one of Lee's shirt that are in the laundry room. He slept holding it and snipping the scent of his husband that he really hated. Dexter's life went by just like that the he didn't even noticed at more than a week had passed and all Lee's used clothes scattered inside their room. Dexter tried to find some more clothes of his husband. He hopes he could still find anything that has Lee's scent but there's no lingering scent anymore. Dexter got frustrated that he throw everything his hands touches and cried. He doesn't want to admit it but he misses Lee.

"Get up and eat. Your people begged me to come and look after you." Dexter opened his eyes to see his brother.

"Why are you here to gloat?" Dexter simply said. "You're right, I'm being punished for being unfaithful, for hurting my own husband and for putting all the blame to him. Lee is gone now." Dexter's voice cracked and tears start streaming again.

"Lee is gone but Lexter your son is still here. He needs a parent Dext. If Maica is here I know she'll scold you."

Dexter laughed. He remembers how Maica openly declared her hatred to him when she first caught him cheating on Lee. After that Maica fly out of the country and cut off all her communications with him. Maica before leaving told him that he will regret what he was doing someday and maybe they are all right because he's regretting it big time.

"Fix yourself. Go see some professionals. You need help Dexter. More than us you need help from the professionals, but Lee is gone now. I want to be with him." Dexter felt a sting on his face when the palm of his brother landed on his cheek.

"That was an accident!!! Whether the two of you are ok or not the accident will still going to happen!!!"

"Even if both of us are in good terms it won't change what I'm feeling right now! I would still want to be with him!"

"Then what about your child then?! Are you going to leave Lexter too?!"

"I don't want to leave Lexter, but Lee I thought I no longer love him but why does it hurt like this?" Dexter felt his brother hug him.

"I understand, I can truly understand but you have to move on, you have to move forward. You have a child to take care off, you have a company to run along with his brother." Dexter nodded. He heed to his brother's advice and took a consultation with Doctor Henry. Little by little Dexter stand up again it wasn't a process that an instant result but it made him see things in a different perspective and it gave him hope.

"Dexter son? What brings you here?" Rebecca asked.

"I just want to visit Lexter." Rebecca brought him to where Lexter is. His baby is playing and it made Dexter smile, although there are times when he can see his other baby but it wasn't as bad as it was.

"I heard that you are finally seeking help."

Rebecca asked.

"Yes it has been a month now Mom." Rebecca smiled at him.

"That's goo to hear, so are you ready to take my grandson home?" Rebecca asked.

"No Mom, I just came here to visit and besides there are things I need to do." Dexter said.

"Ow, are you perhaps dating anyone?" Rebecca asked again. "Don't worry, I won't be angry, I promised."

Dexter laughed. "Mom, I don't know if you will believe me but I truly regret all the unfaithfulness I did. How ironic it was right? It was always Lee's friends are the ones who had been unfaithful to their spouses and I thought if things as that will happen that it will be him who will be cheating on me but I was wrong. I was the one who cheated and more than anyone, I was the one who hurt him the most. I regret everything but I was also in deep pain and anger back then, but I know better now. I don't have any plans to date anyone much more marry again not even a fling.

Dexter hold his mother in-laws hands "Mom I want to seek permission. We bury an empty casket. Until I see Lee's body with my own eyes I won't stop looking for him."
