169 Chapter 101: The Aftermath - Part 3

"How is he?" Aiden asked, he run as fast as he can the moment he heard the news.

"They pump out those medicines in his system." Jules whispered. "I don't know why he did it. He wàs ok, I mean we even joke around and he seems very happy when I surprised him so why overdosed himself and why not tell me about those pills?" Jules blurted out, the man look desperate and sleep deprived.

"What pill?" Axel asked.

"I don't know there were all sorts of medicines laying and scattered on the floor. The doctor says they were all antj depressant drugs." Jules said. "The doctors are suspecting that he's no longer taking any of those and I thought that maybe because we are trying to have a baby. What if he got pressured about having a baby?"

"I don't think this suicide. I know Axel he won't try to kill himself." Axel denied.

"He just did!" Jules shouted with tears streaming down his eyes.

"Don't shout at my wife." Lance quickly come to the rescue and pulled Jules to his collar.

"That's enough Love." Aiden hold Lance's hand that is pulling Jules collar. Lance let go after Aiden told him to. Aiden looked at Jules who's expression is mirrors of a broken man. "He probably panicked, at least that's what I'm thinking. Axel is many things but not a coward who will take his own life cause if he is then he would have taken it a long time ago." Aiden shake his head as a smile appear to his lips that soon turned to a laugh. "I think there's even a higher chance that he would kill himself if it involves you but if not then there's nothing for you to worry about him commiting suicide."

Jules attention was on Aiden after he said that. "What do you mean by that?"

"Visual hallucinations and auditory hallucinations although rare they can happen to people with severe depression. Some even shut their selves from the real world creating their own world shielding them away from the harsh truth of the reality. I have been there so I know how it feels." Aiden whispered.

"It's the first time I heard about it. Love you didn't did you?" Lance voice is shaking as his heart is pounding fast.

"I have gone crazy Lance, that's how my father had found me. He found me in that state. When I came to my senses it didn't go away immidiately. When the coldness of the night comes and all the fears and anxieties visits you I found myself screaming and hurting myself my brother would come running to give me medicine that would help me calm down. Why do you think my brother lives next to our father's house after his marriage? It's not easy Lance but we have no choice but to be tough but no matter how tough you are if the nightmare of your fast visits you it's hard not to panic. It's hard to keep it all in, you act normal inside but you are little by little braking in the inside and when things comes rushing in all at once that you just want to make it stop there's a tendency that you will take more than what you should in hopes that it might help stop your mind and emotions to think clearly." Aiden's hands are shaking as he told them the part of his life that he buried. "I-I'll just go see my brother."

Aiden went to the roof, he took out the whole pack of cigarettes from his pocket and got one stick. "He'll know that you smoke and that will going to get him worried. I thought you quit?" Aiden looked at the familiar voice behind him.

"G. It's ok, it's just one stick, I think I need this." Aiden said.

"Hey, don't think about it too much ok? Remember what I'm always telling you since way back before. It's ok not to be ok, it's ok to be weak and be vulnerable. You sometimes have to let yourself feel this emotions. Remember that movie I have shown you?" George asked.

"Yeah inside out?" Aiden answered.

"Yup, even sadness needs to take the stage and be a star. We all need that and that what's making us human Ai. So come here." George opened his arms to invite his younger brother for a hug. Aiden hugged his brother tightly and cried like a child. On the other hand Lance is hiding on the roof top entrance.

"Feeling better now? I think you would agree that I'm better that cigarettes right?" Aiden laughed at his brother's words.

"When I heard the news I suddenly felt the fear. What if my condition before relapse? What if Lance will think I'm going crazy? What if he can't handle it?" Aiden's tears fell down one by one, his voice cracked and his hands keeps on shaking with all the anxiety that's slowly building inside him.

"Then he'll only prove that he's a trash just like what me and father thought of him the first time." George explained. "Come here, no matter what even if Lance leaves you, you will still have me and father and my wife too. We won't ever going to leave you. We have taken care of you once we can take care of you again."

Aiden laughed "Cocky."

"Yeah I'm being cocky but I think the person you need to talk to is here." George informed. "Come out now and talk to your wife like a real man." George shout and then he turned his gaze to his little brother to give him a kiss to his head before the Doctor got up and leave.

"La- Lance." Aiden's words for cut off when Lance gave him a hug from behind.

"I'm sorry, I never knew what you went through. I never even bother asking what have you been through. From now on you can tell everything to me, I won't judge and I won't ever leave you. I made that vow when I married you that I won't ever let go of you this time. So please talk to me of what you feel. You can tell everything to me."

The two spent some time there where Aiden told Lance everything. Things that he didn't told Lance that happened in those past 5 years he was gone.

ON THE HOSPITAL LOBBY...

Jules stayed there, looking lifeless. What Aiden said got him thinking, he felt so stupid for not even considering the fact that Axel might be suffering from severe depression. That he might have been hiding it all using his smiles and laughter. Jules knew there was something wrong, Axel has been having nightmares these past few days. He kept on shouting and shouting and sometimes woke up screaming. Jules brush it off as only a bad dream after all if it was something important he's sure that Axel will tell him but Axel never mentioned him anything.

Hours later Chester and Terrence came together, they didn't inform the others as much as possible they don't want to others to know yet without them finding out the whole truth and why Axel did it to his self although the Doctors already assured them that they are suspecting an intentional over dosing Jules still wanted to hear it from Axel himself.

"I should have noticed it, the signs are all there. Axel wouldn't make that mistake of mistaking me of other person and punching me. He's always so calculative and careful with his actions." Jules whispered again, he's not talking to anyone of them but to himself.

"Hey buddy, don't think about it too much." Terrence pat his cousin's back.

"How can I not think about it?!" Jules stand up as he shouted. Then he start pacing back and forth. "I almost lost him just a couple more seconds just a couple more seconds if I hadn't broken that damn door I could have lost him. You won't understand that feeling T."

Terrence got up and punch his cousin. "You don't have the right to say that to me that I don't understand cause I can fully understand that feeling!"

Jules laughed as he remained seated on the floor. "No you don't, you thought your wife run away. Mine could have died!"

"Enough both of you! You don't need to validate and invalidate one person's feelings in love. So enough because that won't help either one of you. We are not enemies here remember that." Aiden said that made the two cousins bickering from one another.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that to you T, it's just it's just." Jules start crying again. Terrence never saw Jules this broken before heck he never saw his cousin cry like this before. His cousin only cries since the moment they got there.

"Hey don't blame yourself." Chester said.

"I should have seen all the signs. He's breaking down little by little I didn't even noticed it." Jules said.

"Hey don't let him see you like this or he will feel guilty of what happened so I need you to pull yourself together Jules." Aiden said. Jules nodded and wiped his tears away.

"It's best if Axel will see experts again, let's follow what the Doctor just said. It seems that he stop visiting to one for a long time now and he's just obtaining those medications through illegal ways. He's self medicating Jules and it's not healthy and ok. He needs help" Terrence said.

"Seeing one is not something to be ashamed of Jules, if that means that he will be better then he should go and see one." Aiden added backing up Terrence statement.

"And as a husband you should make him feel that you're there with him all throughout." Terrence said.

"Hey why are you talking like you knew things like this?" Lance asked.

"Terry convinced me to see one and he has been very supportive of me. He mostly goes with me in my sessions. It helped a lot if I'm being honest. I'm so much better now." Chester said shyly.

"You too? I'm sorry Chess I didn't know." Aiden hug Chester.

"It's ok, I'm all better now. I usually wakes up most nights screaming and hurting myself and the people around me. It was really painful but I'm ok now. Terry experienced it first hand so I'm really glad that he didn't judge me instead he stayed with me this whole time." Chester admit.

Both Lance and Jules felt guilty for not even checking on what's going on with their wives, both of them have been focused on their happily married life to even noticed the war that they are battling inside.

Jules stayed by Axel's side, Axel slept for two days straight and in those days Jules didn't left Axel. He tried finding a good psychiatrist that he can trust his wife's identity. Since Axel is hiding his identity Jules needs to be thorough in protecting his identity although he already had Axel registered under the Parker's name as his wife and in those two days he was able to find a perfect person for that job. Luckily that woman is working in that hospital but not as a psychiatrist.

The door to Axel's room open and the nurse carrying Axel's medicines came in. Jules noticed that the nurse keeps on stealing glances to him. The nurse is very different than those others who comes in to give Axel's medicine who's skirts are so short that they would reveal what's under with just a little movements. Jules doesn't trust them so he talked to Aiden's brother and requested for a change of nurse that is more decent and dedicated to work. "What?" Jules asked.

"I'm sorry Sir but I can't help but feel amazed of your dedication to your brother. They said that the Omega in this room committed suicide because his husband left him said the other nurses who used to visit this room but in my opinion I don't think he did it. There are a lot of possibilities not just one so I think they shouldn't be saying things like that. Regardless even if that's true I hope someday he can be happy. Ok Done!" The nurse said happily.

"He's my wife not my brother." Jules corrected. "Not in my wildest dream I ever thought of leaving him." The nurse blushed bright red out of embarrassment. Jules tilt Axel's nape on the side a little to show the mark he made. "I won't go as far as marking him if I'm not serious to him." Jules said.

"I'm very sorry Sir." The nurse vow "I didn't know." The nurse apologize again.

"No you don't have to, you protected my wife against their false theory so thank you." Jules said. The nurse apologize again before leaving.

Jules caress Axel's hair and whispered. "I'll get you the best person who can help you my wife."

"Where have you been?" Those are the words that his step mother greeted him upon going home.

"I'm sorry but I'm tired I just want to rest." Nash said but his step mother pulled his hair and slapped him for talking back.

"How dare you talk back to me!" Nash remained silent for a while before uttering anything.

"Hit me again." He whispered but when his step mother didn't move he grab her hands and start hitting himself with it. "I said hit me again, again, again and again." Then he pushed the woman away. "I'm so numb, I could no longer feel the pain not even that slap earlier. I'm so tired, tired of pleasing you all, tired of being your bank, your money maker, I'm so tired of trying to fit myself in. I'm so tired of believing and loving him." Nash squat down on the floor and begin to cry.

"You're out of your mind!" The woman shouted at him and then left Nash alone who's still crying.

Nash went inside his room, he looked at himself in the mirror. He knows he's not beautiful but when he start loosing weight his features can be passed as something that is ok, average but above of being ugly as he was before. He really worked hard on that, to surprise Adrian. He thought that his Alpha would love it since Adrian thinks he's beautiful even in his most unattractive state. Nash was very excited that the Alpha would fall deeply more in love with him once he saw him but that didn't happen. Adrian vanished, he suddenly can't be reached, he never showed his face again and then a news reached him. He was only going to confirm that what his friends told his is not true but it turns out that it is. He even secretly hopes that Adrian will leave the party to run after him and maybe if he did he would turn a blind eye and forgive him but the Alpha didn't run after him. He just let him, let him run away that's why he never answered his calls. Nash made up his mind in those two days. He made up his mind, that he will erased Adrian's traces in his life even that mark he left he will erased it and it's meaning to his life.

That day Nash became a different person far from who he really is. He wash himself up and prepare himself to go to work as he has been absent from work. He walk in like nothing happened in the past 2 days.

"Hey do you see Nash?" Said the employee from a different department.

"Yes he's getting hotter lately, not your pretty kind but you can still say he has this appeal." answered the other man

Asked his co worker who's talking about him earlier. "I never really thought that you had it in you. I was never really expecting it." Nash didn't say anything he closed the cover of the bowl and let the man sit on it while his pants are still off. Nash took off his pants and underwear. "Lube?" Nash asked.

Adrian came running on the corridor of the hospital and there he saw his friends and their wives and lovers ligning. "What happened?" Adrian asked.

"I can't believe it that you still have the audacity to ask!" Nicolas hit Adrian but Zeejay and others pulled Nicolas away from Adrian.

"What?! How would I know if none of you would answer me!"

"Ask this man!" Nicolas pointed at the man who brought Nash in the hospital. His shirt is full of blood.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry I didn't know I swear. Please." The man looked traumatized, judging from all his friends expression he's assuming that they already contributed as to why the man is shaking in fear.

"What happened tell me, I won't lash out on you." Adrian said assuring the guy.

"P-promise?" The guy asked.

When Nash opened his eyes his was greeted by the white ceiling he's not familiar with which only mean one thing that what happened is real. It came to a shock to him too, the baby is almost 5 months and yet he didn't even noticed. Maybe if he knew he wouldn't have done all those stupid things but it was done. There's nothing left for him anymore, not Adrian and not even their baby.

"B-babe?" Adrian said that seems to him looks like he just woke up. Nash remained silent and looked at him without any emotions to his eyes.

"Babe, are you hurting anywhere?" Adrian asked.

"What are you doing here?" Nash asked in his hoarse scratchy voice.

"Ow I'm taking care of you, the the doctor said that you are fine, maybe a couple more days here then we can finally go home. I-I bought a house for us, do you want to see it after you got discharged here?" Adrian said happily.

"I slept with other people." Nash said in a very low voice.

"It's alright, I can totally understand why you did it and and I forgive you so let's just forget about it." There's sadness to Adrian's voice contrary to his face that's smiling.

"But I can't forgive you, let's end this. This time let's end it for real. I want a closure between us." Adrian dropped the knife he's holding to peel the apple.

"If it's about that, I'm not angry and about the engagement I'm sorry that I didn't tell you. Jeffrey and I don't have any relationship, I never slept with him not even once. B-babe listen to me, my Mom she she approves our relationship only if I'll marry him. We will only be a couple in the eyes of the public but behind the curtain it is you. Maybe the reason why my child is gone is so that he won't suffer that kind of fate." Nash is agonizing and mourning but even so not a single drop of tears left his eyes. "We need to end this." Nash said in a very sad calm voice.

"No, I won't accept it. I will kneel and beg you. Babe Nash listen to me." Adrian kneeled in front of Nash but that can't even break Nash's ice cold hard heart that seems not beating anymore, numb by all the pain caused by the man who once saved him.

Axel found himself running he's looking for someone in the midst of the blazing fire that is eating away that place. Bodies of children are on the floor he doesn't know how he got in that place in the first place but he knew that he needed to look for that person. He forgot who but he's desperate to find that person, then a voice called out his name. The man is beautiful he doesn't know why but he's gravitated towards that man. "Who are you?" Axel asked.

"I'm your husband." Says the man, Axel laugh.

"How can I have a husband when I'm not married?" The man show him his own ring and then point out on his ring finger. Axel stayed silent for a while before slowly lifting his left hand to look at his ring finger and there the ring was, sitting beautifully on his finger.

"This can't be possible." The man walked towards him and hug him tightly.

"It's possible sweety." For some reason Axel felt warm and at ease that man's presence compare to that man he's running away from and then he remember the man he's running away from so he pulled his husband to run away from that place but a loud shot of a gun brought his husband down and lifeless on the floor. His tears start falling down from his eyes one by one even though he just met the man. "Jules." His mouth whispered, he doesn't know how he came to know the man's name who's claiming to be his husband but the only thing he knew is that his heart is breaking and grieving at the same time.

"You might have run away from my father but you can't run away from me again." Axel looked at the man he has known for a long time with contempt but all life has no meaning for him now, he looked at his surrounding being eaten away by fire and gave the man a smile.

"You won't be able to follow me in the after life." Axel said before he threw himself into the blazing fire.

Axel woke up he was able to calm down after he knew it was just a dream but the sound of the man moaning on top of him brought him back to the reality, he tried to move his hands but it was all tied "Jules sweety can you untie me?" Axel felt strange considering Jules is not the kind of man who would have sex with him unconsciously, he always respect and treat him as gently as he can but when Jules didn't responded that's the time he looked at the man who's rumming his jewel inside of him and in that instant he was horrified. "No... no... no this can't be happening."

"Ow you're awake, now lift your hips higher and spread your legs even more." Says the man

"No, this can't be true, you're dead, you're dead. Let me go, let me go you're dead, you're dead. Don't touch me. Vladimir don't touch me!" Axel is acting hysterically. He's beyond horrified.

"I'm not dead." Say the man.

"No, you're dead. You, you died in that fire and and I'm married and and he marked me so so I can't with with the other guys." Axel's voice is breaking.

"Ow you mean this man?!" The man on top of Axel pulled out a dead man's head that is very familiar to him.

"Jules no, no ,no!" Axel screamed.

"Let him watch as we make love, and I also brought you best friend here to watch and the children as well. Let them be our witness. You can never escape me Axel. I brought you, feed you, groom you all you are belongs to me." The man's face become bloody and the burnt faces of the children and Nelson is looking at him with contempt.

"How can you be happy why we are suffering?"

"Why did you left us there?"

"Why did you let us die there?"

"I'm sorry, I couldn't bring you all, I'm so sorry." Axel sob

"You won't be able to save anyone, at this point you will only going to have them killed." Nelson said. "You have to admit, the only reason why you marry that man is so that you can free yourself. That's not love." Nelson walk towards him while Vladimir continued to violate his body.

"No I love him, I never intended to use him, no." Axel said.

"No, if you love him then why is he dead? Why are they dead? You told them who Jeffrey is and they tried to investigate them. You killed them Axel."

"No no Nelson, I was only helping, I was only helping. I want to be free. I want to love him freely, is it really hard to have my freedom back?" .

"We are not entitled for that thing called freedom. It is something we can't afford. Look at me, look at all the kids I tried to free. We are all dead now! You left me and the kids. If you just showed up earlier then we probably have succeeded. You only think about your safety. Yourself, you don't deserve to be happy. No matter where you go the man you have been hiding from will catch you and bring you back to that hell hole again!"

Nelson and the kids burnt bodies start disappearing one by one and the man who's on top of him transformed to Victor.

"No, no, no don't leave me here! Please don't don't. Get away from me get away! You're not real, you're not real!"

"Axel, Axel wake up! wake up!" A hard slapped brought Axel back to reality. His face are full of tears and his hands have blood splattered around him. He felt Jules warm embrace. "You're away finally. You've got me worried."

Axel hiccup because of the too much sobbing and crying. "I'm here, I'm here no one can hurt you here. I'm here now. I won't ever leave you." Jules whispered. Axel didn't say anything he just let himself be vulnerable in front of his husband.
